Great Tour with a Great Guide - Timmy!

Great tour - highly recommend! Radius Tour Company was excellent to work with. Timmy was a great guide, very nice guy, funny and moved the group along at a very comfortable pace. He provided interesting facts about Munich and the old Town sites without the tour becoming a two hour history lecture. He also gave practical advice on how else to spend time in Munich.

Blame Ludwig, not the tour, stunning but not accessible

Best experience for a family on the go as our family enjoyed the traditional food in the nearby village, souvenir shopping and seeing the castle from the shoos. That said, there are many steps and a tight timeline, so I wouldn't call it accessible. Both our daughters, one blind, the other a wheelchair user who also relies on crutches, wouldn't have been able to manage it. That's less a reflection on this excursion provider and more on the fact that King Ludwig II wasn't thinking about accessibility back in the 19th century!

Excellent tour

Our guide was phenomenal. Her knowledge was excellent and she was so respectful and managed a large group well. The tour of Dachau was moving and a reminder to not let history repeat itself. The most refreshing thing I appreciate was that the guide did not constantly spruik herself or ask for tips at the end of the tour. Three other tours/tour companies in Munich and the guide constantly talk about themselves and push hard at the end. It takes away from the joy of the experience. We are here for the sites and to learn about this beautiful city and country. I would definitely do other tours with Radius.

Informative and would go it again!

Tour guide (Jamie) was very knowledgeable, detailed and friendly! Met at the train station and he got us there with no problem. You can do all of it yourself with self audio if you want to save money, but we appreciated the guided tour and felt we learned more. Dachau itself was very spread out with lots of walking, but he was organized and walked us thru each section so no backtracking. We had about 45 min free time to revisit any of the locations as we wanted.

This tour MUST be done with the VIP experience: this is a full day, schedule is tight but if you are in a vip tour you get all the spots and more! Palace, grotto and castle and a very eccentric king!!

What a treat to see some of the Bavarian countryside and especially to tour these interesting sites. The palace & grotto and castle were all fascinating and our tour guide Aileen was very knowledgeable and well informed on the history and peculiarities as to how they came to be. The views from the castle site are incredible - so glad we had the chance to experience all of this!!

A ‘must do’ tour!

After learning modern history at school, I really wanted to do this tour. Tom, our fabulous guide took us through the timeline of Hitler and the beginnings of his political life. Tom’s knowledge was very good and kept moving us to the various locations relevant to the parts of Hitler’s time in Munich. Just fascinating and the tour lived up to my expectations and more! Highly recommend this tour to appreciate and understand how Hitler came to power.

Was not expecting much....

Was not expecting much. Went with a friend who wanted to see the Cinderella castle. Jeremy really brought the history to life and I enjoyed his humor. He provided just enough well-timed narration throughout the day. Thank you. Even w torrential downpour and the bus breaking down, I thoroughly enjoyed myself.
