Your day trip to Neuschwanstein Castle starts with the train or bus journey from Munich through the German countryside. The entrance fee to the castle is not included (you can pay on the day), but by booking this tour in advance, you receive skip-the-line access to Neuschwanstein so you won’t waste time standing in the ticket queue.
Once inside the enchanting structure, take a tour with a guide, who shares fascinating stories about the reclusive Bavarian king who commissioned a new residence in the 19th century. This was an amazing day. What beautiful country side to see as you ride to the castle. The castle was beautiful and very elaborate. Definitely worth the trip. Connie our tour guide was amazing. She was very knowledgeable and funny. Would definitely recommend her as your tour guide!

If you’re on the fence about booking this tour, go ahead and book it—you won’t regret it. Our experience started off smoothly, with an easy-to-find office and a seamless check-in process. From the moment we met our guide, we felt well taken care of from start to finish.
I can’t say enough great things about our guide, Anna. She was confident, funny, knowledgeable, and genuinely caring. At the beginning, she took the time to ask where each of the 35 guests was from—and somehow remembered everyone. My husband and I travel often and have been on many tours, but we’ve never encountered a guide with this level of attentiveness. She always knew who was with the group and could immediately tell if someone was missing at a meeting point.
On the bus ride to the castle, her passion for the subject really stood out. She kept us engaged, curious, and eager to learn more. She also answered every question we had—even the random, unrelated ones I threw her way!
Anna is truly a warm, kind and exceptional person. She made our day unforgettable and elevated the entire experience far beyond our expectations.

This trip was wonderful and Lana was an amazing guide. She was funny, informative, and I believe I learned a lot during our hike up to the castle and during transportation to and from the castle. Lana was very honest about how long certain routes to and from the castle would take and offered her expert knowledge at every step.

The beautiful guide, Anna was a calm, warm and welcoming tour guide sharing the very interesting history of former King Ludwig II with great enthusiasm throughout the entire journey to Neuschwanstein Castle!
It is a very long journey if there are train delays, however your guide will keep you entertained throughout the trip with interesting history of Munich and Bavaria :)

It was my first time in München with my partner and we booked the Neuschwanstein schloss tour with Radius tours. Our tour guide Thomas had a great energy from the beginning! He is a great storyteller and ensures everyone on the tour is understanding the history and story behind the castle. He has a great sense of humor and we enjoyed every explanation of the castle, paintings and the history behind Bavaria through him. I felt like I was time traveling to Prince Ludwig's time after hearing the stories on the way and when I was inside the castle. Would recommend this tour to visit this castle who travels to München.

This is a lovely tour for all - very family friendly - a little bit of walking but not too hectic. Both castles and the surrounding area are stunning. The tour inside is a little less exciting than expected but hey..

Amazing tour. Our guide Stephanie was great. She was informative, funny, and had lots of knowledge of the tour. Be prepared to walk uphill and downhill and up stairs. Bring water with you for the tour.

Tour guide Thomas was absolutely incredible all day; knowledgeable, informative, and patient with the entire group. The scenery and setting were painted as if from a fairy tale, and given the setting, it was entirely apt. Neuschwanstein was amazing!

From start to finish our day was so well organised and amazing. We took a bus ride with Lana who was both witty and sweet. She looked out for everyone and made sure everyone felt welcome. We were very excited when we got there as it had been snowing previously and it was a winter wonderland. Everything went smoothly and we even got to walk to the lake and Hohenschwangau Castle. Our family had an amazing day!

A scenic bus ride to Neuschwanstein Castle. The castle is very interesting but not all rooms were finished. We had a long walk to the castle but enjoyed it with others on the tour and a cafe outside of the castle. A very worthwhile tour!

Beautiful day at the Castle. Loved the cute town and the magical atmosphere of the Castle. We had a lovely day and took so many great pictures. Our Guide Fran Jo was very informative and personable. There was snow on the ground and that made it extra special. The Tour of the Castle is only 30 minutes but worth seeing…the artwork is amazing! Just go, you won’t regret it.

We went to Fussen by train and to castle by bus. From Marienbridge the view was stunning and castle itself is very beautiful but guided tour inside is only 30 minutes and that’s a bit disappointing. Luckily we had a wonderful guide Charly who was very knowledgeable and tell the history of King Ludwig II and his castle.

The tour company makes it clear that it is at least a ten hour day. Ours was 11 hours due to train delay. The castle surroundings and exterior views are beautiful. Fortunately we had good weather. The interior of the castle is incredibly beautiful and unique. The tour inside the castle is run by the state of Bavaria; it is very regimented and insufficient time is provided (only about 20 minutes in the attractive rooms) to assess and admire the beautiful interior.
The tour company organized what it could control very well and our guide, Anna, was knowledgeable, enthusiastic and very helpful.
I recommend that you only undertake this tour in fair weather.

It is an incredible experience, but it is a very long day and a lot of walking and climbing stair cases. We saw folks struggling to keep up. Our guide, Dan, was excellent, has so much knowledge and helped whenever and with what ever he was asked for.

Lovely one day trip through the Bavarian Alps to Neuschwanstein Castle. Plenty of opportunities for great photos outside of the castle and the immediate surroundings. Good spots for food, drink, and souvenirs. Was happy to learn that there's a bus that takes you up the hill to the castle entry point, so it's possible for all ages to participate. There are still a fair number of steps inside of the castle, so visitors need to keep that in mind.

Jake/Jack (sry, forgetting his exact name) was excellent. Funny, equalizing in his humor. I really liked meeting everyone and by their country of origin - it helped to recognize ppl along the way and talk to those we would have something in common with. I wasn't prepared for all the information we got - it was fantastic, I took so many notes! I appreciate the freedom to 'chose your own adventure' w pro tips along the way (the bridge!). I probably would have been annoyed, had I not already read it from others, that the actual tour inside the castle was an additional cost (and thankfully also had a card that could pay for it easily, as I was out of cash) - that should be put in writing ahead of time! Other than that though, It was a beautiful day I will treasure for a long time <3

This tour was absolutely magical! Seeing Neuschwanstein in person felt like stepping straight into a fairytale — the scenery leading up to the castle was breathtaking. Our guide made the journey so enjoyable, sharing the fascinating story of King Ludwig II and pointing out things we never would’ve noticed on our own. The whole day was beautifully organized, and the photo stops along the way were stunning. Definitely one of the highlights of our entire trip!
