We had a great experience on our Friday morning (10am) kayak tour! Our guide, Madison, was very knowledgeable and ensured everyone on the trip could hear and see her. The roundtrip was leisurely and our two novice teenagers really enjoyed the single kayaks. We spotted a manatee swimming alongside our group! The boat staff were friendly and efficient getting us in and out of the water quickly for more time to float. Highly recommend booking this 2 hour tour!

Go early when it’s not blazing hot and at low tide to see a lot of creatures feeding - including dolphins! We got lucky and saw some manatees as well - our tour guide Anna Gray was very knowledgable about the bird species and kept our family group aged 10-55 engaged !Great family expedition.

It’s a lot of work. Our guide took off and it was a constant struggle to keep up. One of our group bottomed out and got stuck. Our guide never came and offered to help. He basically sat there and laughed

Great kayaking trip around Shelter Cove with William. He was very knowledgeable of the area and made sure to keep the group together. Headed out just after low tide which made it a bit harder to get around, so I recommend picking a time where the tide is higher!

We booked this very last minute and it was a great time! We had a little private tour since it was just us 3 and Pat. Pat was the best tour guide! He gave us lots of kayaking tips I had never known before. Lots of information about the wildlife and history of the area as well. Beautiful adventure. Would do again if we’re back in Hilton Head!

It was a fun birthday activity but the winds made the water a little choppy. It was fine in the calm still water areas but when it started getting too choppy we had to turn around and go back the way we came, which was very taxing on the body lol BUT it was fun and we made it back safely. And we saw TWO dolphins.

Go during low tide, that’s when the dolphins are out. We only saw one during the high tide. The tour guide was definitely new and in training and did fine, they just need more experience.

Mira was a lovely guide with much information. Be sure to stay near her when stopping so you can hear her. Absolutely beautiful out in the water!

A great family adventure. Learned a lot about the saltwater marshes and tidal effect. Hodge, our guide, was a hoot and very engaging. He and our guide in training, Trent, were very knowledgeable and made it a fun, memorable adventure.

Fun two-hour kayaking trip in a beautiful setting. We saw dolphins and manatees and learn about the ecosystem of the area. Joe K was a great guide and Megan and Amy were great too. Joe sent us pictures after our trip. Would recommend!

Wayne was a great guide- very knowledgeable about both kayaking and the area, wildlife and nature. You received an education in the wildlife in the HHI waters and got to see glimpses of mantitees, herons, and even a dolphin.

What an incredible experience! Our guide Tom was very knowledgeable and kind. He made us all feel like experienced kayakers. His knowledge or the local ecosystem was impressive and you can tell he very much enjoyed his job. I truly suggest this activity however I strongly suggest going in the early morning vs later in the day when it could get very hot and uncomfortable. Seeing Dolphins in their natural habitat was a major bonus.

Our guide-Paddy-was outstanding! Patient, friendly,funny and knowledgeable!! We 3 sisters had basically no experience and his kind words, encouragement and enthusiasm made it the most wonderful experience. It was a win win day, a 10 out of 10. Thank you Paddy!

This kayak trip was a favorite! We had a perfect day weather-wise which is always nice. But the main feature, our guide Helen, was fantastic! She was an easy-going instructor and a wealth of information. The route she took us on and the information she shared were both great! So glad we did this, it was so much fun and a true highlight of our trip! 👍🏻👍🏻

Despite being a bit cold and windy, this tour was both fun and educational. Shannon our guide helped us navigate the salt water marshes with confidence. The kayaks and equipment were nice and in good working order. We all had a great time. Highly recommend it.

Completely worth it! The ease of booking. There was high winds the day we scheduled and I contacted Outside. Shannon was friendly and super helpful. We rescheduled with ease for the next day.
When we arrived it was easy to locate. Super friendly when we checked in. I am a larger person and when I asked questions about life jackets and boat weight they treated me with smiles and respect. No concerns at all. Laura was our tour guide and she was terrific. Same casual approach to my concerns about getting in the kayak. She was informative, chill and yet safe.
We highly recommend Shelter Cove Marina and Outside.

I had such an incredible experience on this kayaking tour, and it was all thanks to our amazing guide, Shannon! She was knowledgeable, patient, and made my husband and I feel comfortable from the very beginning. Her passion for what she does really showed, and she went above and beyond to make sure we were safe while still having an unforgettable time.
She pointed out so many cool sights along the way and shared interesting facts that made the tour even more enjoyable. On top of that, her positive energy and encouragement made the whole experience feel fun and relaxed
I would highly recommend this tour to anyone, especially with her as your guide. She truly made the day special!

Guide ("Paddy") didn't consider all kayakers when speaking. He didn't wait for those in the back to catch up. Didn't always talk loud enough. There were 10 kayakers so he should have been more thoughtful! Made a couple of snide (unnecessary) remarks about how to hold my car. I knew how to hold the oar! He even pulled another (male) kayaking into his rude comments.
