- Please be aware that the Sistine Chapel is a Holy Place and talking during your visit inside is strictly forbidden, therefore your guide will give you an explanation of the Sistine Chapel beforehand during your tour, in order to give you a comprehensive explanation before entering the chapel.
- Backpacks are not permitted in the Museum.
- Everyone in your group, regardless of age, needs a government issued ID to enter the Vatican Museums.

- From January 12 through March 31, the Vatican Museums will be carrying out special conservation work on Michelangelo’s Last Judgment inside the Sistine Chapel. During this time, a scaffolding structure will cover the entire Last Judgment wall. The Sistine Chapel will remain open and fully accessible, but this specific artwork will not be visible during the restoration period. Thank you for your understanding as this masterpiece receives important care.

The Vatican at sunset is truly something to behold. Our guide’s passion and knowledge was second to none. He took the time to get to know us and to then highlight art and artifacts that would be of special meaning to us. We were fortunate enough to even get a quick peek into the Room of Tears during our time in the Sistine Chapel.

Our private tour was amazing. Francesco was absolutely great taking us to his filtered out favorites. Considering how many galleries there are it would be hard to do it on your own. Having a personal tour guide made it much more enjoyable and we were able to see some of the nicer works with great explanations.

We had such a nice time learning about the history of the Vatican and sistine chapel. The art and sculptures were breathtaking! I would recommend to anyone doing this tour to bring water and stay hydrated in the summer months. I got overheated at the end of the tour.

Our guide was phenomenal- she was enthusiastic and obviously passionate about the museums, her city and the art. She met us on time where we expected, and she was kind, and considerate of the variety of the things we wanted to see- She stopped and pointed out all of the things we would see in the chapel and we are so thankful she did as that education and understanding was fundamental to appreciating the museums and the chapel .

It was very interesting. Our tour guide was very nice, but it was so crowded that we had a hard time keeping up which meant we really did not have time to really look at much. People who have trouble walking need to know there are many, many steps.

Our guide Marta catered to our needs and desires. She was very knowledgable and also had a nice sense of humor. It was nice that she focused on the items that we were most interested in and never bored us, like most tour guides do in my opinion. Well worth the private tour price for the individualized experience.

Definitely recommend!! Our tour started at 530pm so much less crowded than the middle of the day. We saw all the highlights with lots of history information. Having a private tour allowed us to make more frequent stops and no rushing with pictures.

This tour should be renamed. It’s very misleading by saying Vatican Tour & Sistine Chapel. Only includes the Vatican Museum and not St Peter’s Basilica.
Also, our tour guide made us feel rushed the entire tour. Once we went through the Sistine chapel in 15 minutes, the staff were literally kicking us out because they were closing and we really saw none of the artifacts after the Sistine Chapel. Very poor planning.
For what we paid for this tour, I would have expected much more from this tour. We should receive a partial refund due to the lack of quality of this tour.

Valentina was our guide and she was absolutely amazing. One of the best tour guides we’ve ever had. We were traveling with our 13-year-old granddaughter and Valentina. made sure that the 13-year-old was included in the tour. Our granddaughter said it was the best tour of the entire trip! It was wonderful to go in the evening when it was less crowded.

Probably the best tour we did in Rome. I will visit the Vatican only at night from now on. The best time to visit - not as crowded, more intimate tour, and not as hot as during the days. Our guide was simply the best and we visited places in the Vatican that you would not visit with a standard tour.
