What To Expect
The Country Music Hall of Fame® and Museum is the home for this popular American art form, safeguarding over 2.5 million artifacts, and featuring two expansive floors of gallery space, highlighting permanent and limited-engagement exhibitions.
Touring the two floors of the Museum’s gallery spaces, guests follow the evolution of country music, within the context of American history.
Visitors experience that evolution through a diverse mix of displayed artifacts, video footage, and carefully selected sound recordings. Biographical panels and audio tours tell the stories of those who have shaped the music, from Jimmie Rodgers to Hank Williams, through Johnny Cash and Dolly Parton, to Garth Brooks and Reba McEntire, and beyond.
Many artifacts from today’s groundbreaking artists such as Taylor Swift, Luke Bryan, Carrie Underwood, and Keith Urban are on display in the contemporary gallery space. Visitors of all ages can discover connections between country music’s past and artists of today, and have the chance to engage with interactive stations. Highlights include recording and songwriting areas, a forty-foot guitar, music trivia, and more.
The museum offers amazing tour experiences and opportunities to play an instrument, enjoy an archived film, or hear live music from country legends and renowned songwriters, with over 250 programs and activities each year.
Four unique shops—The Museum Store, Circa, Hatch Show Print, and the Haley Gallery—located on the property offer a great selection of books and music, museum souvenirs, original artwork, locally-made gifts, and country lifestyle apparel. Also, be sure to grab a bite to eat at one of our three restaurants—2|22, Red Onion, and Bajo Sexto Taco.

Lots to look at and lots to learn. Interactive displays and videos to watch. Spent 2 hours on our own thru museum. People were very friendly and helpful. Bathrooms on all floors and be sure to visit the gift shop and watch for deals. Outside they have schools come and perform in the little nook area which is pretty neat for local schools to be recognized. Easy in and out of museum. A win win for a nice tour of history.

Beautiful displays and a great layout and flow. I like the variety of old and new artists in the museum.

The museum was staged very well acoustically. Things were arranged in time order. The continously running tv snippets were fun. Unfortunately, family problems caused us to leave after a short time.

Wonderful experience. Took us about close to 4 hrs to go through the museum. It’s a must for music lovers.

Great place A lot walking A lot to see
It tells a story of country music. We would go back take uber or lift to this location or any thing in downtown Nashville

They shouldn’t charge 2 separate charges for visiting the ryman and then another charge for going backstage and seeing the dressing rooms it should just be one charge it’s not worth it
