Overview
Antelope Canyon is located within the Navajo Nation and can be visited only on guided tours. This small-group tour from Page visits both the upper and lower sections of the canyon in half a day of hiking and exploring. Arrived at the lower canyon, descend the wooden steps and ladders to explore the canyon floor and “slot” chambers. After a short snack break at the picnic area, spend a few hours hiking around the lower canyon and to the top.

Pick up from 28 select hotels/Airbnb’s and two campgrounds within City Limits of Page, Arizona, 15-20 minutes before your tour. We do not pick up from Page Lake Powell Resort. If you do not have a hotel pickup location set or plan on driving in on the day of your tour, we do ask our guest to meet us at the Walmart Super Center in Page, Arizona. Our first stop is the Lower Antelope Canyon. – Lower Antelope Canyon is a MODERATE tour for guest. You will hike 1.1 miles from start to finish (1770.27 meters). Upon entering the Canyon, you will descend 74 steps to the bottom of the Canyon Six sections of stairs will safely get you to the bottom. Once at the bottom you will hike at a gradual incline towards the exit along with stairs into each chamber of the Canyon. The tour guides will give you photo tips and information of the Slot Canyons. As well as cultural information of the Dineh. Our second portion of the tour will be at the Upper Antelope Canyon. Upper Antelope Canyon is an easy hike for guest. Transport to the entrance of the Canyon is located 4 miles from the main highway. From the drop off point at the entrance will be a 1-mile hike roundtrip (1609 meters). Upon exiting the Canyon, you will hike on an incline up and around the top of the Canyon and descend 150 steps staircase back to the vehicle drop-off point. You will do a 1-hour tour and will see the difference in the Upper and Lower Antelope Canyons. Lastly, after your tour is completed, we will drop you off back at your hotel/Airbnb location. Pick up starts 15-20 minutes before your tour time. We do multiple pick ups, so please patiently wait in the lobby and we will get to you. Dineh Tours observes Mountain Standard Time (MST)/Phoenix, Arizona on your phone. We share the same time as the City of Page, Sedona, Flagstaff, Grand Canyon, Phoenix, and Las Vegas. Guest will experience a 1-hour time change after leaving Flagstaff and Grand Canyon, as they drive through the Navajo Nation. The same for guest traveling from Las Vegas, parts of Utah State will be 1-hour ahead. This time change is noted in all your electronic devices, we suggest to manually set your time zone to Phoenix global time to avoid dealing with the time changes.

Dominic made it easy to meet up with the guides for the Upper and Lower canyons and had some interesting additional history of the area. Tevin in the Lower Canyon was fantastic, and while I've forgotten who exactly to give the shout-out for the Upper Canyon they were also great. Both canyons are spectacular. FYI for folks chasing those famous shafts of light in the Upper Canyon, July and August are the highest odds for those.

The Upper Canyon has quite a few stairs both up and down after a level slot canyon walk. Some people might have trouble with that. The information we received I thought covered that issue well. I had a complete knee surgery eight weeks before this tour and I had no trouble with the walks or the steps. But I was a little winded after the return hike after the Upper Canyon….mainly because I’m getting to be an old fart!
Our tour guides were Oren and Dana and they were excellent.

The tour was billed as a small group experience. It was not. Our own group had around 10 people, who were constantly pushed along by other groups of many people. That said, the guides were great and the sights were amazing.

As I read back people have complained about this in the past - and you should demand a change to the description as not to deceive your customers. The description of the tour is false when they say this luxury tour will be a small group when in both tours, we were given to tour groups that were the same as the general public because it looks like only guides that work for the canyon bring groups down. So, I see that we paid over $200 per person to be driven to the Canyon and got a bottle of water and two snacks. We didn't stop at the village where a bite could be purchase between the lower and upper canyon as advertised. Instead we took time to drive back to deliver a couple back to their car since they were only signed up for lower canyon. That being said our chauffer was very nice and extremely knowledgeable about the area, and showed us a movie in the van about what they need to do after a flash flood, and details about the cleanup - that was interesting. Being fair we never had to get in line and wait for tickets, he ran and organized that and he handed us off to the canyon tour guides where we had same group size as all the others that were going through the canyon.
I feel we were way overcharged for what was advertised as a small group tour!

