Fun guide, beautiful castles

The tour was great. Our guide Pedro was knowledgeable, funny, efficient, and kind. We had just enough time to explore each area and Pedro was really good at adjusting the schedule and keeping the group on time. Both castles were gorgeous. I was a little disappointed with the Neuschwanstein tour as our guide did not say one word other than to tell us to listen to the audio guide. I had questions and would have liked a mire personalized tour rather than being read the Wikipedia summary, but that was a Neuschwanstein thing not the tour. The bus tour was great! I highly recommend it.

A must do trip

What a wonderful experience. The excursion bus was very comfortable. Our guide Ursula was a treasure. She had so much fascinating information about the country side, the castles and about Ludwig and his life. The stops along the way gave us a chance to really see the lifestyle. Three of us took the Berchtesgaden and Eagles Nest tour. It was just perfect. We had a wonderful driver and our guide Bea is so knowledgeable and her English is excellent. I thought I knew history but she was able to share much more insight and facts about Hitler and the war and his Eagles Nest than I already knew.

Very interesting tour. Hard to wrap one’s head around the horror and abuses that occurred here! Man’s inhumanity to man! We must never forget and never let something like this happen again! We liked our guide, but had a little trouble understanding some of his English.

Great tour with kids!

We had a great time on this tour with Dave! Really fun and very organized. We did the coaster and it was the best one ever (we've done several)! The castle views were gorgeous. We didn't do the inside tour and just chilled outside and in town a little. Our kids (10 and 14) have been to a lot of castles, somehow, so they aren't that interested in looking at the interior. The lake at the bottom of the castle is so pretty and we walked in the crystal clear water a little. Don't miss that view. It's just past the bus parking. Great trip! Thanks Dave!

Perfect tour

Amazing experience. En route we learned new things about Munich. Hanae was amazing. The entire staff were very communicative and friendly. The 9:30 departure was perfect. We went to two castles. 10/10 recommend. We looked online last minute and castle tickets were sold out. But we were able to purchase tickets via the bus.

2026 Germany Trip

Elof was phenomenal and very encouraging, as we had to walk a lot and some of the terrain was very steep. He kept us informed and shared some great insights during our bus ride to and from the tour. It was a great experience, and we are glad we had the opportunity to go and visit the beautiful castles.

Well worth it!

Definitely get to see and cover more on a bike tour. Great intro. to Munich. Mike's friendly, professional staff are amazing. I got totally lost and was very late. So grateful to the office lady who kindly turned my diaster into a very positive experience. She organised a staff member to lead me to the tour that was already underway. Bob, tour leader, was welcoming & very infomative regarding Munich's past/present history. We were quite a large group, Bob taught bike lane protocol, crossing safety & guided us well along bike lanes & streets. Glad to have been able to do this excursion with Mikes Bike tours. Well worth doing!

We had a great day on our tour visiting Neuschwanstein Castle. The Castle is stunning! Well worth the additional admission fee to go inside! Charlie our tour guide was fantastic, so knowledgeable of the local area and knew all his history not just about the Castle and Munich but also about the Bavarian Royal family. We highly recommend this tour and if you are lucky enough to get Charlie as your guide you are sure to be in for a history lesson too!

Amazing guide for an amazing city

Our guide, Leon, was a wonderful navigator and was also very knowledgeable regarding his beautiful city. We were only in the city for a few days and we finished our tour with a recommended list of places to eat and places to explore. I couldn’t recommend this activity enough, especially if you’re a history geek or just want to touch the surface of what Munich has to offer!
