What are people saying about Munich

Had so much fun on this ghost and spirit walk! A+ 10 stars
We had a lot of fun with our tour guide Tony. I’m so happy we took a chance and went on this ghost walk. Not only did we see a lot of parts of Munich that we hadn’t been to before, but we also learned a lot of history - from WWII and way before! I wasn’t expecting to learn so much about the culture and people as well. There are little alcoholic drinks sprinkled through out the tour, so be sure to tell the operator if you don’t drink before the tour! I also appreciated that this tour is offered in the evening as there aren’t a lot of tours later on. It was pleasant and cool outside and felt nice after a hot day in the sun. It was also a nice time chunk- and didn’t feel rushed at all. The pacing was good. Thanks Tony!

Excellent tour!
Ozzie was our tour guide for an immersive Munich city walking tour — way worthy of our time and attention. With over 20 years of experience, he's incredibly knowledgeable. When I come back, I'll look for his tour again.
He's the kind of person who tells you directly, "these are the facts," and lets you consider everything discussed as you like and at your own tolerance. No hiding, no spin — just the facts. We had a great lunch at the Viktualienmarkt, drank some beer, walked, talked, and listened. Everyone liked him.
He even helped our fellow travelers who'd run into a problem with their rental car — he called the rental place on their behalf and got it solved. Yes, he really did. Impressive.

This was an incredible...
This was an incredible experience to experience a sobering part of history, which was explained very well. Aileen was an incredible guide. The early start was helpful, as it got much more crowded as we were leaving. It seems like a long time but it doesn't feel like a long time because it is so interesting and the guide was so engaging. Highly recommend. I would say a must do in Munich.

A must for Munich visitors
Did this walking tour with my wife and two friends we’d met from Australia. Josh was incredibly informative and clearly passionate about the history. I thought a three hour tour covering such a dark period would feel very heavy, but Josh kept the pace flowing so well that the time flew by. He managed to convey both the atrocities and the moments of hope with real clarity and respect.
We all learned a lot, and this tour, especially with Josh as the guide, is highly recommended.

Munich Olde Town Walking Tour
We joined this tour as we wanted to learn a little bit about Munich while we were there. Our Tour Guide was Timmy. He made the tour fun and interesting. This tour is not a deep into history, especially of the Third Reich, if you want that there are other tours to take from the company. However, this was fun and entertaining and we liked it.

Highly recommended; excellent guide
Our guide, James, took care of train tickets and bus tickets for the trip to the memorial, so travel was hassle-free. After a brief intro before we boarded the S Bahn, he explained clearly the history of Hitler and the Nazis as well as the origin of the camps. Our tour in the memorial itself was thorough and included James's clear explanations througout. James was friendly and informative, perfect for a guide, and appropriately somber when addressing the horrors that occured at Dachau and other camps. Highly recommended.

Good beer, good company
Aileen was an amazing tour guide and lots of fun! We knew exactly what to expect and she walked with us around the city to get to our 3 different locations. While we were at the last stop eating she gave my husband and I great recommendations for the rest of our stay in Munich. The beer was amazing and super cool to see the process and hear the history. It was also a nice first thing to do in the city to meet other people and talk/ ask about other fun activities.

A visit that stays with you
Our visit to Dachau was an impressive experience. Thanks in large part to the lovely guide Conni, it became an unforgettable journey through this intense yet important part of history. Conni had a remarkable ability to strike just the right tone: engaged, respectful, and above all, deeply sincere. Through her knowledge and personal stories from, among others, former prisoners, she brought the history very close to us. At times visibly moved by what she shared, she put into words what is almost impossible to comprehend and offered a powerful perspective on what took place there — events that are nearly impossible to truly grasp when visiting a place like Dachau.
Dachau itself is carefully preserved and offers a clear impression of what it looked like at the time. This place invites reflection and confronts you with the connection between past and present, in a world where unrest and hardship are still very much present. It highlights how important it is to pause and reflect on this history — to never forget, to remain aware of what has happened, and to carry that awareness into how we act and what we pass on to those around us.

Amazing experience,...
Amazing experience, 10/10, I want to do a bike tour in every city I travel to now! My partner and I both consider ourselves decent riders and had no issues on this tour. If you're not too confident on a bike though I might not recommend because you do have to weave through people and navigate cars/roads a little bit. Plus, you get a great discount if you want to rent bike's through Mike's Bike Rentals on a separate day which we ended up doing so we could ride through the English Gardens. Munich has such great biking infrastructure, this is definitely an opportunity you should take!

A ‘must do’ tour!
After learning modern history at school, I really wanted to do this tour. Tom, our fabulous guide took us through the timeline of Hitler and the beginnings of his political life. Tom’s knowledge was very good and kept moving us to the various locations relevant to the parts of Hitler’s time in Munich. Just fascinating and the tour lived up to my expectations and more! Highly recommend this tour to appreciate and understand how Hitler came to power.

Great walking tour
We really enjoyed our walking tour. Our guide, Bernie, was so nice and full of great information. He kept it interesting and we learned a lot about the history of each of the stops we made. We saw a lot and our whole family of five had a lot of fun - even though it was really cold day. Definitely recommend!

This was an absolutely amazing experience! Our guide, Helio, was fantastic. Not only did he ensure everyone’s safety by clearly communicating stops and directions, he was also knowledgeable about the history and had lots of good recommendations for things to do in the city. He was funny and personable. The tour itself was also really cool. We got to experience the highlights and get to know the city in a new way.

Despite Munich’s efficient public transport system, its Old Town and shopping areas are compact and ideally explored on foot. If you’re not familiar with the city, Munich walking tours offer the perfect solution. While some tours delve into World War II sites associated with the Third Reich, others cover Old Town highlights, ghost-themed adventures, culinary explorations, and customizable private experiences. Whether you’re drawn to history, culture, or gastronomy, discovering the city on foot can be tailored to every preference.
