Join our seasoned guides with a passion for the ocean for a snorkeling session to see the world underneath the waves. We offer high-quality dive gear and wetsuits to keep you comfortable in the cool ocean temperatures. Leopard sharks, sea turtles, Garibaldi, and sea lions are just some of the sea life you might witness. We’ll tour the famous La Jolla shoreline and make our way to the famous Emerald Cave. (Participants must know how to swim.)

We'll meet at our shop - the La Jolla Cove MARKET. It's a small shop, a quick walk up from where we'll jump into the ocean! We'll suit up there! There's a big sign that says MARKET. Here's the address: 8008 Girard Ave, Suite 190, La Jolla, CA. Please arrive 20-30 minutes early for your tour.

Had an amazing experience with Jayne. She was very informative and made sure I had a great time. She also helped me release a muscle cramp - once again, thank you for that! :) The tour took place in late September and the visibility was great. I had a 7 mm wetsuit on which was perfect for approx. 67 F water temperature - I didn’t feel any cold and felt like I could stay in the water for hours. We saw a cute horn shark, lots of Garibaldis, a sheephead, and lots of other fish. We also visited a few caves, but the main highlight of the tour for me were the sea lions. It was amazing to see them swim around. The adults tend to keep their distance, but be prepared that a curious and playful pup might come really close to check you out :) Overall, I had a great time and will definitely be back! This snorkel tour is outside of La Jolla Cove and explores the caves just beyond. Floatation devices are NOT included. I would not recommend this if you do not feel confident swimming in open ocean. I would rate this activity as enjoyable for STRONG, CONFIDENT Swimmers only. If you are not used to exerting yourself physical and are anxious about being in the ocean then I don't think this is an activity for you.

The tour was fantastic. Our guide, Jane, was knowledgeable and pleasant. We never would have done the cave without her. We felt safe in the water with her too. We had a great time and would not hesitate to book a tour with them again. If I can give one piece of advice to people taking the tour, Bring $5. We wanted to tip her at the end but of course left our money in the car for safety.

I had a bad snorkeling experience. It felt dangerous because there were no safety measures in place. If someone gets tired in the water, there’s no support or help available. Also, there wasn’t much to see, which made the whole experience disappointing and unsafe.”

Guide was capable and fun. Skylar was her name. She is the same age as my daughter so they enjoyed each other’s company. Saw sea lions, girabaldi and a ray. Got to enter the cave too!

Leave extra time to commute and to find parking. They tell you to arrive 30 minutes early so make sure you leave extra time.

Case and Max gave us an amazing tour, it was mine and my boyfriend’s first time snorkeling, they made the tour fun and gave really helpful tips to snorkel better. I would definitely do this tour again!

Great adventure! The waters are beautiful and we were able to see lots of sea life on the reefs. Our tour guides Skyler and Maddie were friendly, supportive, and knowledgeable about the local wildlife and area! Perfect day activity!

We had a great time w Cass who walked us down to the cove , explained everything , added some interesting facts about the cove and it’s
inhabitants. Took us on a snorkel swim to see all the wildlife in the water, swam through the cave, took a nibble of the edible sea kelp (celery of the sea) and then made our way back to the cove where we were joined by a few seals. Super fun experience with our 10 year old son

A fun trip, thoughtful guide and worth booking. We had close encounter with a sea lion while snorkeling so that was memorable and the beauty of the area is mesmerizing.

It was great but the waves were more than I expected. As a senior citizen, it was hard for me to stay upright while the tour guide was explaining the area. I had a few bad calf muscles cramps which made me panic. She was great to help me calm down.

Very fun to snorkel and see the fishies! It was something cool and different to do. It is a little bit challenging if you aren’t a strong swimmer, but they will make sure that you get back to shore safely.

The description of the experience is missing some very important details. (1) If you want a wetsuit, it’s an additional $15 per person. This was not at all clear. (2) The “cove” is not gentle, calm, or serene. The waves crash and the current is strong. (3) They take you out very far, so make sure you’re a strong (and brave!) swimmer. Half of my party ended up opting out once we saw what we were up against. The description left us all very unprepared & overwhelmed. I would not recommend this activity for the faint of heart.

Maddy and Skyler were great. Both my daughters, my wife and I. We all had a great time and the guides were knowledgeable and and very professional. Showed us the caves and the shore line. My one daughter got tired and Maddy was nice enough to take her back to shore and drop her off. Would do it again.

We had an amazing time on our snorkeling tour, and a big part of that was thanks to our wonderful guide, Cass! From start to finish, Cass was incredibly friendly, welcoming, and full of positive energy. She made everyone feel comfortable and confident, regardless of experience level.

Weren’t able to go in. asked for refund because we heard from the group in front of us that they didn’t see anything. They refused to give us a refund and we had to go with them just to not be able to go inside the water.

Cass and Skyler were GREAT on our La Jolla snorkeling adventure. While the water was a bit choppy, they we're very knowledgeable of the area and made it a lot of fun. Would absolutely recommend booking both Cass and Skylar!

We had a great time, Cass was amazing! She is very knowledgeable and was very patient, gave us tips is we started to feel tired, took pictures of us. She’s simply the best! We got to see different fish a male sea lion. I would definitely recommend and do it again.

Jane made it very comfortable to go on this snorkeling trip, it was our first time snorkeling and we would definitely do it again. Definitely recommend getting wetsuit, helps with bouyancy and you dont have to worry about getting tired either because of the help from the wetsuit. The fins definitely help too, only thing I would change is going closer to summer time where there is more chance of it being a sunnier day outside.
