The staff were fantastic, so personable and fun. They will actually slow the train down so people can get good photo ops of animals or mountains. And then, of course, the scenery. No matter where you are sitting, you will have an amazing view.

My train was cancelled, but I was not notified in advance so I drove three hours just to enjoy your train. The bus ride was okay.

They will cancel your train and give you a bus without a courtesy email or phone call. I would avoid booking through viator.

No train!! a bus! the seats in the train station were very uncomfortable. It was too cold to sit outside. They passed out food boxes. They were only enough for six or seven people ,,and then they said I’m sorry that’s all there is ha ha it would have been better not to have given anyone food.

Fizemos um upgrade para a classe B e fomos na parte superior do trem, quase 100% de vidro, o que garantiu visibilidade completa das montanhas nevadas. A comida estava ótima e a equipe bastante atenciosa!
We upgraded to class B and rode in the upper part of the train, which is almost 100% glass, which gave us a full view of the snow-capped mountains. The food was great and the staff was very attentive!

Scenic train. Slow moving (avg speed 25-30 mph) which allows you to see your surroundings. If expedited travel is your priority take another mode of transportation. Very helpful that our baggage was pre-loaded from Major Marine Tours directly onto baggage car in Seward.

I debated on the best way to get back to Anchorage post cruise and I don’t regret choosing the train one bit. We saw so much wildlife, multiple glaciers, and got so many pictures of beautiful scenery. You definitely need to do it at least once!

Everything about this train trip exceeded our expectations. The staff were friendly, courteous, very helpful & knowledgeable about the trip. The trip was comfortable in Star Class with a delicious meal & a variety of drinks. We were in awe & amazement at the beautiful & spectacular scenery that we encountered around every bend of the trip. We 100% recommend this experience for all ages and are so very happy that we decided to choose Star Class travel.

The scenic views from the train during the trip are no less than spectacular. The timing of the trip means that you have a front row seat to a sunset over the coast from start to finish and light lasts nearly until the trip ends. Really great. Dining car was pretty good but you can't really relax in there; too much pressure to vacate so as to accommodate the passenger load.
Granted, the railway has no real control over them but people do troop up and down the train constantly. Upon arrival in Anchorage, the scene at the baggage claim awning was among the most chaotic I've ever witnessed. Very stressful...

This is really worth doing. Beautiful scenery all the way. I took the 6pm train and it wasn't crowded. Staff were generally helpful and informative. Snacks or meals available on train.

Great way to sit back and see some of the greatest landscapes on the planet! The crew was super friendly and helpful and regularly pointed out the key views before we arrived so we could get cameras prepped!

The most memorable were the glacial views. We also got to see wildlife on our way. The train was comfortable and the viewing dome was very nice.
With rain cleaning everything, the landscape became more green and amazing.

I really enjoy the trip. We saw some moose on the way.And beautiful views to mountains , glaciares, forest, lakes and river . From Seward, it's better choose the left side to seat.
En fact, I enjoy a lot , because I changed my ticket at the station with one of Dome view! It's more expensive but diner and drinks are included and the train had a 360° cristal view.
Viator should give the two options for the trip!!!
The train use an other way to go , so you can see some places are not posible by car or bus !

Beautiful views from Seward to Anchorage. Our ride had to be subbed out by a bus due to stated avalanche risk- but then a train blew by us going south to Seward on the tracks.

Should have a quiet car so one person can't ruin the experience for others trying to sleep. Other than that, while it was still daylight it was the most beautiful sightseeing!

Glaciers, and all the scenery. Smooth ride. Only a couple of moose were spotted on the ride. Very spacious seating.
