IMPORTANT: The pickup starts at 9:00am and usually takes place between 9:00 and 9:30am. So please be ready at 9:00 at your pickup location. NOTE: Please note that Back to Iceland travel offers free pickup and drop off from hotels within Reykjavik. As buses are not allowed to drive in certain areas of Reykjavik center, your pick up may be from the nearest BUS STOP #. If you do not mark a hotel or BUS STOP# for pickup, the default pickup place is BUS STOP #8. If your pick-up location is not on our pick-up list then we kindly ask you to locate the closest pick-up point( Hotel or BUS STOP #) to your accommodation from the map or list below and meet us there for your tour. One –two days before tour we will notify you of your exact pick up location and we will tell you all update info if need to know. We also do pickups from the following BUS STOPS : #1, #3, #4,#5, #6, #8, #9,#12,#13 and #15 in Reykjavik,since some hotels are located within traffic restricted areas.

This is a wonderful tour to see highlights of Reykjavik outside of the city. Our guide made a couple of extra stops to get close to Icelandic horses and a farm that makes awesome ice cream. We made it back to port on time with a few minutes to spare.

The Golden Circle is a wonderful day trip from Reykjavik - with more places to visit than time will permit. And the weather will almost certainly not cooperate for the entire day - but being on a small coach with a knowledgeable local guide made for a great tour.

The waterfall stops were breathtaking. Tomas gave us a great individual tour as other people canceled when their ship couldn't make port. He added one or two stops...fairly long day but Tomas kept it well paced.

Anton did a great job of showing us the sites and giving us interesting and humorous stories surrounding the places we visited and bout Iceland in general. He did a great job of driving the very comfortable mini-bus and keeping us informed on our destination and the scenery we passed.

Pick up was bad. Victors description of the meeting spot was incorrect according to the tour company. Led to a 1.5 hour delay. Poor administration.

Our driver/guide was the highlight of the trip. Extremely knowledgeable and easy to listen to. He paced the day very well and added a tour through the city which we had been unable to do the day before due to embarkation issues. Highly recommend!

There was a waterfall on the later part of the tour that seemed to form its own sort of aqueduct between two rock walls before falling down a second waterfall. It was a good walk and a beautiful spot.

Kudos to the company!
The day before our tour we were contacted to let us know we would be the only ones on the tour so our driver would be picking us up in a CRV instead of the usual van. I am so happy that we were still able to take this tour; many other operators may have cancelled due to a low amount of participants.
Anton, our guide was a very professional gentleman. It was nice to feel like we had our own private tour. He made our tour experience a very positive one. We did not feel rushed at all and were able to see everything at our own pace. He told us a lot of information about the country and what it was like to live in Iceland.

The stops along the tour route we’re nice and the driver was ok. The viewing windows were small. I sat in the back with minimal views while riding from stop to stop. It was advertised that Wi-Fi would be available; it wasn’t.

I am sorry that you had a seat at the back of the bus with a smaller window and a worse view from the window. The Sprinter bus is standard and for technology and safety reasons the panoramic window cannot be placed near the back seat.
We had a large group on the day of the tour. Unfortunately, we had people with disabilities and mobility restrictions. When they sat down, it looked like one person two seats were taken. You sat at the back of the bus, where there seems to be more room to sit next to each other. However, there were 2 free seats at the front of the bus near the window next to the disabled passenger. I understand that you wanted to sit together and it was your decision.
WI-FI was working on the bus, it was checked before departure. Perhaps the connection was very slow or more complicated due to the large number of people who wanted to connect or use the WI-FI on the bus.
Sorry again for the inconvenience.

We did see places we wanted to see. Then we proceeded to see additional locations. We went over the time give on the information page as for timeline.
We scheduled this tour because we arrived to early for check in to our hotel. Needless to say, we were exhausted to start with, and that was our fault. We should have never scheduled this tour.
The driver/tour guide was thrilled that someone else on the tour spoke Russian. So he proceeded to speak Russian a lot.
From experience, we appreciate guides that are from the country we are visiting. We find they are proud of their country and you can tell by their guidance.
The van temperature was not consistent and got very warm at times.

Yes, I was not born in Iceland, but I have lived here for most of my life and have been working as a driver/guide for more than fifteen years. I regret that there were passengers in the group who did not understand English at all, so Russian was also spoken.In Iceland it is normal practice for the driver/guide to speak two or three languages.Once again, I apologize for the unjustified expectations, I hope you will have a better experience next time.

Anton was a great guide, with a dry sense of humour and easy to understand.
He was flexible with timing the tour, we didn't feel rushed at all. Stopped at all the sites and I don't think it was luck that we managed to arrive and leave before larger groups swamped the areas.

Anton, our tour guide made several small stops like one at a tomato greenhouse. We had the out of this world tomato sorbet! We stopped by horses to feed horse candies, then ice cream with cows! All the featured places, we had enough time to explore. Anton, kept us engaged with icelandic fables and folk stories. At the end of tour, Anton had to come back to our hotel to return my cell phone, thank you so much. Great experience in this full day tour.

Book this tour now! We had the best time - it ended up only being the two of us on the tour, which suited us just fine. The sights were breath taking and Anton provided all the facts along the way. We were provided with crampons for the outdoor stops which was great because it was snowy and icy when we went.
It was an action packed day but it went so fast. From the natural sights, to having a Bloody Mary, and also stopping by for some local ice cream, this tour had it all.
We would 100% recommend this tour to everyone! Big shout out to Anton, best guy and best tour guide we've ever had.

Firstly thank you to the Back to Iceland company for allowing us re arrange our trips to different days during our holiday due to bad weather. Communication was excellent. We ended up being the only two people booked onto the Golden Circle tour so we had a private tour with the fantastic Antanas. Thank you so much, we really enjoyed the tour and your jokes! Antanas was a great tour guide - he told us a lot of interesting facts during our journey but would allow you to explore the sights independently and do your own thing - which was great for us. Would highly recommend this fabulous company if looking to book Iceland trips 😀

Our guide was a great driver. Even though the weather was pretty rough during the tour, I feel pretty safe. If you expect a guide that walks around with you and shows you around, he is probably not your guy. But I usually like to be left alone at the destination, so I enjoyed the tour.
