What are people saying about Tokyo

Highly recommend
Wonderful experience. Tour guide spoke excellent English. I am not sure how you could explore the fish market without a guide. There were so many stalls and crowds, it would have been overwhelming. The guide led our group to a good variety of stalls and explained the best items to get at each one. Come hungry! I spent about 7000 yen at the booths, many of which are cash only. The quick visit to the temple before the market was an added bonus for this tour. Beautiful temple and I enjoyed the information shared by our guide and her explanation of the rituals. Also I appreciated that she gave everyone an opportunity to do the rituals but also repeatedly said they were optional, so there was no pressure if it wasn't your thing. Highly recommend.

Ask for Kenny!
Kenny was amazing. She was super knowledgeable and warm and funny and knew all the right spots to go to and avoid the long lines of crowds. She had an incredible knowledge of history and culture, and honestly just made our day! Ask for Kenny when you book this tour. Fabulous

Shinjuku Food Tour
We met on one side of Shinjuku and walked over from side to the other side. Be ready to walk. Lloyd, who was our guide, did a good job giving this tour. At each stop gave a little history and briefing and we all got to try a variety of food from Shinjuku. We tried food from a Izakaya, pork cutlets from a historical restaurant , food from Okinawa cuisine and dessert. Overall four good choices.

Toshi tailors the tours to taste
Toshi is a very attentive tour guide. He communicates thoroughly before you start the tour, with exactly where to meet and what time to be there. He adheres to the Japanese Custom of arriving five minutes early. While meeting up with him, he made sure to confirm our dietary restrictions and also gauge our comfort level with certain foods before purchasing them or suggesting them. He also takes advantage of making small talk to ensure that the time is spent with engaging conversation and a bit of humor. One thing that we enjoyed was the pace. We did not feel rushed, and I got the impression that if we wanted to extend the tour, he would not proactively cut it short. One of the favorite things that we enjoyed was the quality of the picture he took of us. He really put effort into making sure that he not only captured you but the energy of the food market. When the Tour was ending, he would remember certain things that he offered to do, for example going with us to the subway station to buy tickets. Those things go a long way with me, especially coming from Los Angeles. The other thing that we liked was he made it clear that he did not want a tip or expect one. So we probably disrespected him by giving him a tip, but it was well deserved because we had a very good time.

Although not really...
Although not really necessary, it was nice to have a guide to walk us through the market and tell us which are the best stalls to try. It makes it easy to start with a guide and then keep exploring the market on your own. Our guide Nicolas was eager to share his knowledge and very kind to the group and answered our questions. I recommend this tour!

Fun Food with Ryu
We had the best time with Ryu. He took us to a variety of local food spots. We had dumplings, noodles with tempura, a variety of skewers, and custard filled pastries for dessert. All were delicious and filling. Ryu filled us in on everyday life in Japan. I would recommend this tour it was delicious, entertaining, and educational.

Yummy and fun with Taiga
We had an amazing tour with Taiga! So knowledgeable and fun. He really knows his fish and made the experience unforgettable. One of the best food tours we have done. Come hungry and leave stuffed. We started with full sushi meal and ended with matcha treat with plenty in between. A true Tokyo experience and highlight of our visit.

Comprehensive and busy Tokyo tour
Mei gave our small group a very comprehensive and educational, but busy half day tour of Tokyo to see the Meiji shrine, the old Fish market, and Asakusa temple. Mei had a notebook with printed material to help educate us about each of these sites in the importance to the Japanese culture. This trip includes considerable walking and several. trips on the metro system, which gave us insight to the daily travels of the locals. It was a very worthwhile tour.

Awesome Tsukiji market tour
The tour was conducted by Nori and couldn’t have been better. He led us through the whole market place, shared information about various japanese foods with us and even showed us how to pray at a shrine. He was very attentive and asked the group what kind of food we’d like to try. He also showed interest in the group and we had some nice conversations. I can totally recommend this tour and want to highlight that Nori was an awesome guide.

Tokyo walking food tour
This is a great fun informative activity. It takes about three hours and I estimate it's about 3km walking in all .
Really good local food and plenty of it. We stopped at 4 eateries and ate around 14 dishes, drinks are also included.
Matheus, our guide, did a great job. It was fun as well as very interesting.

Afternoon in Asakusa with Shun
We spent the afternoon in Asakusa with Shun, visiting the temple, eating local delicacies, and seeing the area. We extended in order to see the cherry blossoms in Shinjuku Park. Amazing. He is such a warm, kind person, interested in sharing the culture of his city and country.
We enjoyed every moment!

Kaori was the consummate...
Kaori was the consummate host and a wealth of knowledge. First, she's a former educator who knows how to interact with and really engage kids. She was thoughtful, kind, and patient. She also was flexible and flagged stores and experiences that she thought our kiddos would enjoy. Second, she shared a lot of tips and insights into Tokyo and Japanese culture. We loved hanging out with her for the afternoon-and our kids rated this adventure as one of their favorites! Thank you Kaori!!!!!
