Our guide was a young man who was very well spoken, educated and cared about what he was doing. He did a great job. The content was compelling.

Fun! I didn't take the guidex tour, but I feel that I still learned alot. I went on a Sunday, so in the Speakeasy only Mocktails could be served due to Georgia's Blue Law.

Must see in Savannah. Learn the history of Prohibition in a fun and informative tour. Guide makes history come alive.
MaryJane_D, May 2026
We had a great tour guide for the prohibition museum. Very knowledgeable and animated. We loved that the guides and workers dress in the time period. The speakeasy at the end was equally delightful with very traditional drinks. Definitely not light on the pour either. We thoroughly enjoyed ourselves.

We did the self guided tour. Interesting and learned some things about the prohibition era that I didn't know. I feel like it's a little overpriced though
Nancy_K, May 2026
It was very interesting and enjoyable. Really enjoyed the historical background and explanations of how it came about and new businesses that occurred due to prohibition.

This was a great tour from a historical perspective. Our guide Rory really knew his stuff, and made the tour a lot of fun. I would recommend this tour to anyone interested in prohibition history, from the early beginnings to the reasons why it failed and ended.

This is so worth it! The guided tour really shocks you into the reality that prohibition was far more than the ban of liquor. It was a massive societal shift. Post prohibition changed America. The tour will tell you how. They are not done, as the learn new things I am sure the incorporate them. Very in depth and sad history. One of the best tours!

The guided tour was well worth the money. Although with general admission, you can still over hear parts of the tour if there are a guided tours going on at the same time, but you won’t get the same experience for sure. We learned a lot, and our guide was entertaining and knowledgeable.

So much fun! Our tour guide, Taylor, was so knowledgeable and entertaining. I am a history professor, and I thought this was an excellent public history experience. Spring for the guided tour and cocktail experience. It was so worth it, and you get half off drinks in the speak easy afterwards!

Great experience! I just wish they had more names by the black photographs. It would have been helpful. They had several names by most of the other photos but when it came to the black gangster section…you were left wondering who were they. Other than that…the whole experience was amazing!

Loved this museum! So fun and informational. Done so well. The wax figures are so realistic. There are docents everywhere to answer questions and give info. It’s set up so realistically you feel like you’re part of the prohibition times. The speakeasy and drinks from the times was the cherry on top. Would totally recommend this museum.

We absolutely loved it! Our guide Rory presented and did an amazing job! We definitely would recommend others to take the tour.

Interesting and fun. Tour guide was nice but talked just too fast. But this was a great way to kick off our weekend!!
jessica_b, Dec 2025
Very educational experience! I learned so much in the hour we was in there! Only complaint is the bathroom is at the very end of the tour
Parissa_S, Nov 2025
Amazing staff, extremely knowledgeable and engaged. Would highly recommend. A great look into the history, artifacts and mindset of the time.
Jeanine_M, Nov 2025
Excellent. They seem to add more to it every time we visit. Staff is great. Era drinks on point. A don’t miss

we had a disabled friend with us and she could not enjoy the tour because the elevator was not working . I notified Viator and they refunded my money for the two of them . Very good to work with.

Visuals and verbal information extraordinary. Presented in a concise, timely manner, while relaying so much information, much of which was new to me. One of the best tours I’ve ever been on! Definitely worth your time!
Jessica_N, Sep 2025
It was very informative and fun to go through history. The folks are very nice and willing to give more history and information.
VINCENT_C, Sep 2025

We originally booked the non-guided tour but at the entrance we bumped into Tommy- the guide there who shared a few facts and we turned right around and booked the guided tour. Tommy was fantastic - informative, funny and very detailed— totally worth the upgrade fee- enhanced our entire visit. The museum is great and we will definitely return
Deborah_H, Aug 2025
Marcie was a great tour guide very informative lots of information I never knew. The artifacts are awesome.
Allyson_M, Aug 2025
This is about a hour and the tour guide will explain a lot. Yes take with tour guide NOT self tour. The speakeasy was cool and the drink was yummy.
Gregor_B, Jun 2025
Our guide was very knowledgable and engaging. Some parts did feel slightly rushed but I would still recommend it. Towards the end our guide started making several references to him wanting a tip which was odd however.
William_R, Jun 2025
Very cool tour and easy to do at your own pace! Plenty of info on prohibition time period all over the US!
Shelley_A, Jun 2025
Very interesting. We chose to go at our own pace and enjoyed the Reading Materials. The gift shop was nice.
Diana_W, Jun 2025
The tour was informative but don’t book it for a Sunday if you’re wanting a REAL cocktail at the end. No alcohol served on a Sunday so all you get is a mocktail. Bartender makes a good alcohol free punch.
