Itinerary
Your tour starts with pickup from your West Yellowstone hotel by air-conditioned minivan. Entering Yellowstone National Park, you’ll set out along the Lower Loop, which links many of the park’s most memorable geysers, waterfalls, and other natural wonders.
Make an early-morning stop to spot wildlife along the shores of the Madison River, followed by two of Yellowstone’s most visited attractions—the Grand Prismatic Hot Springs and the Old Faithful geyser. You’ll wait to see the famous geyser in action before continuing along the loop, stopping to take in views of the West Thumb Geyser Basin, go on a wildlife-watching walk through the Hayden Valley, and enjoy lunch in the park (included). Finally, arrive at the Grand Canyon of the Yellowstone River, where you’ll follow your guide on a scenic hike to see the waterfalls and colorful cliffs.
After a full day exploring Yellowstone, you’ll be dropped back at your hotel.

Michelle was an awesome guide! Very knowledgeable about the park. We saw a lot of wildlife, bison, elk, and wolves. Windows on van were very clean which was great for viewing and taking pictures along the way. Would highly recommend this guide!

First time to Yellowstone and did not want up miss a thing. This tour had great reviews and they were correct. Gillian was our tour guide and she was. Fantastic! She was very friendly and knowledgeable about all things Yellowstone. She entertained and shared her insights throughout the trip. Lunch was turkey or ham sandwiches and she piled on the meat. Nothing skimpy about lunch or the entire trip.
I highly recommend this tour group and, if you’re lucky, you will get Gillian as your guide.
Wish we could give 10 stars. This was an excellent tour mainly because of the guide, Conor. We saw so many Awesome sites as well as Wildlife. Conor was so engaging with our group and answered any and All questions. He was knowledgeable and excited to share with us all about the park history. The snacks and lunch provided was an added bonus! Thanks again Conor for a fantastic Day!

11,ooo steps is a lot for 80 year olds. However besides that first walk, everything else was tremendous
Bri was an excellent tour guide. Full of fun facts and great information keeping us engaged the entire time. The lower loop was beautiful.
We had a great day traveling around all of the lower loop must sees with Conor, our tour guide. We only had 1 other person on our tour, so it was like we had a private tour.
He was very knowledgeable on all things Yellowstone, and he answered all of our questions. We were very glad we had such a great experience.
I would also highly recommend requesting Conor as your guide. You will not be disappointed.
Great experience Maddy was very informative and made our day a Yellowstone amazing. She told us of Yellowstone history and took us to unbelievable scenery. We were not rushed..and enjoyed a picnic lunch down by the marina

Tim was a fantastic guide with deep knowledge of history geology ecology and hydrology by of Yellowstone
Jillian was our guide and she was very knowledgable and accomodating through out the tour. She was personable and just added to the great sights we saw that day. You can just sit back and relax in on tour and just take in the beauty and wonders of the area.

To make the most of your time in Yellowstone, we highly recommend the Lower Loop and Upper Loop tours offered by Yellowstone Hiking Guides! We took both tours and enjoyed two unforgettable days exploring the park from the comfort of a small van with large windows.
Our tour guides, Bri for the Lower Loop and Maddie for the Upper Loop, were outstanding! They safely navigated the park, shared fascinating information about Yellowstone's history and tour sites, and always knew exactly where to stop for the best views.
We were mesmerized by Yellowstone's incredible geothermal features, including Grand Prismatic Spring, the spectacular eruptions of Old Faithful and Beehive Geysers, the colorful hot springs at the West Thumb Geyser Basin, and the iconic Mammoth Hot Springs Terraces. We also enjoyed the breathtaking views of the Grand Canyon of the Yellowstone, the historic Continental Divide, and the vast ecosystems of Lamar and Hayden Valleys.
The wildlife viewing was just as amazing. We saw bison, elk, pronghorn, a bald eagle, ravens, and even an osprey with her young in their nest.
We are extremely grateful to Yellowstone Hiking Guides for making this truly the trip of a lifetime!

This was a great tour. Conor was an excellent guide. Very knowledgeable and lots of interesting information. He really made this tour good. Great lunch and snacks and we really saw all the gems of the park without the hassle of driving and parking
We spent the day with Tim from Yellowstone Hiking Guides (YHG) on their Yellowstone Lower Loop Van Tour. It was a very good experience and we were very happy to have signed up for this tour. If we have the chance, we would choose YHG again. Space here is limited. I have a fuller review on Google Maps.

The Yellowstone Lower Loop tour was a fabulous trip. Our tour guide Parker was a top notch guide! He was knowledgeable, polite and enthusiastic about his job. He shared valuable information about the history, animals and plant life in Yellowstone Park. We were picked up at 7am at our vacation rental in a comfortable van. We hit all the major hot spots along the Lower Loop and also some hidden gems. Parker makes delicious homemade sandwiches. We even started a bear jam when one of our other riders spotted a bear. What an exciting day! We will definitely use Viator Tours again!!
This was an excellent tour around Yellowstone and Old Faithful! We hit so many amazing locations and main attractions that you need to see when you come to visit. It had a great mix of a van tour but also we did get a bit of hiking as well so it still felt a little active. Our tour guide Parker was amazing! He taught us so many interesting facts while on the tour and he kept an 8 hour tour engaging the entire time. Highly recommend booking the tour with Parker if you can request him!
This was one of the most enjoyable tours that we have experienced. The tour was very well organized and we were fortunate to have multiple tour guides (as several were in training). The tour included all of the highlights of the lower loop of West Yellowstone. A very rewarding day!
We really enjoyed our guide and she was very friendly, knowledgeable, and helpful. The brown bag lunch was filled with a variety of snacks, sandwich, fruit, and candy!
Totally totally worth the money. Joshua, our guide was so knowledgeable. Since it was the last day of the season we had a private guide to ourselves. His wife packed us the biggest sack last we have ever had. Hubby and I couldn’t eat everything. So accommodating . 5 plus stars. I am sure we would have missed so many points of interest if we had not had the guide. Thanks for the memories?”!

Awesome tour of the lower loop. Spencer was a great guide! I really enjoyed the tour as I was the only guest and was able to learn almost more than I wanted to learn about geysers and Yellowstone! Book this!

Spencer was understated at first….it was raining….but he proved to be a wealth of information and really enjoyable as he shared the park with us
There is some walking but it is doable. For those who have trouble stepping up into a van they provide a plastic stool but it isn't very strong.
Ron is a great driver and shared a lot of good information about Yellowstone, much that I didn't know.
