What are people saying about Budapest

Amazing experience!
We absolutely loved this tour, and our guide, Zoltan! Zoltan's inside knowledge and local perspective ensured we experienced Budapest's food scene as locals. We tried dishes we would have been reluctant to try on our own, and visited some off-the-beaten path places that we would have never found on our own. We highly recommend this tour, and Zoltan, to other visitors to Budapest!

Authentic, tasty, vegetarian-friendly, cheerfully led food tour amongst beautiful architecture
The food and drink were great and local. I found one dish bland, but appreciated having the authentic version. I was well accommodated as a vegetarian. Our guide, Kelly, was friendly and knowledgeable. She is both Hungarian and American, speaking fluently in both English and Hungarian. My only complaint is that with twenty people, this was hardly a small group, but it was still a very good time. I am six foot and eat a fair amount. I was not stuffed as I sometimes am at the end of a food tour, but had had plenty to eat. My spouse, Who eats less, had to be careful not to overdo it.

Great way to spend a few hours in Budapest
We have done many food tours in many cities and this was a very good tour. George gets very high marks for his organization. He took care of every little detail including having wipes, cups, and toothpicks available. I also liked that he took us to places outside the central market. His narrative along the tour was also informative and he was very personable. He really took care of us noting that we had plowed through the Lagos and got our group a other portion to share!

Tuk Tuk tour
Enjoyable, personal and uncomplicated way to see the sites of Budapest. Driver Robert was personable and agreed to take us to other sites that we had not seen the day before. Helped us by taking photos. And the beauty is the Tuk Tuk could park close to tourist venue entrances.

Fun locations.
This tour was very interesting. The ruin bars were so cool to see. The guide shared some stories about each location. Would have liked for her to have introduced us to some local favorite drinks. She gave us one shot of the fruit liqueur but then offered us a beer or wine. Could have had those anywhere.

Friendly& educational! Terrific all around!
We were fortunate enough to have Gabriella for our guide on the 4-Hour Budapest City tour. She was very well versed in the history of the city and the country. We learned many interesting facts along the way. She was very accommodating in our needs, & was an excellent driver. We would highly recommend Gabriella.

Greg was very...
Greg was very knowledgeable and gave us a great tour of Budapest. He took us to all of the main sights, explained the history, and answered everyone's questions. The tour was a mix of walking and riding the tram/busses, and included a nice break for strudel and coffee. I would highly recommend this trip for anyone looking for a good overview of the city.

Great relaxing tour
Our tour with Lucy was exceptionally fun and informative. She explained a lot of the cultural aspects of some of the foods like using your hands instead of utensils and such. She explained some of the ways the foods were made that made them different from others and didn’t rush, it was such a relaxed pace. The biggest part was the food portions were plentiful but not over doing it either, we left feeling plenty full. A very good tour!

Explore Hungarian wine culture
We toured 3 very different wineries in the countryside. It was about a 40 minute drive but the driver was a local and gave us a good insight into Budapest history. We loved the authenticity of the tour and the wines and the wine makers! Everyone was so kind. The Hungarian dinner was tasty as well. Thank you!

⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ An Unforgettable Budapest Food Tour!
Our Budapest Food Tour was one of the highlights of our trip! From the moment we met our guide, Estee, we knew we were in for something special. She was warm, knowledgeable, engaging, and passionate about sharing the history, culture, and cuisine of Budapest.
We began in the historic Jewish Quarter, where Estee brought the area’s fascinating history to life before introducing us to authentic Hungarian specialties. Every stop was thoughtfully chosen, and each dish had its own story. We sampled a wonderful variety of traditional Hungarian foods, from savory street food and hearty local favorites to a delicious dessert and even a taste of Hungarian pálinka.
If you’re visiting Budapest, this tour is a must! Ask for Estee if you can? she made the experience unforgettable. Highly recommend! 🇭🇺🍽️

Great way to see Buda and Pest from the Danube
Very relaxed evening cruise with free flowing Prosecco, no delaying tactics to limit your access to the Prosecco, full bottles put on your table and replaced as soon as they were empty. Great opportunities to take photos as the buildings were illuminated as the sun set.

Amazing private luxurious tour. Worth every forint.
This tour might seem expensive but it is worth every penny. We were met in our hotel reception by our driver/guide Arkos who was extremely friendly and guided us to our beautiful BMW 7 Series vehicle with complimentary water which was very welcome. Absolutely luxurious vehicle and very clean and comfortable. We advised that on previous days we had already been to a number of places listed on the itinerary and he explained that as this was a private tour we could decide where we wanted to go. We wanted to spend the most time on Buda side as we love history. Fortunately Arkos has a degree in history and his knowledge and enthusiasm in sharing this knowledge was outstanding and made the tour so much more interesting. He was genuinely happy to be showing us around and he so loved his job. An absolute gentleman and scholar. He took us to places that you would never find on your own. A reflection of his local knowledge having been born and bred in Budapest. We ended our tour on the Pest side of the city which gave us ideas as to where to visit the next day. The four hour duration went very quickly and we wished that we had booked for longer. Great that we could pick our own itinerary and how much time we spent in each location. Thoroughly recommend this company and especially Arkos as your guide / driver.
