This was a very nice dolphin tour! CPT Lauren did a great job showing us the sites and spotting dolphins. We were able to see not one but two sets of baby dolphins and their mothers. It was well worth the time.

The boat tour was a very enjoyable and informative experience. We saw dolphins 7min into the cruise then proceeded on to the salt marshes where we saw several different species of birds including some Rose Spoonbills. The tour guide were informative and engaging.

Great tour, learned a lot and saw dolphins. Learned about the salt marshes and the area. Would highly recommend this tour.

We didn’t see any dolphins, but the fins of 2 & that was it. We didn’t even go to the location that was advertised when I paid $165 for this excursion. What made it even worse the captain was telling her partner it had been like that all week, so why take us out if that was a possibility of not even seeing anything. I learned more about boats/ships, mud, & a few birds if anything BUT no dolphins sadly. I just expected more to be coming from out of town. We even tipped leaving as well leaving the boat.

From beginning to end our journey was fantastic. So glad I used Viator to set up our excursion with the dolphins. I purchased our tickets on line. The driving directions were perfect. The dolphin cruise exceeded my expectations. The weather was beautiful. We saw so many dolphins. We were as excited as our grandchildren. The captain and first mare were friendly and knowledgeable. Reasonable price for a 2 hour trip. Highly recommend.

Our dolphin boat cruise yesterday was genuinely fantastic. From start to finish, the experience delivered exactly what we hoped for: calm water, great views, and lots of dolphins gliding and playing all around us.
The crew was friendly, knowledgeable, and clearly passionate about the wildlife and the area. They made the whole trip feel relaxed and comfortable.
One of the unexpected highlights was the pontoon design. Because it sits low in the water, dolphins could swim directly underneath and along both sides of the boat. It created these magical, close‑up moments where you could watch them glide just a few feet away — sometimes even racing the boat. It felt immersive in a way traditional tour boats can’t match.
The boat itself was comfortable and thoughtfully equipped. There was a bathroom onboard, which made the trip easy for families, and they offered snacks for purchase (we didn’t buy any, but it was nice to have the option).
Overall, it was a smooth, memorable, joy‑filled experience. If you’re looking for a dolphin tour that gets you close to the action with a great crew and a comfortable setup, this one is absolutely worth it.

The crew was very experienced, knowledgeable, and very friendly. They provided a lot of information about the wildlife, the Dolphins, and the area in general. I highly recommend taking this tour. It is a very family, friendly event, and very, very informative and enjoyable.

Amazing trip. Very informative and entertaining. Highly recommend this trip. We started seeing dolphins before we left the dock

Approximately 2 hour tour down the Savannah River and back marsh areas. We saw dolphins, birds, and an alligator. Good relaxing tour for all ages.

Capt. Conner and First Mate Tanner were great. We say several pods of dolphin while traveling the river. Got a history lesson on Ft. Jackson and an overview of the eco system of the marshes. Weather turned bad and our trip was cut a bit short but Capt. Conner put our safety first. We had a great time and recommend this as a family friendly activity in Savannah.

Great guides Very comfortable boat. Knowledgeable and good sense of humor. Well worth the cost and fun
Catriona_M, May 2026
Really great tour. Well worth it as a break from the city trips. We saw so much wildlife and got great insights from the guides!
Kim_W, May 2026
Nice open boat. Easy to move from side to side to see the dolphins. Note that you mostly see just dorsal fins but may be lucky enough to see a tail slap or even a jump. We did see two dolphins close enough to the boat to get a good look, but not everyone on the boat was close enough to see it. There was a family with small children, maybe 3 & 5 yrs old. The kids seemed bored after the first sighting.
Barbara_R, May 2026
Excellent narration and history of the area and ecosystem. Saw many dolphins and even a mom & baby dolphin.
KIRK_A, May 2026
This was the best tour we did while we were in Savannah! We saw 4 or 5 dolphins, and a pair of them swam next the boat for almost an hour! We also saw an alligator, coyote and some cool birds along the shore!! Both tour guides were great and very knowledgeable about the area and wildlife.
Rachel_M, May 2026
The tour wasn’t just about locating dolphins but how Savannah has taken care of their home and made it more comfortable for them to adapt.
Kimberly_F, May 2026
Such a relaxing and amazing tour. We saw so many dolphins. some we saw within 10 minutes of being on the boat. We had a special surprise near the end where we saw a momma and a BABY dolphin. It was so sweet. The captain and Zena were so informative. We got to see some very old pottery they found in the salt marshes and a megladon tooth. Very chill yacht rock rounded out the vibe. The boat is covered so you are not getting sunburned!

This was a really cool experience! We had the luck of a cargo ship coming through and got witness a mom and baby dolphin wave jumping !!
loewymartin, May 2026
First day was rained out (and had high winds). They rescheduled us for the next day. Still had a bit of rain. But we saw dolphins within moments of leaving the dock! Connor and Tanner had great info on the area and sea life we were seeing. Answered all questions and were great guides.
Theresa_K, May 2026
It was a fun boat/ pontoon ride with an interesting guide who is a marine biologist. We saw multiple dolphins and they were swimming, playing and jumping.
Barbara_P, May 2026
Enjoyed the beauty of the marshes. Saw lots of dolphins. Appreciated Connor and Skylar’s extensive knowledge of aquatic life.
Dori_V, May 2026
We went on a boat ride to view dolphins. Was good. Take a jacket or hoody. It gets chilly. We went May 3rd. It was about 70 degrees in the sun. But cooler on boat. Where pants and long sleeve shirt as well. Unless it’s really hot. Still would have a light jacket. There’s a covering over your head so you’re protected from the sun. Saw quite a few dolphins with babies. Early May is when they have their babies.
Lauren_C, May 2026
It was a fun 2 hour trip despite the weather. We did in fact see some dolphins! The crew was personable and shared some interesting facts about the dolphins and ecosystem. Music was on point as well.

This was one of our favorite activities in Savanah - staff was SO nice and knowledgeable and we saw so many dolphins and other wildlife too! Weather was crazy and they were all about safety and got us on a later cruise when our original one couldn’t go due to weather. Super great communication and just a fantastic time all around ! Cannot recommend this activity enough- thank you for giving us such a wonderful memory on our mother/daughter trip!
Amanda_D, Apr 2026
We had a great time! Enjoyed the mix of history, nature and music. Saw a pod of dolphins with 2 babies. Would highly recommend!
Margaret_N, Apr 2026
This was a two hour tour on a very comfortable and shaded pontoon boat up and down the Savannah River. Our captain, Christa, was very knowledgeable, friendly and enthusiastic. We learned so much about history, environmental issues, and about the many birds and animals that make their home there.
Kelly_H, Apr 2026
We saw a baby dolphin!! Our guides were fantastic! It was a beautiful day on the water and we learned so much about Savannah.
September_D, Apr 2026
We lucked out and went during a smaller group time. The captain was very knowledgeable and the first mate was learning the ropes. It was a great time! Seeing the dolphins and birds, learning about all of the southern ecosystem was incredible! Thanks Tanner and Conner!!
