Amazing cemetery and history tour of New Orleans cemeteries
Amazing tour guide David and Captain Carl took us on an amazing and spooky tour of the dead in Nee Orleans. We learned about the history of VooDoo and Santeria religions. We saw the amazing Odd Fellows Rest and Charity Hospital Cemeteries and history that spanned the origins of New Orleans up to Hurricane Katrina. Amazing tour. Highly recommend.

A great way to spend half a day.
This tour was well worth it. Derek was our driver for the 45-minute ride to the boat and provided lots of anecdotes on the way as well as recommendations for places to eat. Scott was our boat captain and showed us alligators, herons, egrets, snakes and the most adorable clan of raccoons, as well as information about the ever changing river/bayou environment.

Creole Queen excursion
You have to check in at the kiosk in front of the Creole Queen paddle boat even if you have the barcode on your phone. You must have paper tickets to get on the paddle boat. They take a nice photo and are not pushy at selling these at the end. They have seats outside and inside. The meal was average but probably not worth the money. You can purchase drinks inside and ice water is free. Charles the commentator was amazing he was spot on with his history since he has family and resides there. We really enjoyed his comments and humor. The battlefield park area goes by quick so maybe leave before the end of his speaking if you want to see the inside museum. It would have been nice to have more time here. The battle of New Orleans was fought where they drop you off.

Great Swamp Tour, plenty Alligators
We had a Great time with Captain Daren, very informative about the land & wildlife, the boat ride was smooth and we saw many gators, turtles and even a bald eagle in the nest. There was white egrets and great blue heron birds. Marsh & various species of trees. In general we had a wonderful time, the boat is covered so you are protected from any rain or sun exposure. Pick a morning time for a bit cooler experience, South LA is beautiful and the swamp tour gives you a glimpse into a Cajun’s fisherman’s environment and you’ll see some alligators on the tour.
