Great Family Adventure
Sailing an America’s Cup 12 meter is a rare opportunity. Stars & Stripes was significant to the USA recapturing the America Cup. Captain Pete is s legend and fun host allowing passengers to help raise sails and take the helm or just sit back and enjoy a beautiful sail. The crew of young ladies were welcoming, friendly, attentive and amazing at hoisting and trimming sails. A truly wonderful family experience.

Enchanting Morning on Daufuskie Island
Our guide, Pippi, was a delight!! She gave us an overview of Daufuskie Island, the Gullah people’s origins and compelling history. Her broad knowledge of history, geography and ecology, and her passion on these subjects made a compelling story come to life. I didn’t really notice the 90+ temps!! It’s a real plus that she is an excellent boat captain!!

Quick day trip
A fun way to not get back in the car and drive. I recommend skipping the trolley tour if you are able to walk around easily. We used the trolley once to get to a Forsyth park and we walked the rest of the way. Look up the trolley maps and stops see what you want to get to before hand :) This tour allowed my family a chance to see enough of Savannah to decide if we would would like to travel to that area in the future.

Best Ever in Beaufort
This tour of Beaufort, with Laura as the guide, is packed with history starting with the very first settlors. Laura not only takes you through Beaufort’s part in several wars, but concurrently talks about the Beaufort crops, the economy and probably most important the enslaved community especially the Gullah people. She also highlights in great detail the heroics of Harriet Tubman, Clara Barton and Robert Smalls. All this while driving to historic homes, churches and burial grounds. Along the way, Laura also describes movies made in Beaufort, famous actors and writers. It doesn’t stop there, we also learned about architecture, trees and plants! This tour with Laura is impactful every single minute. Thank you, Laura!
