Very friendly greeting upon arrival. The catamaran was immaculately clean! The captain and first mate were very nice and kept us informed. The drinks were plentiful and they even served them to us. We collected so many beautiful shells. I highly recommend this experience. My friend and both said that we just wished they offer longer excursions. Definitely do this if you’re looking for a beautiful experience on the Gulf!

The activity was a lot of fun. Beautiful views and fun in the water and on Keyweeden. The crew was really fun and friendly.

Pros- awesome boat and very personable and attentive crew - 2 . We did a 10 am ride and when I questioned starting drinking at that hour, they said it’s always Saturday afternoon once on the boat, lol. So free drinks, nice bathroom, great ride.
Con’s- understand that you have to swim to shore to get any shells you may want. You are given a regular plastic store bag to collect the shells in. Bring your own mess bag. You are in 6 feet of water when you start swimming the 50 yards or so to the shore. Not a lot of time on the beach, and it was pretty crowded. We have done different rides that take you to a more private beach with better shell collection.

When we were told a sailing and walk on the beach for 35 minutes for shells we were not told a swim from the boat in windy conditions was going to happen. we assumed it would be close enough if not at shore to get off and walk. Two of us could not make that swim. Another cool beans boat docked on the other side of the island where they walked off. I was not happy that my wife and daughter in law could not experience the beach. Would never do it again or suggest to others. For fun with Family and kids go to Pop Stroke in Ft Myers!

Thank you for booking a cruise on our 20-passenger catamaran ‘’Cool Beans". (This is NOT a private cruise). Please present your Booking ID to the Captain for Proof of Purchase.
Our crew works very hard to give you the best experience possible. They do accept and appreciate gratuity. If you enjoy your experience, please show the crew your appreciation😊
PLEASE ARRIVE at our Marina no later than 15 minutes prior to your cruise time for boarding.
Included in your charter is Soda, Water, Beer & Chardonnay ( + champagne toast for sunset cruise). You may bring your own snacks and/or beverages BUT NO Hard Alcohol or Red Wine.
If you have booked our 2.5 hr. day sail, we do incorporate approx. 35 minutes of your charter for swimming/shelling at a barrier island, Keeywaydin based on weather conditions. If it is too rough/choppy in the Gulf , the Captain may choose not to include a stop at the beach. Also know that to get to shore, you must swim in. We drop anchor in approx. 6 feet of water, approx. 30 yards offshore. Life jackets and floaties provided if needed)

These guys are awesome!! We loved Dan & Kyle…who took us out, and Linda and Dave were great too!! From start to finish..everything was organized, and everyone was super knowledgeable and friendly. By the end, we all felt like friends!! We will definitely be back..it was a perfect day on the water!! Highly recommend.

False advertising. I love the water and have done tons of these type of trips all over Florida, Mexico and Caribbean. It's a Catamaran that doesn't sail, which is understandable if there is no wind, but this trip was actually scheduled during low tide, so the trip advertised that we thought we were going on was not available. We spent a whole 13 minutes puttering across the bay to a sandbar and dropped anchor. We left the dock at 10:17 and dropped anchor at 10:30. When my friend who is a local asked the captain about the 'sail' he insisted it was 45 minutes long. "45 minutes there, 45 minutes back." Not only did he blatantly lie about the time, Captain Dan yelled at her and mocked her for asking. It was shocking and his treatment of Kelly scared my daughter. And I was shocked into silence, and did not stand up for my friend. The mother of one of the other families on the boat apologized to us, stating she had the same question, but now was AFRAID to ask. And yes, we understand if there is no wind, you cannot sail, but seriously, tidal tables are available up to 2 years in advance, so why advertise a certain trip and set the time for when you know you can't ACTUALLY do the trip. For $40 less, we could have done the same trip on a motor boat at a different location at a different time with a nicer crew. (Side note, the guy who passed out soda, water and beer was very nice, but the trip also advertised free snacks.). Of note, we did a different trip the next day with a different company and had an amazing experience.

After reading your review of your trip with us, I’ll address your complaints.
We advertise a daytime 2 1/2 hour long cruise with the option of stopping at a beach.
On that morning the tide was too low to go to keewadin island so we went to tiger tail beach where our guests went swimming. After coming back to the vessel(which this person was very late coming back), we went SAILING in the gulf of America (approximately 1 hour-ish).
On the way to the beach, the captain answered a question regarding the itinerary. After the answer was given, this person went up to the mate and asked the same question. (Maybe thinking there would be a different answer?)
At no time did the captain yell at anybody.
The guests seemingly had no issue with the crew as this person’s daughter sat talking with the captain for most of the trip. The captain even complemented her on her maturity.
Apparently the other guests found no issue with the captain as well as they asked for pictures with him.
In conclusion:
We advertise 2 1/2 hour long daytime sailing charters with beach as an option.
We did that.
The captain never yelled at our guests.
We do not advertise free snack. If you go onto trip advisors website for our charters there is an option for drinks. With a checkmark by it.
There is an option for snacks. There is an X next to it.
That means no snack.
There is no false advertising on any level.

The staff served up drinks (soda,wine, and beer)! but the Captain didn’t play any music or seem concerned about customers having a fun time. It was just average. I was disappointed and will use a different company next time. Boat was nice. Sunset sail probably better.

The only thing that may have occurred is if you sit in the cockpit where the Captain located, you will not hear the music. Our music is played towards the front of the boat. We don’t play music in the cockpit so that the Captains attention is on the customers and communicating with the First Mate.

Great sail with Capt Patrick. We saw lots of dolphins swimming near the boat. Lot of amazing shells in the shallows. Bring your own mesh bag and be prepared to really swim to the beach. It was 15-20 yds. Get the floatie!

Absolute must! Our captain Patrick and Kyle were so much fun! We were fortunate enough to see dolphins, stingrays and turtles! Not to mention the beach! Beautiful white sand and crystal clear blue waters! If you are hesitating on booking this, don’t!!!

The boat is clean and so beauties with a crew Ray can’t be beat! The Guys made it fun and relaxing. Their service is excellent. The area we sailed is spectacular- the best of Florida with its gorgeous serene turquoise waters and stunning homes along the shore. I enjoyed having a few free beers while sitting on the front of the catamaran in the gorgeous sun. We saw a lot of dolphins— an added bonus!

Captain Dan and Magic Mike are Awesome!! This is the second year we have done this cruise and it was so fun!! They are very personable and the group of people on board is small, so it doesn't feel crowded and you get to know each other. 💯 Recommend. The shells on the beach they drop you off near are awesome also!
