The tram ride is a MUST while in Palm Springs

The tram ride is thrilling. It is a tremendous relief from the heat down below... a good 20-30 degrees lower at the top. The wilderness that stretches out from the Mt Top Station is gorgeous and there are two hikes offered for those not heading out into the wilderness. The food is moderately good, just cafeteria food. Avoid the lines by going to the viewing platforms while the line dies down immediately following the arrival of a tram. The viewing platforms are well worth a visit and the views are exquisite. Be warned, if you use Viator to purchase a ticket for the tram, you are going through a "third party" and all you get is a voucher that has to be traded in for a ticket with a time for your tram ride. It will be when there is room on a tram... which means you could easily wait 90 minutes... we did. There are some tables and chairs in the shade among trees where you can sit to wait. I wish I had understood better what the voucher represented and that we would have to wait in line for 15 minutes to get a ticket then wait 90 minutes for available space on a tram. Still, it was worth it and I'd do it again.

Paul our driver was great! He took us to 4 different wineries. Each was different in its own way. We had lunch at the second winery and all ate lunch together while our host explained the proper way to drink/smell/taste a glass of wine. It was so much fun! We had a great trolly ride and would definitely do it again!

Had a whale of a time!

Excellent tour from start to finish. The boat is new and very clean and comfortable. The crew is extremely friendly and helpful and the Captain excellent at maneuvering to give you the best chance of spotting wildlife. The guide was very informative and educational. We saw several whales (including a mama and her calf, and a humpback whale breaching!) and sea lions and dolphins. Even if we hadn’t seen any whales, it would have still been an enjoyable experience out on the water. My only caution is don’t be a dummy like we were and forget your sunscreen!

Great experience! Best birthday gift! Seeing the beautiful sunrise and views. Our pilot was Mateo and he was awesome! The ride was not scary at all in fact it was smooth and safe. Worth doing this activity if you are considering. My partner was afraid of heights but once we started going up the fear went away. Again great experience!

One of the best tours I have ever done. The guide (I think Brendan) was hilarious. The best thing about it is also what I'd warn people of: you will see A LOT. There are several stops, including some more than an hour. By the time you will A. feel like you get SanFran, and B. be exhausted. But that's how I like to travel, so you do you! Overall, it was amazing.

Lots of waves!

Bring towels and dry clothes to store in lockers. You will get wet! Brody and Luka were great today! It was a rough day but they were informative and so helpful. I was impressed that Brody got out of his kayak with fins so that he could help those who wanted to enter the cave could as it was very rough. Also they were amazingly helpful getting us all into shore though I think all of us capsized! Still a fun experience!

Great zoo experience. My advice if you want to se the giant pandas is to get there as soon as it opens and “bee tail” it straight over because if you don’t, you’ll wait in a 1-2 hour line to see them. The parking lot fills up fast too. Other than that, we had an excellent experience.

Marcus and Dave were great! I highly recommend buying the 8-pack of fish food - the fish KNOW it's there and you'll see SO MANY more fish if you participate! Marcus gave us a lot of interesting information about the local sea life and was very friendly - he offered to take photos of us in the sub, which was really nice, and we now have pics of us with a window full of fish behind us - so cool! This is a must-do when visiting Catalina, whether you're on a date, with kids, or with a group of friends/coworkers.

I had gone Tandem Kayaking with my girlfriend during Mid–December during the 10:30 time slot and had a great time! Given the bad weather, we had got lucky and ended up getting a private tour with our tour guide, Alex. He was great guide and taught us a lot about the history of the area from the buildings off the coast to the sea creatures that we could spot. He had good sense of humor and made our time kayaking a blast. Recommend going kayaking!
