Absolute Must Do in Budapest

George and Chris were wonderful hosts. They asked about dietary restrictions early, met at the market and began to take us through the history of Hungarian food. They only stopped at local businesses. The highlight was a glass of the homemade pàlinka which is traditionally made at home. I cannot recommend this tour enough.

Great way to spend an evening

Nice evening cruise with some alcoholic drinks. Spritz cocktails have small amounts of alcohol by the taste, prosecco and beer may be true to the bottle they came out of. Don't expect to be drunk after the cruise but a nice selection of drinks and th cruise was rally enjoyable. Would definitely recommend.

Fun walking food tour

This was a great food tour where we got to try a number of local foods, including goulash, Làngos (a savory donut type street food!), and of course local sausage! Anna is a great guide, full of energy and knowledge! We fully enjoyed the tour and had a great time in the city center of Budapest! (Pest side).

Tour guide is a star of the show. She is pleasant, attentive, experienced- constantly checking on each of us with stories to tell and stories to listen to. All three venues gave us the best experience: atmosphere, authenticity, warmth and hospitality were everything we were looking for. Group was small - 12 people. We made friends along the way. We had such a great time...

We had such a great time on this boat cruise. Given a glass of prosecco upon boarding was a plus. We saw all the amazing sights on the bank of the Danube from the river itself - it was so peaceful, and the gorgeous lit up buildings like the Parliament and Buda Castle were highlights. Once we saw those main highlights we went inside the historic seeming ship to get some wine, and while we sat down we were serenaded by string musicians. Then a pair dressed in classic Hungarian garb danced for everyone. It was so lively, and everyone was having a great time, and it definitely made our first night in the city special.

Amazing experience!

We absolutely loved this tour, and our guide, Zoltan! Zoltan's inside knowledge and local perspective ensured we experienced Budapest's food scene as locals. We tried dishes we would have been reluctant to try on our own, and visited some off-the-beaten path places that we would have never found on our own. Amazing private luxurious tour. Worth every forint.

This tour might seem expensive but it is worth every penny. We were met in our hotel reception by our driver/guide Arkos who was extremely friendly and guided us to our beautiful BMW 7 Series vehicle with complimentary water which was very welcome. Absolutely luxurious vehicle and very clean and comfortable. We advised that on previous days we had already been to a number of places listed on the itinerary and he explained that as this was a private tour we could decide where we wanted to go. We wanted to spend the most time on Buda side as we love history. Fortunately Arkos has a degree in history and his knowledge and enthusiasm in sharing this knowledge was outstanding and made the tour so much more interesting. He was genuinely happy to be showing us around and he so loved his job. An absolute gentleman and scholar. He took us to places that you would never find on your own. A reflection of his local knowledge having been born and bred in Budapest. We ended our tour on the Pest side of the city which gave us ideas as to where to visit the next day. The four hour duration went very quickly and we wished that we had booked for longer. Great that we could pick our own itinerary and how much time we spent in each location. Thoroughly recommend this company and especially Arkos as your guide / driver.
