Our Road to Hana tour was absolutely amazing! Even though it was a long day, it flew by because there was so much to see. Every stop was more beautiful than the last- the black sand beach was a definite highlight for us. Heavenly, our guide, made the trip extra special. She is incredibly knowledgeable and has such a genuine love for Maui that it made us appreciate the island even more. Her passion was contagious as she shared so much history, culture, and local insight throughout the day. This tour was worth every minute and every penny. If you’re visiting Maui, the Road to Hana is an absolute must-do, and if you’re lucky enough to have Heavenly as your guide, you’re in for an unforgettable experience!

Very informative tour guide. Sam Jackson was such a great story teller. The tour on the Arizona and Missouri was an amazing experience. The USS Arizona tour was excellent and very informative. The guides on the Arizona memorial were amazing and very informative integrating the history of how WW2 started for the United States and on the Missouri, how it ended. The tour guide on the Missouri was exceptionally informative as he told us where exactly the surrender of Japan was signed to end WW2. A must tour for all WW2 enthusiasts.

Amazing Experience

We had a blast. There are four different pickup routes, and they text you the day before to confirm your pickup location and time. Actual transportation took less than an hour due to some traffic, but the bus was large enough and had a working restroom. (My only gripe with the bus is that it was dirty, had plenty of dust on the AC units, and the cup holders and backrests were obviously not cleaned at all). Once you get to the luau, they show you your assigned seats, and you get to partake in a bunch of activities before the main show begins - including getting a flower lei bracelet, a headband, some professional pictures taken, drinks at the bar, and even a temporary tattoo station. There are A LOT of people but the lines go by fast. When it came to the dinner, the lines move fast as well. The food is absolutely delicious. There are some vendors and even a shaved ice vendor on the side as well to purchase souvenirs. The main show was breathtaking. You can tell they put in a lot of time, effort, and thought into each performance. Even the in-between shows such as inviting kids and couples, and even a merch contest were entertaining. Of course they put the extraordinary fire performances at the end! Overall, I highly recommend this experience. Just be ready to spend a few hours on the west side of the island, away from "ABC-land" as our bus guide calls it, and you'll have an amazing time!

This was one of the best experiences Ive ever had. I would absolutely do it 1000 more times and recommend to anyone. My only advice is to bring your own mask because the ones provided seem to have ocean water leak through. However, if you use theirs, it is still manageable! This was just unreal and so cool!

The Closest I’ve Ever Been to Wildlife! Peaceful, Surreal, and Completely Worth It.

This was such an incredible experience and one of the highlights of our trip! The manta rays are attracted by plankton, so the crew uses lights to concentrate the plankton near the surface while you float holding onto a large light board. The mantas gracefully swim beneath you to feed, and at times they come so close that they gently brush against you. Since everyone remains in the same position throughout the experience, there’s really nothing you can do except enjoy the moment. It was absolutely mesmerizing. The experience starts by checking in at their storefront, which has a great selection of souvenirs at very reasonable prices. I picked up several items that I really liked. The only thing I wasn’t a fan of was the body bar soap. After checking in, you’ll be fitted with your snorkel gear and a wetsuit top, which does a great job of keeping you warm. From there, it’s about a five-minute drive to the dock where you’ll board the boat. Although you’re out on the water at night, I never felt unbearably cold. The wetsuit top helps a lot, and I definitely recommend bringing your own towel for afterward. Between the water, the wind, and the boat ride, it can feel a little chilly once you get out. The time in the water is kept to about 30 minutes, with the crew beginning to bring everyone back onto the boat around the 25-minute mark. One small heads-up: the boarding ladder extends fairly deep into the water, so be careful climbing back aboard. Both my partner and I accidentally bumped our shins on it. The crew was friendly, knowledgeable, and happy to answer questions while sharing interesting facts about the manta rays. It could be a little difficult to hear everything while floating face-down watching the mantas, but they were clearly passionate about what they do. We didn’t purchase the manta guarantee because we booked our tour only a day in advance and were flying home two days later, so our schedule was pretty tight. Thankfully, we saw four manta rays, which made the experience even more special. Overall, this was a wonderful experience with a kind, professional crew. If you’re visiting the Big Island, I would absolutely recommend adding this to your itinerary.

Truly once in a lifetime snorkel experience!

Absolutely fantastic experience with the Hang Loose team! I was a little nervous since my wife and two kids (9 & 12) had very little snorkel experience, let alone in “open water” at night, but they had a blast! Amazing to see the Mantas feeding and gliding literally past your face!

Napoli coast fun

Great tour with an experienced crew. Mike was our captain and did a great job explaining the history and everything we were seeing. He put the boat in the best position to see everything. The boat was nice and comfortable. Plenty of space to take a bag with your essentials. If you are prone to motion sickness take meds before you board so you don’t ruin your trip. Beautiful scenery and the snorkeling was fun too.

A dignified and informative tour and Jay the tour guy was so brilliant! So much more information than we imagined and his knowledge and conversation to us as tourists was greatly appreciated. I would recommend booking in advance as the tour slots are limited to see an amazing piece of American history and honour those in their last seabed resting place.
