- This is a self-guided driving tour. Transportation and a driver are not included, so you’ll need your own vehicle or rental car.
- The tour has five designated starting areas at Yellowstone’s West, North, Northeast, East, and South Entrances. Choose the starting point that best fits your trip in the Shaka Guide app.
- Download the Shaka Guide app after booking and use the redemption code provided in your confirmation to access your tour.
- Download the tour over strong Wi-Fi before entering the park. Cell service is unreliable in Yellowstone. Once downloaded, the Shaka Guide audio and map work offline, and GPS-triggered narration plays automatically as you drive.
- The itinerary is flexible. Stops, viewpoints, and hikes are recommendations, not requirements. Skip stops, stay longer at places that interest you, or explore different sections of the park over multiple days.
- Yellowstone National Park requires a separate entrance pass. Park admission is purchased directly from the National Park Service and is not included with the Shaka Guide tour. Entrance requirements and fees may vary by pass type and traveler eligibility.
- Most Yellowstone roads and entrances are seasonal. Road access can also change due to weather, construction, wildlife activity, or other conditions. Check current National Park Service road status before your visit.
- Wildlife sightings are never guaranteed. Always follow posted park regulations and maintain required distances from wildlife.
- Hiking is optional. Trail length, difficulty, elevation, and conditions vary throughout the park, so choose activities that match your available time and comfort level.
- Accessibility varies by stop. Because this is a self-guided tour using your own vehicle, accessibility depends on your vehicle and the locations you choose to visit. Some boardwalks, trails, viewpoints, and outdoor stops may not be wheelchair or stroller accessible.
- Bring a fully charged phone. A car charger is recommended, especially when exploring the park for a full day or across multiple days.
- This is a private tour/activity. Only your group will participate

This audio tour was awesome! It gives turn by turn directions in the park to all kinds of sites other than just the bigger, well known ones. Lots if info on the geologic formations, history of the park, wildlife, etc. I highly recommend

I plan on visiting Yellowstone on September 21-25. I tried reserving in advance but you booked me for July 28th. I did not use your audio for I do not arrive for almost 2 months

The driving information, stories, history and geology shared by our Shaka "tour guide" was excellent, well-informed, entertaining, and varied. The driving music was relaxing and matched the beautiful scenic drive. We used the self-guided tour for 5 days to reach multiple areas of Yellowstone. Just remember to toggle the switch on the bottom when you stop at a pull off.

Excellent audio tour of Yellowstone! You can start it from any entrance. Make sure to download it before your trip and when you are on WiFi. Easy to use! I plugged my phone into my car and it played through my speakers via Bluetooth. Tells you about what is coming up and gives you history of Yellowstone. Best $20 we spent! Highly recommend!

Self-guided was perfect for us We got a late start so entered the park about 6:00 so we were able to see several sites very easily knowing right where to go. Bonus no traffic

Very informative. The presenter was easy to understand and shared a lot of interesting stories. The cues were very timely and worked equally well regardless of direction of travel.

The code provided did not work. I reached out to customer service and was told they had to get back to me. We intended to use it the next day. The customer service person never responded, and I never got to use it. I was also never offered a refund. It was inexpensive, so I didn't bother to pursue anything. We just got a map when entering the park and did our own thing from the map. It was very disappointing that it didn't work. Don't waste your money.

Fantastic experience for especially someone who has not been to Yellowstone before or for a long time. The price is worth every penny. As we drove through Yellowstone, we were directed to so many worthwhile places to see, traveling the south loop one day & the north loop the next. The app knew exactly where we were as we drove, giving a lot of great information, history, & directions along with a map to follow, using it at your own pace & starting at any of the 4 entrances. And great music was provided in- between the narratives. You could skip suggested stops if you so choose, and stay as long as you wanted at a stop. All you need is a smartphone and if you have CarPlay or Android auto, you can hook it up to your car’s navigation screen using Waze, Google Maps, or another Navigation app (even better). We learned a lot about Yellowstone while driving. I must have taken over 1000 photos of places we probably would not have visited. Before this trip, all we knew a little about was the famous Old Faithful Geyser. We would highly recommend this tour to anyone and if we go to any of the other destinations offered by the Shaka app in the future, we will definitely purchase & use it. Certainly better than a bus tour for us.

I am so glad I decided to purchase this guided tour! Not only was all the information about the park that you learn on the way very informative, but the tips on different side roads to take were the best tips ever. We ended up going on roads we would have passed right up if not for this tour! We only had one day to spend in the park and with this tour we saw so much more than I ever expected

Make sure you download tour before you leave. Once we were in park and realized I had to download more than just the app there was no service. We left park to eat lunch then it came through. And the guided tour was amazing. It took us to places we would have never seen without it. If I go back I would use again.

I downloaded the trip before leaving for the park and received a bar code as my ticket. No instructions on how to activate the “ticket” or start the tour.
