This is the second cooking class we have taken on our current Japan trip and this one is the ONE! We learned so much and had fun at this class. The food was so good. Our friends did the first class with us and not this one and we are so sad they missed this experience. I can not recommend this class enough!

This is the second cooking class we have taken on our current Japan trip and this one is the ONE! We learned so much and had fun at this class. The food was so good. Great fun. Hands on and you eat the fruits of your labor. I’ve taken a lot of cooking classes in my travels and this one gives me dishes I might actually do at home.

This was a wonderful experience for our family with 3 teens. The couple were delightful and great teachers. We learned a lot about different kinds of ramen and the ingredients that go into making a flavorful bowl. We prepared most of the ingredients and then focused on the goyza while the broth cooked. They did a great job instructing us on preparing and shaping the dumplings.
Go hungry and know you won’t need lunch after. We ate everything we made! It was all outstanding. Highly recommend!

Highly recommend this cooking class. Husband and wife team were truly exceptional. You can definitely tell they are passionate about cooking. Gyoza and ramen were delicious. Best of all, we were given the recipes so we can make theses dishes at home.

This was the best part of our time in Tokyo. This is cooking immersion taught us about how to make the food and the history and culture around Ramen (in a way that is repeatable, and I am not a great cook). I highly recommend!

I was just looking for a real kitchen, not inside someone's house who knows how to make Ramen, it gives a more real atmosphere, a real kitchen, with a real chef, the chef's assistant very friendly taking photos at every moment which is a plus that we all like,

Masa and his wife were great hosts. The food was delicious and even as somebody who isn’t culinarily inclined, I was able to follow along step by step to create the gyoza. The ramen was also delicious and a great way to end my time in Tokyo.

Great cooking class ! The gyozas and ramen tasted very good and I am quite confident I will be able to cook gyozas at home by myself. About ramen, not so sure.... :) We only assembled the bowl while the chief executed and explained most of the cooking. There are many steps to follow to cook a shoyu stock from scratch. So it is not simple. But anyway, I have the detailed recipe and I'll give at try. Thanks for this nice moment !

Brilliant authentic cooking class. We loved it. Samsa and Junko are excellent cooks, very friendly, knowledgeable and guide you all the way. Their kitchen is very clean and well organized. The ramen and gyoza we cooked was so delicious. DEFINITELY recommend.

Such a fun experience learning to make gyoza and ramen. Masa and Junko were informative and warm hosts. Highly recommend for families with kids interested in Japanese food (but make sure they are older kids because there is a fair bit of knife work in the prep!)

We had really great experience of cooking the Japanese way! The hosts were super-nice. We've got detailed explanations about the history and the spirit of Japanese cooking. We've learned and implemented all the steps ourselves, with attentive guidance from the hosts throughout the process. Finally, we've tasted our creation and it was really delicious!

A delightfully intimate setting with two amazing hosts. It was like being welcomed into their home kitchen! Masa & Junko run an incredibly organised event, which is well pitched for complete beginners but were also able to answer questions from the more experienced cooks in the group with their very impressive English. Masa led the class with introductory history to the food & Japanese cuisine in general. His demonstrations & instructions were very clear. Meanwhile Junko took lots of photos and videos on our behalf. Every participant gets plenty of food - around 8 gyoza and a full bowl of chicken ramen. Delicious! 👍

The class we took was simply fantastic! You get to learn all of the steps for making gyoza and Shoyu ramen, with detailed instructions and tons of fun to be had. And, you get to enjoy your hard work, leaving full and very happy. The gyoza were delicious, and the ramen was the best shoyu we’ve ever had. You also get digital copies of the recipes with detailed instructions at the end. The hosts were incredibly welcoming, knowledgeable, and funny! 10/10 would recommend

I booked this cooking class in Tokyo with my family, and everyone loved it. Even though we've made our own Chinese dumplings at home, this experience was still educational and entertaining. The hosts were both so welcoming and funny, and the food was delicious. I highly recommend coming for any occasion when you're in the area!

We were given some backstory the good that we were going to cook which was very interesting and informative. Instructions were clear and any questions were answered clearly and with humour. End result was amazingly edible. A very enjoyable way to learn about how to cook some Japanese dishes. Highly

This was an amazing experience! Masa and Junko were fabulous. The class was very thorough, with some history behind the dishes, as well as amazing instruction. It was hard to believe that we’d made the gyoza - they turned out so perfectly! I’d unconditionally recommend this to anyone interested in ramen or gyoza! Masa is a wonderful instructor who speaks excellent English, so don’t worry about a language barrier. It was a highlight of our time in Tokyo!
