The Dolphin Eco Tour takes place on the River Street Landing dock just in front of the restaurant Spanky's on River Street. The vessel you will be going on is called the River Explorer. Your crew will be at the top of the ramp to greet you and board approximately 30-min prior to departure.

This tour was absolutely amazing. Our captain was entertaining and told us a lot of interesting facts about the area, history, and ecosystem. It was so cool to see the dolphins and other wildlife in the marshes. I definitely recommend this activity to anyone visiting Savannah!

Every tour is different, but we sighted three pods, one with a calf. The captain and crew were clearly experienced in dolphin behavior and frequently predicted what the dolphins would do. Exciting and engaging!

Great experience! We saw alot of dolphin! The boat trip was very enjoyable! We learned alot and I appreciated all of the information that was shared with us about dolphins, Savannah, history and the river! Great music onboard too!! Conner and Zena did an excellent job!

The guides were engaging and knowledgeable. Being out on the water was a great change of pace after all the walking around Savannah. Interesting from ecological and industrial perspectives. The Q&A was fun - these guys know their dolphin facts!

This was a great tour on the Savannah River. We saw dolphins swimming along with us for a long time. We saw bald Eagles too! The historical information was great! The two crew members on board were very knowledgeable and helpful!

It was a nice tour with a friendly Captain, Connor, and first mate, Skylar. We learned facts about the coastal waterways and dolphins and other species. We had a trio of dolphins swimming along this 50’ pontoon boat. Also saw bald eagles.

Wonderful tour, the guides were very sweet and informative. I felt safe.on a windy day with our captain. We say a dolphin jumping and a baby dolphin. I appreciate the communication when our trip had to be rescheduled due to storms.

The guides were very knowledgeable and we saw lots of dolphins. We got an email the night before telling us to bundle up because it was expected to be cold. That warning was helpful. Captain Connor and his mate were friendly. The highlight of our trip to Savannah.

They had to cancel our original booking and switched us to a sunset cruise. It did not disappoint! Krista and Skyllar did a really great job and we got to see so many dolphins and birds and one river otter! Well worth our time and money!

The tour guides/captain were both great! We did this in January after New Year’s and would recommend it! There wasn’t as much sun or greenery. But there was PLENTY of wildlife to watch! We saw about four-five dolphins including a mom and her baby! Yes they’re still very active even during winter. We also saw many wetland birds including: egrets, pelicans, a bald eagle, turkey vultures, great blue heron, and more. Like I said plenty to see even in winter! Offers a different kind of coastal lens to witness marshes and river ways during the colder months. A fair warning though, make sure you’re paying attention to the weather the day of your tour. Bring layers, a winder breaker, hat and gloves. If it’s cold out it will feel ten times colder with the wind chill from the speed of the boat. Just be prepared and you’ll enjoy it as much as we did!

So worth it! Very friendly, very informative. I traveled with a 2 and 7 year old and they both loved seeing the dolphins! Both captains were amazing and my 7 year old kept saying she loved Birdy's voice! We would definitely take another tour when we come back!

Great, we did see wild dolphins. The ship captain and his assistant was great. We get to see the local ecosystem, and there was even some historical artifacts and ancient shark tooth as part of show-and-tell

Captain's Bird and Krista led us into the low country with enthusiasm and vast knowledge of the area. Tour was great as you are close enough to the water to see the dolphins up close. Highly recommend.

We had a great time on the River Explorer. The weather was perfect. The captain and first mate were exceptional. Their narration was superb. We saw eagles, egrets, pelicans, cormorants, and a large pod of dolphins. All of our large party enjoyed the two hour tour of the Savannah River. We would highly recommend this excursion.

The Eco tour is easily one of the neatest things we did in Savannah during our stay. Not only is there a chance to see all the beautiful wildlife that live in the area, including dolphins. It’s also a chance to see and hear about the industry and history located on the river. I highly recommend!
