This wasn’t much of a tour but an excellent history lesson. You meet up outside of the gift shop and collect a sticker. You are then taken to their classroom where you get a wonderful lesson in printing and the Hatch itself. Once the class is over you are taken out into the lobby and shown the working from outside where anyone walking the lobby could see. The print you get to make is a small poster that is premade and you only get to add one predetermined item. For the price, it was worth the hour.

Great tour

You will learn about the history of the print shop and its importance to the music world. You will make your own print to take home but it is based on their template, you won’t customize one. The educators are terrific. If you go on a weekday you can observe printers carving, mixing, and printing. And you get 10% off at the gift shop (they’ll ship for you if you do not want to carry your posters home)

Upper case & lower case! ❤️

They DO make them like they used to. A lovely demo and overview of this famous letterpress shop still in operation. Then chance to roll a third layer on a historical piece of equipment is so fun!

Art, Music & History

The tour was an interesting blend of art, music and history. My wife and I thoroughly enjoyed it; even our teenaged kids said it was good.

Fun

This turned out to be a tour I glad I did. It was very interesting learning about the history of Hatch Show Print and how the printing process works.

Awesome in-person printing experience

Pamela_G, Nov 2023
We loved learning about the history of this amazing business, and then drooled over everything in the gift shop. Such cool merch! We loved making our very own print to bring home, and then being able to observe the workers using the presses was pretty amazing. Highly recommend.

Check it out!

Super cool look at the History and Work of one of the great American institutions. Entertaining and knowledgable hosts create a fun atmosphere.

Best tour in Nashville!

Frances_V, Aug 2023
The Hatch Show Print tour is the best tour in town! The Hatch Show Print knowledgeable guides made the shop’s history interesting as well as humorous. In addition, all of the Viator personnel with whom I communicated to set up the tour were helpful and professional.

Seeing the old equipment and that they still do everything the old fashion way still. Such a precise art

Very informative and interesting!!! My kids were 17 and 21 they enjoyed it! I dont think it would be interesting for 11 and under.

Disappointed in Print

Alex_L, Jun 2022
When we arrived at the location for Hatch Show Print we were informed that they did not have our reservations. This left us with a morning with nothing planned on a busy holiday weekend.

Hatched Fun

Lynne_B, May 2022
Very interesting. We had enthusiastic guides that were excited to explain the techniques used to make posters

Cool experience

Lynn_S, Oct 2021
This was a cool experience. Interesting to see how the Hatch print works. I thought we were going to design our own poster at the end but that would have been very difficult now that I know how it works 🤪 It was fun to do the last process on the Souvenir Poster.

We were not allowed in

Ron_P, Apr 2021
We were not admitted because they said we needed to call them to reserve. Nothing said that in my confirmation. We brought a teen who only wanted to do hatch in Nashville. I talked to the head of reservations who was very nice but could not exceed head count. We need to get full refund plus!!!

Very cool thing to do while in Nashville

Making your own print on the old press was very cool. It was also cool to learn about the history of Hatch Print. The guides were awesome, knowledgeable and very nice.

Scam?!?

TimothyDitchley, Jan 2021
The site sold us tickets that were not available and have not responded to requests for a refund. Would nit recommend.

Great history lesson that pertains to printing, Nashville, music. Wished we could have made a personal print.

Alright

Brittany_B, Aug 2019
Lots of information, was neat to see but the tour felt a little long drawn out. Would have liked it better if it was a little more interactive with the sign making rather than standing or sitting and listening for most of the time.
