Julio was a wonderful and attentive tour guide. Great tour of Sintra and Pena Palace, stopping at various sights and scenic overlooks along the way. We were treated to an authentic Sunday Portuguese lunch followed by award winning pasteis de nata. Then it was off to self-guided walk through Quinta da Regaleira, and a drive out to Cabo de Roca, the westernmost point of Europe. Julio graciously allowed my wife and I to take a catnap on the way, as we were still feeling the jet lag from the day before. By the end of the day, we were happy to just drive through Cascais to see the sights and say we'd been there! Julio is an excellent and safe driver on Lisbon and Sintra's narrow and winding roads. We were in good hands. All in all, a great day and very happy we took this tour.

My husband and I had a terrific time with tour guide Bruno and one other traveler on this five-hour, small-group trip to Sintra. We toured the inside of the Pena Palace and then drove past several other sites of interest, taking in the whole area, which would have been almost impossible to do without a car. Since we prefer to avoid the hassle of renting/driving/parking cars in foreign countries, this was definitely the way to go. Apart from not having to worry about logistics, the real plus of the day was the value that Bruno added. Knowledgeable, relaxed, personable — he helped our little group click almost immediately and kept things humming the whole day. He was very present — a good listener — and helped us connect with the things that really interested us and with each other. I would recommend Bruno for any tour he leads. Speaking of interests, if we had to do it over again, we might look for a version of this tour that included a look inside Monserrate, beyond an exterior viewing. But it’s hard to know — there are SO MANY sites in Sintra that it’s a little mind-boggling, and difficult to determine which ones you might want to spend more time at, until you actually see the lay of the land. All in all, we felt the amount we were able to see and learn in this particular half-day tour was pretty much on target for our energy level and attention span.

IMy family have a wonderful and extraordinary excursion with an excellent tour guide Andrew. Andrew gave us an exciting jeep experience travel and free time to enjoy on the beach and beautiful scenic sea shore. No rush and joyful musical ride. I took many photos. I enjoy very much.
