    Excellent tour. Guide...

Excellent tour. Guide very knowledgeable about Amish culture. Stops were very good. One was a quilt shop so not everyone 's cup of tea but brief stop. We went back afterwards to two of the places.

    Interesting and friendly tour

Wonderful guide. Friendly guide and driver, great explanation. Less to see at the end of April so best time to go is before the 15th.

Learn about the Amish and Mennonites

Kendra was very informative....learned alot...ordered some books she recommended...too bad they don't offer them in the gift store. We will be taking our out of town guests in the future

Interesting tour but price is a bit high

    Carol_W, Mar 2024
We certainly learned so much about the Amish/Mennonite culture and way of life. Best part was Kendra’s personal experiences that she shared. It was expensive for the short tour that included stops at the hotel lobby, Quilt shop and bakery that you can do on your own for free, but it was an enjoyable and educational morning.

    RUSH, RUSH, RUSH

My husband thought the pie shooters and bakery were the best parts of the tour. I have conducted and have been on many tours, but would rate this one as the worst. Kendra's focus was on the clock, her Amis antecedents, and promoting Der Dutchman Hospitality Group. When I had a question concerning creamed celery served at Amish weddings, she ignored it and let us know she hated creamed celery.

    Response from Host, Jan 2024

Kathy I already responded to you personally so I find it frustrating that you felt the need to post this angry and confusing review. What exactly are you upset about? That Kendra does not like creamed celery? The tour is 1 hour and 45 min to allow 15 min at each location which is more than enough time. The idea is to encourage people to come back and spend more time if they wish and many do. Der Dutchman is our partner and the main business in the Amish community of Pinecraft. We could not offer this tour without their support and blessing and are grateful to them for providing the pie shooters and allowing their Amish staff to address our tour guests during their work day. You arrived late. That’s perhaps why you felt rushed. Your confirmation stated arrive 30 min in advance so we can board on time. Everyone was waiting for you. All other 29 people loved this tour and arrived on time. I am sorry you did not but I respectfully ask you to stop disparaging my wonderful Guide Kendra. She has never been rude to anyone in the five years she has led this tour. She is Mennonite and that behavior is not part of this culture; something you clearly did not learn or appreciate.

Kendra was amazing. She was very knowledgeable and so kind and genuine. The trolley driver was also very kind and helpful. He assisted my mother in law, who requires a Walker, on and off the bus at every stop.
