We had a great experience on this tapas and wine tour. Mario, our guide, was friendly, on time, and very engaging throughout the evening. He made the group feel comfortable right away and shared interesting insights without overwhelming us.
The spots we visited were well chosen and gave a good mix of local flavor and atmosphere. Everything felt well-paced, and it was a fun way to experience different parts of Madrid.
Overall, I really enjoyed the tour and would definitely recommend it to anyone looking for a relaxed, social way to explore the city’s food scene.

Mario was amazing! He was truly lovely and provided an amazing experience. A bit disappointed that we didn’t follow the itinerary that was in the notes for booking (no garlic shrimp in clay pots, a huge staple and our favorite from our previous trip in Madrid). I know it was a Friday, so crazy busy and a lot of walking in between stops. We hit almost 10K steps just in this excursion. For us, totally fine, thankfully. I think it could have been quite difficult for others. Again, Mario was amazing. That said, we met amazing people, and that’s what we will remember.

This was an excellent experience. Augustin was a great guide and had a lot of good insight into the city for first time visitor. The food was great and the portions were very well balanced so that you didn’t leave hungry.

The food selection for the stops was very good. We enjoyed our tour guide Mario a lot. He made the tour fun and interesting! I highly recommend this tour if you have the time while in Madrid.

Antonio was our guide and walked us through neighborhoods, stopping to give a short talk about the significance of what we were seeing. He’s very knowledgeable but didn’t overwhelm us with too much history which was perfect. The places where we stopped for tapas were in unique settings, such as walking downstairs several levels to where we were below the Plaza Mayor. The tapas themselves were quite amazing and plentiful, with stuffed mushrooms, grilled peppers, chorizo, braised beef in wine, and much more. Alcoholic offerings were included with each stop. The final rooftop views at sunset were lovely. Come hungry!

Antonio was fantastic. The food and locations chosen were great. I really appreciate that. He took us to places that we wouldn’t have found on our own. The tour was a good mixture of history and culture.

Fantastic experience! The tapas was some of the best we had during our visit, and the four tapas bars we went to each had their own unique vibe. Our guides, Mario and Augustino, were knowledgeable, kind, and fun to be around. They went above and beyond to make this experience positive for all guests! During our walks from place to place, the guides took their time to teach us a little about the city, neighborhood, and culture. They were engaging and happily answered questions and shared their love of Madrid! I would highly recommend this experience for others visiting Madrid!

Excellent tour with Mario! We only had one day in Madrid and this experience was perfect for giving us a true Madrid Tapas and Wine with lots of history and great people in our group! Highly, highly recommend! Mario’s Madrid Food & Wine Tour was hands-down one of the highlights of our trip to Spain. From the moment the tour began, Mario made everyone feel like old friends exploring the city together rather than tourists on a scheduled outing. Our guide was wonderful. Friendly, knowledgeable and helpful. The food and drink were excellent. The final stop was a rooftop bar. That location was a little disappointing. The view was better on the opposite side of the area (where the pool is), but we only discovered it by accident.

My friend and I took this tour our first full day in Madrid, and I’m so glad we did. Our tour guide Agustine, was very fun and engaging, was knowledgeable about the city and its food scene, and seemed to have great relationships with the restaurant management. Food and drink were plentiful, enough for a full meal when all combined. My favorite was the rooftop bar which was the final stop of the night. Highly recommend.

This tapas and wine tour was well worth it even though we’ve traveled Spain in the past. Abel was a fantastic guide. The variety of tapas and the matching wine selections were excellent! Also got some insight on the local food history. Definitely recommend taking advantage of this tour.

I can thoroughly enjoyed this tour Abel, our tour guide was fantastic. It was great fun and the couple restaurants we went to were great. There were a couple stops for history, which was good and interesting. . I would not call this a tour with rooftop views at the end you end at a rooftop, but it is not a tour of rooftops with wine and tapas. .

I expected more based on prior reviews - the tapas were good but I expected a more engaging experience. The guide was nice but I didn’t feel like I learned much and wasn’t clear was the particular stops/restaurants were chosen.

Nice experience but if you don’t eat shellfish or pork not the tour for you. We expressed food limitation before and were told there would be other options. But was basically only given cheese and crackers as substitutions.

“Rooftop” was not really accurate. Only one stop was a rooftop and it was the last one. Probably would’ve been better to start with that while we still had daylight and could enjoy the view. Some good tapas along the way but not really any explanation of the wines/drinks. Also think the group was too large (17 people).

This tour was fun from start to finish! Mario was a most excellent guide-he filled the time with the history of Madrid and made the tour feel like hanging out with friends. The food was delicious. We never felt rushed, loved that each place we stopped was ready for the group with a place we could sit, eat, and get to know the other people in our group. Would recommend this tour to anyone new to the city and would definitely recommend Mario as your guide.

It was a fun and informative way to learn the culture and the history of the city. We had plenty of amazing food and wine. Our guide Augustin did a wonderful job. He was able to give us the exact recommendations we were looking for. Throughout the duration of the tour he kept us laughing and having good conversations. In all it was the perfect way to spend our evening and we owe that to our guide!
