We had an incredible experience on our hot air balloon ride with Rusty! He was not only a skilled pilot but also very informative, sharing interesting facts and history about the area. The views were absolutely breathtaking. We ended the ride with a lovely champagne toast, which made the experience even more memorable. The ride is peaceful and the employees are astute and understanding! We stayed at the Pechanga casino. In doing so I stayed up and gambled all night. Yes the pechanga is less than 20 minutes away from the bolero winery. However mind you I woke up 5 minutes after the balloon was scheduled to depart and they still waited for me. They are the reason I made the ride! Had they not taken the time or the extra mile to call me I would have missed the flight. Also my balloon pilot was quite knowledgeable on every aspect of the hot air balloon. Whether it was testing his 37 years of piloting experience or even the history of “The Hot Air Balloon.” Also one pilot to another, “flying a hot air balloon doesn’t make you a pilot! Finding freedom in the wind/ air is when you know you are a pilot!

I understand that this may be cancel for safety reasons & weather conditions but to inform you on the spot or like waited till 6 to inform you is unreasonable. I live in LA, my friend and I drove to Temecula at 3am just to be there on time. Waited and got cancelled. There is a weather forecast for 2 weeks how is it not possible to just inform the client atleast a night before like to advice that there might be a chance of cancellation for this package because of the weather, so atleast the customer can decide to go or not. With all the prices increasing now especially the gas?! For the gas alone we spent $70 for nothing plus other expenses there like for food.. which could have been avoided if there was an advice prior to the date.

We completely understand how disappointing and frustrating this experience was, especially after making the early drive from Los Angeles. It’s disappointing to us as well, as we truly wanted the opportunity to fly with you and provide the experience you were looking forward to.
While weather forecasts can provide general guidance days in advance, hot air ballooning is extremely dependent on real-time conditions such as wind speed and direction at multiple altitudes. Unfortunately, those conditions can change significantly overnight or even within minutes before launch. Because safety is our absolute top priority, final flight decisions sometimes cannot always be made until the morning of the flight after pilots complete updated weather evaluations and on-site assessments.
We do try to provide guests with as much notice as possible whenever conditions appear questionable. Preliminary weather reviews are typically done the afternoon prior, but there are times where the forecast still supports a possible flight until closer to launch time. We understand that this can be inconvenient, especially for guests traveling from out of town, and we sincerely apologize for the disappointment this caused.
We truly appreciate your understanding that safety must always come first, even when the outcome is frustrating for everyone involved.

We had a great time for my girlfriend’s birthday. We arrived early, checked in, and got assigned to Pete as he was on the birthday balloon. It was fun and we floated around Temecula but remember that you can only go where the wind allows. I wouldn’t go again because I’m not a big fan f heights but my girlfriend is already planning another ride. I also got the Bundt cake for her and it was delicious

Very smooth and professional ride. The direction are wonky. Search out the Bolero tasting room through the main metal gate not the Europa village which is a large parking lot and then you have to weave your way through the large building to the other side of the building if you enter through the village parking lot. The champagne at the end is lovely.

This was a great experience from start to finish. The balloon basket holds 16 people, but it’s divided into four sections and it’s very comfortable.
The flight over Temecula wine country is lovely and the balloon doesn’t go much over 1000 feet so the views are picturesque.
Our guide was Bill. He is a licensed pilot and we had a great conversation as the friend I was traveling with is also a pilot. They both share the love of the skies and having feet off of the ground.
Bill was knowledgeable, funny, and an excellent pilot. It was a very smooth ride, and I am told that Temecula is a great place for ballooning because the odds of them going up daily are high.
I have signed up for three separate ballooning events in northern California and the winds have always been too high to go out. It was such a pleasure to have the opportunity to mark this off my bucket list. Temecula did not disappoint.
This particular tour begins at the Europa villages and that’s a beautiful spot to begin a morning, and to have a champagne toast
Overall, we were in the air about 47 minutes and that was plenty of time to enjoy the morning and the sunrise. The remaining time is in the preparation which we were able to watch. And once the balloon lands in a nearby field, watching them pack up the balloon so that we can all load up in our shuttle to return to our parking lot is an interesting and educating moment.
I do recommend this particular tour. It was well run and professional. I felt safe at all times and was able to relax and enjoy the feeling of floating in the air.
Riding in an hot air balloon should be a bucket list item, even for those who are hesitant to float through the skies.

Our balloon flight was only about 40 minutes long. We had a gentleman scream obscenities at us for flying too low over his house and waking him up. Seems like a known problem yet they still fly over his house. They landed and then they couldn’t get the transport to us so they wanted people to crawl back in the basket and ride on the back of the truck through the dirt field. That can’t be safe. Idk, I would save your money, while fun, it was only about half the time promised. Everyone else’s balloon got to go much further and see more. Our was cut way to short. We should be getting half price refund since we only got half of the activity,

Our pilots choose landing sites based on real-time conditions to ensure a safe and controlled descent, which sometimes can result in shorter flight times than others in the area.
We do sincerely regret that a nearby resident expressed frustration during your flight — unfortunately, despite our ongoing efforts to avoid sensitive areas, weather and wind can occasionally require us to pass near certain neighborhoods.
Regarding the retrieval process, we completely understand your concern. Occasionally, depending on where the balloon lands, the chase crew must adapt to terrain conditions to recover passengers safely and efficiently. While it may look unconventional, passenger safety remains our highest priority and no one is ever transported in a manner deemed unsafe by the pilot or crew.
