Too much time wasted on the hot chocolate and snack….the hot chocolate was watery too. Would have liked to have gone to more spots to see the northern lights. It was a bit disappointing. Description said 4 hours but we were back early.

I’m sorry to hear the tour didn’t fully meet your expectations. The hot chocolate stop is meant to be a nice extra, but it shouldn’t take away from time spent chasing the lights, so we’ll definitely review this, including the quality.
I also understand your point about visiting more locations and the tour finishing earlier than expected, we’ll look into that as well.
We do hope you still enjoyed seeing the Northern Lights, as that’s always the highlight.

This was a last minute booking for us! We were one another tour and had our guide look into the weather and KP rating for that night. We were in Iceland for the weekend only! The Northern Lights did not disappoint!! A BEAUTIFUL evening of lights that you could see with the naked eye as well as with our phone cameras! Although our bus did get stuck and we had to have a new one sent out, the memory is of the amazing views and not the late late night!! Our bus driver and guides were amazing and VERY helpful!!!

We did the northern lights tour on April 4, 2026. It was an amazing experience. Our guide, Jessica, was super knowledgeable and fantastic. Our driver drove us there safely. Even though there was a mishap, we are so happy that we get to see the northern lights.

We really enjoyed this tour. Our guide, Daniel the Aurora Whisperer, was a lot of fun, full of knowledge, and a good communicator. He even shared how to take good photos of the aurora. They monitored the weather, as well as the aurora activity, traveled accordingly, and did a good job trying to find the Northern Lights for us. And were successful! In fact, as we were heading back for the night, the driver spotted the Northern Lights again, even brighter than before, pulled over and had us get out to observe them once again. I was very grateful to get to see them. The surprise toward the end was also much appreciated. A bathroom break was also built into the tour. Of note, we went in late March and it was quite cold out there - and we had no wind that night! Hats, neck gaiters, good gloves/mittens, outer pants are a must!! Would definitely recommend this tour.

The experience never happened as the tour operator cancelled the trip and as we were only in Iceland for 2 nights and booked the trip for our second night there was no chance of another trip so tride for a refund but was unsuccessful sa there policy is non refundable so this company has essentially stolen money from hard working people.

Had an amazing experience got amazing photographs. Not many folk can say I love you to their partner under the lights. Our tour guide was Jessica and she was lovely + extremely informative about how the lights happen and the best ways to capture them. Hot chocolate provided also.
Be sure to book this tour as we got an amazing surprise at the end! 😋
100% worth the money I'd have paid even more for this experience.
Driver was very road safe as well.
They definitely deserve the 5 stars given.

Was very chill group and great guides just did not see any lights. I would suggest before hand if the probability is low reimburse as it was a waste of money.

That said, we do offer a free rebooking (second chance) if the lights are not seen, so our guests have another opportunity to experience them.

After the weather cancelling our planned northern lights trip the day before, we were excited to finally get on this trip. Just wow. From the ease of pick up at our hotel on time, to the warm welcome from tour guide Daniel and driver Michael this was the most incredible experience. Daniel guided us through the conditions for the night which were all looking positive for sightings. We arrived at the first stop and the Aurora did not disappoint. We saw the most magical lights and had some incredible photos. We were told we were one in 200,000 people to experience the Aurora th way we saw it that night. Hot chocolate was great and we had a seamless drop back to the hotel. Daniel and Michael are fantastic and I would highly recommend this experience. Made even more so it was my partners birthday and he proposed on this day too. Just the best. Thank you 🤍

Magic Island Tours is a relatively new company with positive energy and high importance placed on customer satisfaction. Daniel was our tour guide for this incredible Northern Lights Excursion! He supplied us with so much interesting information and I was so impressed with the way he was able to help us all set up our cameras with great ease so that we would be able to photograph the Northern lights with the sharpest pictures possible. We were so fortunate to have been led to our very first location, which almost immediately allowed us to experience an incredible Northern lights display! It was so perfect that we didn’t need to relocate anywhere else! An absolute once in a lifetime experience! And to top it off, Daniel treated us all to hot chocolate and a little additional local treat at the end. The whole excursion was nothing less than magical and I would give this experience the highest rating possible! We saw the northern lights as a band, like a rainbow. It lasted quite a while and was very pretty. The tour bus picked us up from our spot on time, and the tour guide, Unnur, was very informative and friendly. It was nice to hear an Icelander's viewpoint and how much she loved talking about her country. The bus was comfortable, and very necessary to hide in from time to time between taking pictures, since it was so windy and cold outside.

It was so good! It is very busy at the 12 stop. Several tours pick up there.The bus has very good signage and says Magic Island. The tour guide was very informative and pointed out different places to look at to see them. Also very good tips for taking the best pictures.

The bus is really nice. The guide and driver were very determined to get us to the best spot to see the lights…and they did! It was my daughter’s dream and I appreciated their attention to the weather and data to get us in spot with a view! Seeing lights is lucky…but this tour gave us a better chance! They also helped with phot tips and lots of knowledge!

We were incredibly lucky to see the Northern Lights on our very first night. Our guide was fantastic — very knowledgeable about the aurora and genuinely enthusiastic, which made the whole experience even more enjoyable.
The only downside was the pickup: the bus arrived about 25 minutes later than the scheduled time, and we had to wait outside in temperatures of around -10°C. Aside from this delay, the tour was a wonderful and memorable experience.

Our tour guide was Daniel. I suspect Daniel is no tour guide, I think he is an astronomer because he knows very much not only about Northern Lights but also about stars and satellites. He explains everything about the Lights and also about finding them.
About the surprise offered... I will just tell you it was a real surprise, I imagined it would be a little chocolate or a postcard with the Aurora but it's much more interesting.
Daniel also knows a lot about preparing the camera for best possible photos.
