We had such a fun...
We had such a fun experience at Chimney Cake School! The instructor was incredibly patient and kind with my 7-year-old, which made the whole class so enjoyable and stress-free. We loved learning how to make the chimney cakes, and they turned out absolutely delicious. Such a memorable activity for families — highly recommend!

Delightful time in Budapest
This cooking class was an absolute highlight of our time in Budapest. Not only was the food authentic and delicious, but the experience went far beyond the kitchen. Our instructor Marti was exceptional—she didn’t just teach recipes, she shared the stories behind them, along with insights into Hungary’s history, from the communist era to today’s evolving political landscape. It felt like cooking, culture, and conversation all blended into one unforgettable evening. We left with full hearts, full stomachs, and a much deeper appreciation for Hungarian life. We would take this class again and again.

True local food all around five star tour
No matter how slow you walk or need a but of help , this foodie cooking tour is for you. I hurt my knee stupidly climbing ladders to out up new ceiling fans right before this trip (I’m 66) . Our guide was wonderful walking slow, waiting for me, and giving me breaks . The market was really neat.
The cooking lesson was fabulous. I cook a lot but even I learned new methods and the anppetizers and final traditional paprika chicken were fantastic. The wine was great and the extra treat of picking out vintage Hungarian cards was magical. Birdie the guide walked me outside and made sure I was in the taxi safely. First class all the way!
You won’t leave disappointed.

Fun class / Great food / Lots of Fun
Had a class today with Ildi. She was great!!! She met us at the Central Market and walked us through and showed us traditional Hungarian foods and products. It was very interesting. She then took us to the kitchen where we would cook and enjoy great conversation. We learned about the upcoming election. She had many things for us to taste. Different sausages, salami, cheeses etc. We loved the tarragon soup we made. We also made an appetizer, chicken paprika and a traditional dessert. We actually had the same dessert on our Viking cruise tonight and the version we made with Ildi was better. Not to mention shots, wine and beer. You won’t leave hungry. Great class. Loads of fun. Ildi is friendly and engaging.

Excellent introduction the Hungarian wines and wine making
Great evening in a lovely venue learning about the history and wine making expertise across Hungary and sampling several excellent wines from various regions. Have enjoyed this experience twice and very likely to repeat for a third time when I next return to visit Budapest.

Andy was an amazing...
Andy was an amazing guide! We got to try so many dishes, and they tasted much more flavorful and authentic than the highly reviewed restaurants that we found ourselves.
The wine stop at the end was perfect, and one variety was especially unique. We also just loved hanging out with Andy, really chill vibes with great food, drinks, and culture. Thanks for the welcoming and informative intro to Budapest!

Excellent teacher, very organized . Expected participation by everyone in the group when explaining and demonstrating strudel making technique . Had lots of practice stretching the dough. Very friendly and class was held in a beautiful home and kitchen. Lovely snacks and we got to take home left over strudel!!
A fun way to spend a morning.

Wonderful progressive 5 course dinner and informative historic walk with an excellent guide .
Tour began with informative wine tastings and hors d’œuvres, then a stroll around historic Pest learning the significance of many buildings with stops for snacks and drinks. Then a delicious meal at a non-touristy restaurant. After another walk we ended at a traditional cafe for typical Hungarian pastries.
