What a great experience! We had a large group split between two vans led by Nate and Rose. Both guides were excellent- truly experts who engaged everyone in our group (which ranged in age from 9 to 75). We spent the day hearing fascinating tales of Yellowstone’s ecology and geology and loved every second. The guides’ passion for those topics and knowledge to answer our questions made the day unforgettable. We highly recommend this experience and especially Nate and Rose!

Hassle free travel with a tour guide allowed us to focus on wildlife and the beautiful scenery. Our guide Rose was always on the lookout for wildlife and we stopped at everyplace on my wish list and then some. She had the gear and scopes that allowed us to see more than what we could have on our own. It was a great day due to Obsidian Tours taking such good care of us including lunch!

We had the best time! We had 4 of us in our private group. The van was very spacious, was filled with snacks and drinks for us to have all day long. Rose was our tour guide and she was AMAZING! She was extremely knowledgeable about the animals, and the environment we were exploring. She explained everything very well, was very well spoken, and made sure we had the best experience possible. This was an outstanding full day tour of the Upper Loop of Yellowstone. Our tour guide, Rose, was very knowledgeable and personable, which was great since we spent all day together. She provided binoculars and brought her own scope, which ensured we could see all the wildlife up close. Since the tour was just with our family, it allowed for flexible decisions to be made throughout the day during our stops. Lunch, snacks, and drinks are also included. I would highly recommend this tour!

Our entire family was thrilled to have a private tour of Yellowstone National Park. Our guide, Stacie, was amazing. He was very knowledgeable, we learned many things on our tour. We saw wildlife, beautiful waterfalls , Old Faithful and colorful canyons. We had 13 people in our group;; ages 6 to 76! Everyone had a great time! We even stopped for a delightful picnic lunch on Yellowstone Lake. We would highly recommend this tour.

What a wonderful 10 hour private tour. Stacy was very knowledgeable about the entire park. We went all over Yellowstone. We saw bison and more bison, elk and more elk, a grizzly bear, a lone wolf, cliff swallow, ravens, geysers, waterfalls, and of course Old Faithful. The tour included breakfast and lunch. Stacy made sure we stayed hydrated and fed. Most of all he gave us the best educational lessons that anyone would ever expect about the park. We were simply amazed about the quality of this tour. Everyone in our group loved it.

There are average tour guides and then there are the ones you will remember forever, Stace is one we will remember forever. Stace is deeply knowledgeable and was able to explain facts at a level the children could understand and go in depth for the adults as well. He explained the history of the park, geological anomalies, the history of the Native Americans in the area. We covered the lower loop of the park in 11 hours. stopping for short hikes and tours of the historical buildings. Stace was adept to cater the tour for the children, ages 8 and 12, keeping them engaged for the entire day. I would highly recommend Stace, and Obsidian Expeditions. We are looking forward to exploring the rest of the park with him and Obsidian Expeditions.

I can’t say enough what a great tour this was. My fiancée and I were a little concerned about spending 12 hours on a tour but Stace was the absolute best!! He provided a wealth of information about the park and the wildlife. We saw grizzlies elk pronghorn bighorn sheep moose bison sandhill cranes white pelicans. We saw Old Fairhful and many other geysers hot springs and other things. It was incredible and Stace was so accommodating to us. His personality fit us so well and it made the time just fly by! Our tour was good, we enjoyed the day. We traveled with friends who did not do the tour… they chose a self guided tour through an app on phone. As we compared stories after the tour, we realized it was basically the same information and stories. If I had it to do over sgain, I would not pay for the private tour. We would do it on our own.
