The Vagabond Cruise reservation office is located just behind the Harbour Town Lighthouse. If you have your mobile ticket you are able to go directly to the boat (Tammy Jane) 30-minutes before departure to board which is located on the pier in front of the Lighthouse.

Make your way to the Harbour Town Yacht Basin, within the Sea Pines Resort, where your expedition departs. After receiving your day pass, allowing you full access to the resort, touch base at the cruise office and get ready to board your vessel.
Once on the water, meet your fishing crew and start exploring the salt marshes. Start to get familiar with the local culture while catching shrimp and fish.
As your cruise progresses, enjoy stunning views of the landscape and gain insight into the commercial shrimping and fishing industry of the low country. Dive into the web of ecosystems that interconnect to provide the delicious seafood from this area. And, if luck is on your side, you might be able to take some of the fresh catch home with you.

Our shrimp trolling excursion aboard the Tammy Jane was absolutely unforgettable! The crew was phenomenal, so friendly, knowledgeable, and genuinely passionate about what they do. They went above and beyond to make our kids (ages 4, 8, and 13) feel welcome and involved, letting them help with small tasks and treating them like part of the crew. It was such a unique, hands-on experience that kept all three kids engaged and excited the entire time, a rare win for such a wide age range!
We learned so much about shrimping and local marine life, and seeing our kids light up with curiosity and wonder made the whole trip even more special. The boat was comfortable, the atmosphere was fun and relaxed, and the entire crew made sure every guest, especially the little ones had an amazing time. My wife even enjoyed feeding some of the catch (right out of her hand) to the hungry seagull friends following along!
If you’re in Hilton Head and looking for a memorable, family-friendly adventure, don’t miss this. We can’t recommend the Tammy Jane and her fantastic crew enough! Way to go, Renee, Sammy, and Ryan the summer intern!

Informational, fun, local waters tour. Perfect for a family activity. We felt safe and comfortable on the waters outside of Harbourtown. Overcast skies turned sunny with a chill in the air. A really nice activity for our family.

A fun excursion for the family on actual working shrimp trawler. Crew were very friendly and informative. Kids got extra attention and were able to sort through many shells and shark teeth crew had. The actual catch was small but included shrimp, flounder, crab and even a puffer fish. Added bonus was taking shrimp home - not often you can claim your own boat to table experience!

Average experience. Couldn’t really see where they brought up the shrimp etc. Small area for everyone to gather around to see the shrimp. Nobody got to take home the shrimp. Didn’t catch many but 🤷🏼♀️. We did see lots of dolphins.

It was a great experience to see how shrimp are caught and degraded and veined.
Guide through very knowledgeable, informative, to enhance the experience I would suggest giving the attendee some waiters to put on. It would just be a fun thing to do.

Lots of fun and very informational. We saw dolphin and shark on our trip. We had an interesting catch which contained squid, jellyfish, shrimp, and a number of different fish. The crew were great and really engaging.

It is a marine filled 2 hours. Knowledgeable and friendly crew- saw so much marine life- porpoises, dolphins, blacktop and sandbar sharks, and multiple fish species! And Shrimp!!!! Loved it and perfect for all ages!!!

It is a great trip for visitors to see the natural beauty and marine life at Hilton Head Island. We experienced a lot of interesting fish, jelly fish, squid and all sizes of shrimp from the boat's net. We were able to take home some of the fresh shrimp for our dinner.
