Good food nad great company

Marti was great! She took us on a quick tour of the market then we cabbed to her kitchen for a fabulous cooking class. She is very knowledgeable and a great teacher for all levels of cooking experience. We would defintely take the class again.

Take this tour/cooking class - you won't regret it!

What a wonderful experience my husband and I had for our first "travel" cooking class!! Our guide/chef, Marti, took us on a tour of the Budapest Central Market (so much to see there!) and then we went to Marti's kitchen to prepare our meal: Sour Cherry Soup, Chicken Paprika with Dumplings and Gundel Pancakes. There were 5 of us for our class and Marti was an excellent hostess and got everyone involved in cooking and socializing. We enjoyed tasting palinka, homemade soft drinks and nibbles. I would absolutely recommend Marti's tour/class to anyone going to Budapest. My husband was a little apprehensive about doing a cooking class, but told me afterwards that he had an absolutely wonderful time!

Highlight of our trip

This was the highlight of our trip. We cannot say enough good things about chef Marti. She was so nice, talented, knowledgeable, and a good teacher. We enjoyed getting to know about her and her family. We had a choice of several menus which she sent to us and we chose our 3 courses. She had everything organized and we cooked it all. The food was amazing! Having our dinner with wine at the conclusion was lovely. Highly, highly recommend. A fabulous experience.

Great introduction to Hungarian foods!

Marti was a terrific host! We very much enjoyed the eclectic market she took us through. Her kitchen site was adorably decorated. Her homemade fruit drinks and jams were an extra treat. Her stories growing up in the countryside were extremely interesting. And, of course, the food selections and cooking opportunities were perfect. Definitely recommend!
