Did not see any manatee or marine life except for little minnows. Did see pelicans and other birds. Kayaking and relaxing at the beach was fun. Zack & the other guys who set us up for our excursion were knowledgeable and helpful

Very friendly staff. I appreciated the option to cancel (for refund) as we had a random cold front come thru (with small craft advisory). My son and I stayed on the ‘safe’ path to the barrier island and had an amazing time. The shells and wildlife were ethereal. Highly recommend!

Very easy put-in. Kayaks were in very nice shape. We schedule a 2 hour paddle through the mangroves, and it was very enjoyable. We did get a little lost in one channel, and had to back track causing us to be 15 minutes late. I called to let them know we would be a little late. They were very understanding, and told me no problem. In the future, I would schedule a 3 hour trip.

It was a last minute idea for my family of four. We were vacationing in Fort Myers and this was only a short drive. Easy meet and greet and we were off on our single kayaks. Beautiful trip through the mangroves and then out to a sandbar and beach area. Loved shell collecting there because the water was warm (January). We saw many birds of prey and saw an iguana in the tree. Two hours seemed too short. Would take this same trip again next time and go the longer way around. It was very peaceful and nice enjoying the water without a guide. .

We had a great time kayaking hickory key. it was our first time going in a clear kayak and we had an amazing time! they helped us get in and out. we had a 3pm reservation and got to swim at the beach during our time.

What a wonderful, fun 2 hours spent in nature with my family! This company made the experience super easy and was quite affordable. We chose the 3-5pm trip so we could appreciate the late day sun (in December) the paddle through the mangroves was really cool. Highly recommend.

If you tent at low tide, some channels through the mangroves may be too shallow to paddle. Other channels have sandbars at low tide where you can get stuck, even if you paddle in the middle. At low tide that is moving out, the water can be cloudy not allowing for the intended use of a clear-bottom kayak. Saw roseate spoonbills, egrets, pelicans and hawks.

Unfortunately we cannot control the tides and had some very low unusual tides in December. We do say on our website that the best time for the clear kayaks is during high tide. Sorry it wasn't ideal conditions during your time on the water, but we hope you still enjoyed our beautiful area for kayaking.

The area was beautiful but we were the last ones out for the day and they ran out of maps.. so we had to keep pulling out our phones to see where to go. It would have been nice to have them tell us that going the full route with paddle boards is very difficult. There were high winds in deep open water and I barely made it back. Also the water is not as clear as it is in the photos. And definitely not teaming with manatees. We didn’t see any.

Jamie, We are sorry to hear your experience with us wasn't as you expected. Thanksgiving is one of our busiest times so we are sorry we ran out of maps for your group. It's amazing how many of them do not get returned to us which causes us frustration as well. We did have some windy days during this period which can make paddling on a paddleboard a bit harder than normal, but that is out of our control. We do state on our website that the manatee for typically seen April-Sept. when the water is warmer. Also, the pictures on our website are real pictures that were taken in our area. Water clarity is dependent on the winds and the tides so it is not always clear all day.

The people are great and the equptment is fine. It was disappointing to not see much wildlife. Maybe the wrong time of year or day.

Sorry Peggy that the wildlife wasn't in the area. We normally see dolphins on our tours and well as lot of birds. The manatee are normally in the area during April-Sept as posted on our website. Come see us again in the summer for a better chance of seeing them.
