Brewing Up Bavaria…
Such an informative tour filled with history, humor, great food and delicious beer. Learned so much about the “purity laws” of brewing and the origins of beer in Munich. Our guide, Jeremy, was terrific. Very good at what he does. Made the tour a highlight of our visit to Munich!

I was only in Munich for...
I was only in Munich for a short amount of time and this was a great way to experience it. I enjoyed learning about the history of the Viktualienmarkt and Marienplatz and about the different vendors and restaurants. We tried so many fun and traditional dishes. I especially loved the Bavarian cheese and sausages! Really enjoyable way to taste so many great foods in Munich.

Yummy delicious tour!! You will leave full and happy!!
Wow! What an experience!!
I have never had Bavarian food before so I was not sure what I was getting myself into but oh boy was it delicious!!
Our guide was Renate and she was super knowledgeable of everything we asked her, from the local beer to the local cuisines and local pastries (surprisingly the apple streusel is an Austrian dish not German, a fun fact from Renate lol) but along side food knowledge, she gave us good history on Marienplatz and all the various churches that surrounds the area. Little shops she will stop by and let us know little knowledge from the knives the men carry, the food stalls and what is popular to eat to the various flower arrangements found in Viktualienmarkt.
Be ready to eat! the portion you will eat at lunch is massive. I am a big eater and have no problem finishing my meal but even I could not finish the roast pork (which btw the cabbage slaw/salad + potato salad is the best thing ever!). Renate was kind enough to show us into Hofbräuhaus and give us a history lesson there so it was cool to listen into the tavern and hear the local play their music and accordions.
Definitely ask for Renate!! She was super kind and sweet and definitely make accommodations for my mom who was a slower walker than the rest of the group so thank you Renate!! She even gave us good recommendations for local spots to eat + shopping areas too!
All in all, you will not regret this tour. You will leave happy and full + a good knowledge on Munich food culture!!

Great tour, yummy food and a great guide!
This was a great tour & the tour guide is why! We went on a Friday & the meeting point was perfect to watch the Glockenspiel clock & then we were off. Not only did Noel educate on the local food & beer but he gave us history information along the way. He also gave recommendations and his card to contact him if we had any other questions on what to do or see.

We had fun
Michael kept us entertained and was very informative. Got to try beer from a couple different places and learn some history about beer in Munich. The Paulaner microbrewery was very nice and my husband enjoyed the seasonal beer they offered. Would recommend.

A highly informative tour and engaging tour guide
Dan, our tour guide, was a native of Munich, who spoke very clear English, and was both knowledgeable and engaging. He told us about relevant history and legends for the places we visited, took us inside 2 churches,. and showed us the glockenspiel in action at noon when the figures were dancing. With just 6 people on the tour with us, it was easy to speak with each other and with Dan and have all our questions answered. We would highly recommend!

Fun night with new friends!
We visited two non-touristy beer gardens. Our guide, Dan, was full of knowledge about Munich, beer, history, and much more. Both my husband and 18-year-old son and I all had a great time. There were two other men in the tour group and we all made friends quickly and enjoyed a fun night together.

An Educational and Thought-Provoking Experience
Emmett did an outstanding job leading our World War II tour. He was incredibly knowledgeable and kept the group engaged by asking thought-provoking questions while also taking the time to answer everyone’s questions thoroughly.
One thing that really stood out was his ability to present historical facts while also addressing and debunking common myths, which gave us a much deeper understanding of the events. Although the subject matter is incredibly somber, Emmett handled it with professionalism, respect, and compassion. He presented the information in a way that was educational, engaging, and thought-provoking without losing sight of the human impact of the history.
This was an exceptional tour, and we left with a greater appreciation and understanding of World War II. We highly recommend taking a tour with Emmett.

We had a lot of fun in...
We had a lot of fun in this food tour. Kevin was very nice and informative about Munich history and the food we had. He also gave us great recommendations for places to visit in Munich like the duetsches Museum. The food was great and I particularly liked the Munich white sausage and falafel. I would recommend this tour to anyone who enjoys history and bavarian food.

Fun Bavarian Food walking tour
Great experience- loved our tour guide Michael - he was full of historic facts & local food insights. He was a great host & made the time together feel like a fun gathering of friends instead of an awkward outing w strangers. Good way to taste local favorites & tour Munich old town & get some of the local vibe.

Gabi was a wonderful host...
Gabi was a wonderful host and guide. Her knowledge and love of architecture are apparent.
The food was delicious. Large portions at lunch.
Note: most retail and many restaurants are closed on Sunday. If you want to experience the city at its fullest, perhaps plan a day other than Sunday.

Truly the best way to explore the markets!
What an amazing time exploring the Christmas markets! I got to go to all the markets that were on my list to go to in Munich, while also trying Glühwein and snacks that I otherwise wouldn’t have found. We also had time to browse the stands nearby and I got the perfect Christmas gifts to bring home to family. I learned so much about the history and our guide Katrina was amazing. Thank you so much BlackBook!
