10/10! This Tour Far Exceeded Expectations
Our guide, Danny, led us on a fantastic and interesting evening walking tour of the Shinjuku area of Tokyo. I’ve been on many tours over the years, and Danny is easily one of the most engaging and insightful guides ever. This experience was a delight!

Terrific Tour Guide Miguel
Our tour guide Miguel was fantastic. He made it fun with his story telling with facts, myths and rumors that kept us entertained. He even answered things we were wondering about Japan that’s not connected to the Imperial Palace tour. Highly recommend this tour!

Fun and engaging personalized tour with Mami
We had an awesome and fun time with Mami. She asked us what we would be interested in seeing and doing the day before the tour. On the day she picked us up from our hotel and guided us on a fun tour of several cultural areas and attractions that we wanted to see. Mami is very knowledgeable about various Tokyo sites and Japanese culture. She showed us some really fun places, restaurants, and stands that we wouldn’t have encountered on our own.
She is fun and energetic and really wants to provide an interesting and engaging tour. We had a lot of questions about everyday life in Japan and also about Japanese culture and she was very informative and open about Japan.
Even after the tour, she was so kind to send me places of interest that I wouldn’t have remembered to visit. And she also told me several times that I could contact her if I had any questions or wanted more recommendations.

Sumptuous, educational and so much fun!
Hitomi, our guide, was an absolute gem! She was very knowledgeable and gave us tons of great educational nuggets throughout the day. We started at the seafood market at an established stall where we learned a lot about how the tuna is procured, stored and prepared and also about the different cuts and theor uses. We ate several delicious samples before walking through the rest of the market where we sampled many other delicacies and also entered various shops based on our interests. Along the way she explained various traditions and ways of life and told us about her own family. We also toured a temple and ended the day with a delicious matcha ice cream. We can't praise her enough! We learned so much and had a blast. Usually I get tired by the end of a tour, but I could have spent the whole day with Hitomi- she is just a delight. We highly recommend this tour!

Fantastic tour
We had a fantastic tour around Shinjuku with Anthony. He was knowledgeable, engaging and made it a really fun evening full of local spots. Highly recommended booking yourself in for this tour and then continuing the night with longer stops at the places visited during the tour.
Thanks Anthony, we had a great time!

Tokyo Bar Hopping Tour in Shinjuku was awesome (mostly because of our guide)!
The MagicalTrip Team and our guide, Icchan, who spoke perfect English was awesome. He enhanced the experience with his knowledge of the area and his love of history. He provided great insights into Japaneses culture; and we experienced some cool "hole-in-the-wall" establishments and got drunk too!

Food, Fun and New Friends! Thanks Max!
Max was magnificent! Our first evening in Tokyo right off the cruise ship! What could have been better? Small group of 12 strangers who became friends over the course of the evening! So much food at 3 sit down and one stand up food stops! And the food, drinks and sake were all 10/10! Tried new things, learned tons, along with a tour off the Shinjuko area… including a walk through the red light district and Golden Gai! We all had so much fun and so many laughs! Max not only a passionate and wonderful guide, he is also a Sake Sommelier! Have been on my fair share of food tours and this one was by far the best! Thanks Max! Will search you out next time in Tokyo! Highly recommend!

We had a great tour. We...
We had a great tour. We opted for a 3 hour tour and asked to do some public transit around where we are staying (Shinjuku). Our guide Christiano was great. He pointed out landmarks so we could orientate ourselves, then took us to 4 sites which were all interesting.

Evening Tour starting at the famous Shibuya Crossing
Nikki was my tour guide on my first evening in Tokyo. I learned local dives and culture I didn’t know through reading and the internet. She was engaging and shared examples of her first hand experiences from being a local in Tokyo. Because it was a rainy evening I had the luxury of being the only one joining Nikki’s Shibuya evening tour.

Essential to have a guide on your first day.
Our guide Ikuko was very knowledgeable about history and taught us cultural traditions and customs while visiting local temples and parks. It was a beautiful memorable experience we will always treasure. We couldn’t have navigated the subway without her.

Private Walking Tour of Tokyo Hidden Gems
We just completed a private Tokyo tour with Sherilyn (“Custom Highlights and Hidden Gems”), and it exceeded all expectations. In just 4 hours, she managed to give us a rich, well-paced experience that included multiple shrines, the iconic Shibuya Scramble Crossing, and even the Godzilla Information Map in Shinjuku—plus many other interesting stops along the way.
Sherilyn was absolutely on a mission—in the best possible way. She maximized every minute, ensuring we not only saw a lot but also understood the history, culture, and context behind each location. It never felt rushed, just incredibly efficient and engaging.
What really stood out was her communication and professionalism. She reached out via WhatsApp well before our arrival in Tokyo, making coordination easy and giving us confidence going into the tour. During the tour, she was friendly, knowledgeable, and clearly passionate about what she does.
We logged over 13,000 steps (per my Apple Watch), which says a lot about how much ground we covered—but it was worth every step.
If you want a guide who will go above and beyond to give you a meaningful, high-value experience in a short amount of time, Sherilyn is an excellent choice. Highly recommended.

Best tour ever!
We had such a great bike tour—definitely one of the highlights of our trip!
I did the tour together with my 12-year-old son, and it was a really enjoyable experience for both of us. A big thank you to Yoshi and especially to Ninja, who was our guide. Ninja had a fantastic, positive energy and made the whole tour feel relaxed, fun, and very well organized.
Ninja shared interesting insights along the way and kept the group engaged without ever making it feel too heavy or overwhelming. He was also very attentive and made sure everyone—especially my son—felt comfortable and included throughout the tour.
All in all, a really smooth, enjoyable, and well-guided experience. We would absolutely recommend it!
