    2 stars because we were...

2 stars because we were able to do both things on the tour (bonfire and fireworks at Perlman,) which was the main objective, but it was chaotic and disorganized from pick up to drop off. Our driver Gimmy was sweet but didn’t seem to be concerned at all about keeping to a timeline. We drove around for nearly an hour trying to find 2 passengers who weren’t at their designated meeting spot, meaning we didn’t arrive to the bonfires until well after 9pm. Then when driving up to the Perlan to watch fireworks, he seemed shocked that they weren’t letting cars in to park. Part of the reason I booked this (very expensive) tour was the assumption from the listing that the tour group had coordinated somehow with the perlan but that was obviously not the case. Gimmy then said something to the effect of “ok- I know a couple other spots where we should be able to see them” and drove to one which was also blocked off. At this point someone in our group asked if he could just park down the hill from the perlan and we could walk up, or drop us off, so he drove back over there and parked at the bottom of the hill and we walked up, then waited in the cold for about an hour before the fireworks began. I ultimately got to do both things I set out to do, but would not take this tour again mainly because there was clearly no coordination with the Perlan which is what I thought I was paying for.

Dear Amy, Thank you so much for sharing your experience with us. I’m glad to hear that you were able to experience both the bonfire and the fireworks, though I am truly sorry that the journey there felt chaotic and disorganized. Regarding the pick-up, our driver, Gummi, was faced with a tough choice. Two guests were at an incorrect location, and while we always aim to stay on schedule, as a small family company, we truly value every guest, and Gummi didn't want to leave anyone behind on such a special night. We understand that this delayed your arrival at the bonfire, and we’re looking into how we can manage these situations better in the future to keep things moving smoothly for everyone. I also want to clear up the confusion regarding the Perlan. While we wish we could coordinate private parking there, the Perlan does not offer reserved spots for tour operators or groups. On New Year's Eve, the local authorities often block roads or change access without much notice due to the crowds. We apologize if the tour description gave the impression of a private arrangement; our goal is always to use our local expertise to navigate these busy spots as best as possible. We are a small team that puts our heart into these tours, and we’re genuinely sorry that the evening didn't feel as seamless as you expected. We appreciate your patience in walking up the hill to ensure you didn't miss the show. We’d love to have the chance to improve this experience in order to aim for the high-quality, personal experience we are known for. Thank you again for your opinion and for giving us a chance, and we wish you all the best in 2026.

The tour made this incredible experience stress free for my family of 6

We started by going to a giant bonfire, then headed to the Perlan to watch the fireworks. The fireworks were incredible. Starting around 11:30pm, we had a 360 degree view of constant fireworks. There ended up being people setting fireworks off in the parking lot behind us, which didn’t feel safe. Our guide provided expert, friendly care in getting everyone on the bus, and to our destinations. He provided sparklers for the kids, and snacks and drinks for all of us. After midnight, we all had a toast, which conveniently allowed for all the traffic to pass.