Please do not make the mistake of thinking that this tour will somehow shield you from long lines, shoulder to shoulder crowding in the canyons, crying children, and anything individual. I feel the canyons are best experienced by not using this company. I 100% fail to see the VALUE in this specific excursion. I feel they just coordinated with other tours and took our money. I would NOT recommend this tour, and just see each canyon individually without the “assistance” of this tour. Just too greedy.

It was the most amazing experience. The pictures are remarkable a photographers dream. We had this nice Indian older lady who captured all the unique designs in the canyon walls on our phone cameras for us. It was way worth the money. I would highly recommend doing it with Your company.

Great tour but in our opinion, it was TOO expensive for what it was. Our tour guide was very nice and told us some history, drove us to lower canyon and got us situated with the canyon tour guide and then did the same at upper canyon. We would not book this way again only to save money.

Very informative to have our Dineh Tour guide giving us insight into history and culture in between the 2 canyon tours. Very convenient pickup and drop off service to start and finish our tours. No wasted time on tour entries by using the tour operator compared to waiting at each site if you purchased your own tickets.

Diner is an excellent operator. You are handed off to guides to take you through the canyons. You will see things, but not have a moment to experience anything. You can’t access upper and lower antelope Canyon without being handed off to one of these guides who will make sure you get a picture but push you through very quickly.

We had the best driver/guide Dominic he explained the Navajo traditions, he explained what to expect at each location. He made sure we had water and snacks. Preston was our guide at Lower Canyon absolutely fantastic, always making sure we were safe and explaining as we went through the Canyon. Irene was our Upper Canyon guide she was also absolutely fantastic as well. She was so awesome and took the time with each of us to take the most beautiful pictures of us as well as the Canyon. They all explained the history. We really appreciated and enjoyed all that we did that day. This was in September 2025 we started at 10am and the sunlight was perfect in both Canyon's.

Our guide was very good, sharing information about the area, getting us the tickets promptly, having snacks and water available and sharing the best way to get good pictures. I keep wondering though if it was a little overpriced. At the end of the day I do think there was value to having taken the tour and not went off on our own.

Absolutely loved our tour with our guide TIlford! He was very knowledgeable and helped us get around to ensure we say both the upper and lower antelope canyons. He even helped us setup our camera settings to ensure we got the BEST photos of the canyon. He recommended additional places for us to see which we ended up going to after our tour! A must-do to ensure you get the best out of your time in Page! It is dusty so be sure to bring a mask or facial covering during the ride to the upper canyon.

I booked though this company as a small group. I was picked up by two people who then left me another group of people. The group was not small and to me for the price payed was over crowded $412.94 for both upper and lower. I was so unhappy that I did not continue on with the other tour. I was looking forward to learning about the canyons and their heritage back ground. This was far from the case.

This tour just drops you off to other tour companies; they do not actually do anything other than drive. The description said you could get lunch at the trading post but the driver told us not to order lunch as it would take too much time. The tour company for Upper Antelope Canyon puts you in the back of an open truck and drives really fast down a super bumpy and dirty road. Then they rush you through Upper Antelope Canyon by taking pictures for you but every photo they took was blurry. So disappointing; don't waste your money with this tour! Schedule the tours separately (it's half the price) and make sure you research the vehicle they use for transport. We had people almost fall out of the back of the truck and we were all covered in dirt by the time we got to the canyon.

The canyons were wonderful. Pictures do not justify the beauty of the canyons.
But the canyon tour we experienced was very crowded - not at all what we were expecting especially since we paid a 'premium' for a 'small group' tour. We were lumped in with a regular group by the local tour company, 14 in our group in total. While that would not have been too terrible, there were groups of 12 to 15 people given entry to the canyon every 5 minutes or so. So it was a constant stream of people walking through the canyons. Unfortunately, we really did not have an opportunity to slow down to enjoy the beauty of the canyons, or really hear what the tour guide was telling us. We were always 'pushed' to keep ahead of the group coming up after us.
All in all - definitely plan to see these marvels of nature. But I would not pay a premium (again) for a 'small group' tour. I would just go direct to the Indian reservation tour company and save some money.

This tour was well organized and thought out. We appreciated the additional cultural Navajo information from Tilford. He gave us some awesome tips on camera settings to get the best shots of the Canyons and boy did those tips help out! We had an amazing time.
