Review from my fiancé who was able to go: Absolutely worth it! I went solo for this experience, and was lucky to be part of such a friendly group. Chef Arantxa was lovely and so accommodating and I learned a lot from her. The food was delicious. The market experience was also something i enjoyed a lot. Will definitely recommend this to friends.

What a wonderful experience! Our guide/chef was Arantxa with Devour Tours and she was amazing. Such great energy and deep knowledge of culinary history not just in Madrid but throughout Spain. It was fun to walk through the market, learn about the different ingredients, and even buy some smoked paprika to take back home with us. Then to the gorgeous kitchen we would be working in. A dream kitchen! We didn't just watch and listen ... she put us to work! It was a fully participatory experience ... we cooked tapas while tasting delicious wine and vermouth. Met lovely people who were also guests on the tour and had such an amazing time!

Nice clean professional cooking class room. Informative but rather too formal for truly learning Spanish cooking. You don't get to cook your own dishes but you participate with a bit of chopping and a bit of stirring of the cook's main dishes. Would have been better if dishes were made more personally by between 2 people. Otherwise still fun with our friends.

Daniel is an energetic and knowledgeable guide and chef! Visiting the market first, and picking up some of our ingredients added to the experience. More important than the recipes, we learned new cooking techniques that make a really great food.

We had a lot of fun and the food tasted delicious. Daniel was a very good host. The one problem was, we did not receive the recipes to anything. If you go to his class, make sure you get the recipe before leaving.

Danielle was very knowledgeable and actually taught us something, which was great compared to another cooking class I took in Colorado. It was also a very fun experience as our group was really friendly. The food was great as well! The only thing I didn’t like is at the end, while eat my paella, I looked up to do something. When I looked down at my plate of paella it was gone! I had no time to eat my paella! And I think they just threw it away , not sure. I just wish they would have asked me if I would like to take it with me.

The host canceled our activity and we were provided with an option to visit and eat Spanish cuisine, however, we were not interested in visiting and eating Spanish cuisine, but rather we wanted to learn how to cook Paella. We were a bit disappointed and did not opt in for the option provided.
