What are people saying about Budapest

Nice tour
We met our guide George in front of the market, learned about the history of the market, Buda & Pest, and tasted a wide variety of Hungarian foods… pickles, streusel, wines, goulash, chimney cake, lángos. We arrived hungry and left full. I recommend this tour if you’re visiting Budapest. It was fun walking around this vibrant city.

Best way to get to know the city
There were 6 of us in the group, from 3 different countries. Peter was our guide, a native who speaks perfect English. We had a great time not only tasting different Hungarian food that we had never tried before, but even better time bonding, learning a few Hungarian words and some Hungarian history from Peter. We also got to share and exchange stories and travel experiences. Peter was a great host, personable, fun, and so easy to talk to. We enjoyed our time walking through different neighborhoods, from the Jewish quarters to the Opera House and back to the cool area with many bars with arcade games. All the food, wine and beer choices were excellent, for those who didn’t want alcohol, we were offered the best tasting lemonade (with orange and lime and strawberries), so good! We thought we were hungry, and I tried real hard to pace myself and not finish what was offered. But by stop #3, I was completely full. Stop #4 was dessert which I could never resist. It was a lot of good food for one afternoon. Highly recommend this food tour!

Walking Tour with food
Tour guide was excellent.
We had 9 people in our group plus 2 others from another group and she managed everything very well. Making sure the pace of speed was comfortable for everyone for example…
The one thing I suggest explaining with a little more detail is the order of sweet and salty foods… being from another culture, knowing that, would have helped us get there better prepared.

Great Experience in Budapest- Highly Recommended
We a really enjoyed our cooking class with Emma. She is knowledgeable about Hungarian history, culture and food.
We made chicken paprikash from scratch and it was excellent. The recipe was fairly simple so it increases the likelihood we will make this at home.
We had a market tour at the Central Market Hall then a short walk to the apartment for the cooking.
During the class we got great explanations and everyone was able to participate. Emma is very personable and is a good teacher and communicators. The pace was good and we were never rushed.
Overall a great experience that we would highly recommend.

Good food and guide!
Birdie was a wonderful guide and I thought the tour was a good overview of Hungarian cuisine. I would probably give the tour 4.5 stars - the group was larger than advertised (there was a scheduling mixup) and I wish the chimney cakes had been hot. Definitely a great activity to do at the beginning of your trip to Budapest.

Fun way to experience Budapest
Fun way to learn about Budapest while eating traditional Hungarian foods. Our tour lasted a little over 3 hours with stops in the Central Market and various nearby restaurants. Relaxed walking pace. Small group size (8) was a real plus. Nikki, our tour guide, was very pleasant and informative.

Fantastic Experience!!
This was a wonderful choice for our first day in Budapest!! We were promptly picked up at our hotel with a roomy and comfortable van for our group of 12. Peter, our guide, was very welcoming and informative. He taught us a lot about Budapest and its wine culture. The ride was about 35 minutes to the wine district of Etyek where our tour of 3 wineries took place. The wineries are small, family owned and operated. Each one definitely had its own personality and ambiance. All of the wines we tried were pretty good! Who knew Hungary produced wine?! Our final winery was in a private home where our hosts had prepared a delicious traditional Hungarian dinner for us. It was so delicious! You truly felt like you were invited guests and wanted to stay and chat longer but we had to return to the city. You will get more than enough wine tastings on this tour. It’s well worth the cost! Peter was an excellent tour guide!!

What a treat!
We hit the lottery with Csenge as our guide. She’s young and knows the whole Ruin Bar culture! It was just my husband and I and had a great time with her guide. Great info on the area and history. Don’t miss out on the “palinka” drink…beware 40% abv!
Absolutely would recommend Csenge!

We had a private luxury...
We had a private luxury sightseeing tour in Budapest and visited Szentendre, and it ended up being one of the highlights of our trip.
Our guide, Christine Teplan, was fantastic — incredibly knowledgeable, engaging, and made everything feel easy and personalized. You can tell she really knows the history and the area, but she explains it in a way that’s interesting, not overwhelming. I would absolutely recommend her.
Our driver, Laszlo, was also great — very professional and made the whole experience smooth and comfortable.
Szentendre itself was charming and a perfect escape from the city — beautiful streets, relaxed atmosphere, and great places to walk, eat, and explore.
Overall, it was a seamless, well-run experience and I’d absolutely recommend it.

Great Overview of the City
This tour was a fantastic overview of the city. Our guide was wonderful… extremely experienced and knowledgeable and a really nice guy. Highly recommend this tour as a way to learn about the high points of the city and return for a deeper dive when you have time.

The cruise was so nice!!...
The cruise was so nice!! We grabbed a free drink at first and enjoyed live music performance as well. The open deck was a little packed but the scenery was gorgeous.

Budapest food tour with Anna.
Our kind and cheerful guide Anna did an amazing job introducing us to Budapest and some of the local foods. We got a nice portion of several different foods and a pleasant walking tour as well.
She also gave us excellent restaurant and cafe recommendations before we departed.
