Please be ready at the designated meeting point at least 10 minutes before the scheduled departure. • Miðbakki Cruise Terminal: Please wait near the main exit area of the terminal where tour vehicles can access. • Skarfabakki 312 Cruise Terminal: This location includes Skarfabakki, Vör, and Korngarður Cruise Terminals. Please wait outside the cruise ship exit gate in the designated pickup area in front of the terminal building. Look for your driver or a vehicle with company signage. • Faxagarður Cruise Terminal: Please stay near the main cruise terminal exit area where vehicles can safely stop for pickup.

Come prepared for cold and wet weather and bring an umbrella if possible. I had rain gear, but not enough. It was cold and wet. The guide we had needed to be clearer on instructions about when and where to meet and more informative of the sites ... especially the Tectonic plates site. I had no idea what we were there to see until I went into the visitor center to ask.

We did not have a guided tour as promised. The supposed guide was actually just a driver who was told by the tour company to fill in for the guide who didn’t show. The driver was given a script to read with about 1 paragraph per sight. He read as he drove and it was very difficult to understand what he was saying. He kept swerving over the road as he tried to read and drive at the same time. The group was very nervous and one member took the papers and microphone from him and read the script to the group. I sat behind the driver and saw him reading his messages as he was driving. Every member of the group expressed concern about the dangerous driving and disappointment about not getting a real tour. Simply not up to Viator standards.

Philipp was a fantastic driver and tour guide. Sitting in the passenger seat next to him, I was able to chat with him a bit. He was always friendly and happy to share information. Thanks to our good time management, we were able to make an extra stop on the return journey.
If I could wish for one thing, it would be nice if he shared even more information about the area—legends, stories, myths, the new and the old... (just like on the return trip).

Laura was an excellent guide, very knowledgeable and engaging. She is also a very safe driver on some tricky roads and road surfaces. The walk in the National Park was a fascinating start, not strenuous but requiring reasonable mobility, especially if the optional walk to the waterfall is undertaken. Laura didn’t rush us to get back on the coach but allowed everybody the time they needed. The geyser stop was impressive although the prices of refreshments was sky high, not the fault of anybody at Viator! The third scheduled stop was the Gulfoss waterfall which was hugely impressive. Again we were allowed to take our time to admire the spectacular falls and at no point were we rushed. All in all, an excellent experience, reasonably priced. Communication in organising the day by Viator was excellent and Laura was a credit to the company. Our first experience of Viator but not our last.

The day covered all that was in the itinerary and more. We were lucky to have a fine day with blue sky which enhanced our experience. The places we visited were interesting and the driver/guide clearly knew all the information including local details as he lived in the area. The only thing that was not so good was the mini bus, it was old and had no air-conditioning. Apart from that it was a lovely day out and we were given a lot of time and opportunities to explore.

The tour was wonderful, my only complaint is there is not enough time at each stop, it felt very rushed! Maybe make the tour 7 hours and give 15 more minutes at each stop.

This was a great tour to see some of the best natural highlights in the area. Our driver guide, Edgar was amazing - friendly, fun and knowledgeable. Might have liked to have a little more time at some of the sights but time constraints were due to cruise ship timing. Edgar did a great job of giving us as much time as possible and getting us back to the ship on time. Van was nice but leg room is a bit tight.

Excellent tour showing the highlights of the area. A little rushed in some spots, such as the waterfall especially if you wanted to walk behind the falls, 30 minutes is not enough.

Our driver/guide Daphne was fantastic. 3 passengers on our cruise were stuck on board when a gangway had to be fixed. Daphne was in constant phone contact with them and even drove the van close to where they exited to save them and us time. She was knowledgeable and bilingual. There were only 9 of us so she customized the experience for us.

The tour was very good. The places we visited are a definite must. All were spectacular. The Geyser and Waterfall were on my bucket list.
Unfortunately due to the excessive traffic the tour lasted an hour and a half longer. If you are on a cruise ship make sure you are staying overnight as you don’t want to miss departure of it.

The company provided good information regarding meeting point however it was an absolute shambles at the port , I eventfully found a guide however when he checked his list we wasn't on his list so therefor couldn't be bothered to find the other guide from the same company .
Mini bus was as expected , comfortable with WiFi .
My issue was with the guide , not engaging at all , we couldn't hear her on the bus despite advising her several times that we couldn't hear , she didn't seem to care . Flavia didn't leave the bus just told us where to go , basically it was just find stuff out for yourself . I wouldn't recommend this tour unless you get a different guide of course

We had a great time and our guide Laura was wonderful! She was very knowledgeable of Iceland. Our driver Drago was very good on the long and narrow roads. We had time to explore the different sites.

THEY DID NOT GIVE US A TOUR GUIDE! They asked the bus driver to be our guide. He tried very hard, and did his very best, but he had very, very limited English skills. So we paid for a guided tour, but got a shuttle service to our attractions.
Two ladies were late at our first attraction, so our driver skipped the last waterfall, totally without explanation or even notifying us.
The tour’s chosen lunch site was extremely crowded and chaotic. It was total bedlam.
All in all, it was a terrible tour.

We also regret that the final stop had to be omitted. Unfortunately, two travellers became separated from the group at Þingvellir, and after locating them, the schedule had to be adjusted to ensure everyone returned to the ship on time. We apologize that this was not communicated more clearly.

The tour guide was great, lots of local insight. But the van experience was… just awful. We arrived early - were the the first ones at the pick up point- but the driver arrived late and we had to rush to get seats far from where we waited. Eventually we got seats in the back of the van with limited space and no headroom with absolutely no
visibility of the countryside. Even small children might have felt squished. Everyone on board agreed that those seats should never have been sold. The only way I could see the surrounding
area was to move into the aisle and crane my neck. Not fun at all. My husband (who is only 6 feet tall and not a large man) and one other passenger got off at one point and refused to get back on..
Honestly? This is perhaps the most disappointing Viator excursion we’ve never experienced. Only giving the trip three stars became cruise guide was pretty wonderful. But we would love a refund!

Our guide did not show up, which left our bus driver to try and fill in. He tried, but clearly did not have the knowledge or experience. We also had to wait 20 minutes for two passengers which caused us to shorten our ther stops. It was disorganized from the beginning and very disappointing.

A small group of 10 in a very smart minibus with an excellent driver/guide called Alex. He drove safely while managing to tell us so much about the Golden Circle area and Iceland. He also managed to avoid the crowds at most stops.
I would thoroughly recommend this tour and Alex, in particular.

The tour was great as was our guide. However we are crammed into a tiny van. I am 5 feet and I was extremely uncomfortable. I will not use Nordur small group again. The back seat you hit your head on ceiling. Very disappointed.

This ended up being the perfect tour for us to see the Golden Circle. Our ship was not in port long enough for the longer tours. Our guide “Blu”, was very friendly and informative. She took us in the reverse order of the sights to avoid the big bus crowds. This was a plus. Scenery was stunning.

The waterfall was very beautiful and large and powerful. I would definitely recommend this excursion with viator. I was told they're going to take care of the air conditioner? The company took us three other places as well. Very nice excursion just not a very good van.
