What are people saying about Tokyo

We loved Nobu our guide
Great way to experience different restaurants and food types you may not be brave enough to try on your own. Our guide Nobu was super enthusiastic and kept the whole group entertained and educated about the Shinjuku area and food offerings. We went with two teenagers and my 14 year old son particularly felt engaged in the tour which is hard to achieve - he ate a lot on this tour. Highly recommended. You won’t be hungry by the end!

Awesome Tokyo Tour
We did a tour with Lisa, it was a lot of fun! It was our first time in Tokyo, Lisa created a custom itinerary for us - we hit major attractions plus incorporated some of our interests like anime and great local food. Lisa was very knowledgeable on places we visited and shared a lot of cultural and local insights. Plus, having a private car taking us places in summer heat was a very nice bonus. Highly recommend the tour!

Great food and sighting with a wonderful guide
This was great tour for our first day in Tokyo. It gave a quick introduction of Shinjuku area with delicious food. We were stuffed and learned the history of different Japanese cuisines. Hochi was a wonderful tour guide with good knowledge and patience.

Five stars - highly recommend this tour!
We had an amazing time on this Shinjuku foodie tour! Hiro was an outstanding guide - kind, knowledgeable, and made the experience so enjoyable. With only one other guest, it felt almost like a private tour for our family of four. The food was incredible - it was the best sushi I’ve ever had, and our teens couldn’t stop talking about the wagyu. We highly recommend this tour, and if you’re lucky enough to get Hiro as your guide, you’re in for a fantastic experience!

Good way to experience this bar area!
Our guide was truly great!! We had a nice small group and got to try a few different items and got some good information to start the next bit of our trip.
I didn't love the area since the bars are so small.. but that just makes me extra happy I went with a guide!! I would have been overwhelmed on my own. This let me experience it all safely and with explanation!! Our group had a good time and went out after the guide went home.

Wonderful, flexible, and fun!
Our guide and driver were both fantastic. I was traveling with my husband and two teenagers and this was the last day of a 2 week trip. Our guide asked questions about our interests and experiences to plan a great day, then quickly flexed when the weather made us change plans! We had a fantastic time because she was so knowledgeable and kind.

Ask for Simon
Ask for Simon as your guide for this food tour. He told us about the area (Sibuya) as well as the food we were eating. He also told us why the food chosen is important to this part of Tokyo. Simon was also thoroughly enjoyable! I highly recommend this tour!

It was a great tour with our guide Yoshio! It was more than just food sampling but there was plenty of very tasty treats. He started the tour with a visit to the Buddhist temple we met in front of. We also when to another shrine later in the tour. It was just our family group and he offered a nice break to cool down and have a refresher indoors (visited in July). He was very friendly and informative.

Yuya was a wonderful guide! We got to taste a multitude of highlights from the market, and we highly recommend the wagyu skewers (5000 yen) and the Japanese omelet. Everything was delicious, although you do pay for it all out of pocket - so expect to bring some money!

Funny and knolegeable
We tried a LOT of different food. Ren is very kind and funny and could answer any question about the culture or Shijuku neighborhood. It was a delight to eat with him and if you are looking for a crash course in not just the cuisine, but for any advice about the area, then you will enjoy this tour.

Fun evening In Shinjuku
We went with our two teenage boys and they liked the Okonyiyaki pancakes quite a bit. We then stopped at a sushi restaurant and a snack ar that had amazing vibes. In between Sato showed us the many sites around Shinjuku while telling us about the history. We saw golden gai and other spots but did not stop due to having underage teens.

Fun and tasty afternoon
My 20 year old daughter and I did this tour during our first trip to Tokyo and it was one of our favorite activities! We met outside of a Buddhist temple and started with a short tour there. We then went into the fish market and learned about its history, as well of some the guide's favorite stalls. We had the time to purchase snacks before moving onto the class.
Our class was led by Coco and an experience sushi chef. The chef demonstrated how to prepare fish for sushi, as well as sashimi. Plates with prepared fish and bowls of rice were set out for us and the chef walked through how to make different types of nigiri. Finally, we learned how to make a roll. We then got to eat our creations - delicious. I would highly recommend this experience to anyone who enjoys sushi!
