Amazing and informative tour. I wanted to learn more about Spanish wine and was not disappointed. Muna was a perfect guide. The wineries we visited were authentic real deal. Great value for the money as we were giving more than enough wine to drink and tapas along the way. Highly recommend!

Itinerary

Ensure you have a hearty breakfast to prepare for your tastings. Make your way to the central Madrid meeting point, board your air-conditioned minivan, and note the contrast in scenery as you venture into the countryside.

Listen as your guide offers information about the wine-making traditions of the region. Then arrive in the heart of Vinos de Madrid, Madrid’s principal wine-making area.

Visit three of the region’s contemporary and classic wineries, all of which are nestled amid sprawling vineyards and boast gorgeous views of the picturesque mountain perimeter. The selection changes, but may well include one of Madrid’s oldest wineries, a winery with cave cellars and clay fermentation, and a fifth-generation family estate that also produces olive oil.

Over the course of the day, expect to sample more than 10 different wines, including local signatures such as full-bodied tempranillo reds and fruity, tangy malvar whites. Enjoy signature nibbles such as Ibérico ham and local cheeses.

Return to your minivan when the tour concludes and enjoy the scenic journey back to Madrid.

Great wine tour with Antonio! Antonio is such a joy and his wine knowledge is off the charts. He has a laid back way that makes him so fun all the while teaching all things wine in a very approachable way. His wit and humor made this day super fun. The 3 wineries were beautiful and the wine pours were more like glasses vs samples. The tapas were delicious and paired well with the wine. Our group was 15 and everyone was a blast. So fun to make new friends while tasting new wines. Would def recommend this tour!

This was a great time. Enrique our guide was AWESOME!! Very knowledgeable and funny. Our tour was a blast! Highly recommend

Response from Host, Jul 2026

Thank you for choosing our winery tour and for recommending it! Enrique loves sharing the stories behind the wines and making the journey entertaining along the way, so we're happy to hear he made such a strong impression. We hope the bottles and memories you took home will remind you of your day in Madrid's wine country for a long time.

Highly recommend, Book Now!

Muna was our grave guide. She was beyond informative about everything! We visited three family owned wineries and it was the trip of a lifetime. Beyond anything I would’ve imagined. The portions of wine was way plenty. The tapas were delicious. I was stranded in France and this was a spur of the moment decision between changing towns and hotels. I’m so glad we decided to book this tour. We were even able to buy wine as olive oil to bring home. VERY AFFORDABLE I MIGHT ADD. Book this now, you will not be disappointed!

Response from Host, Jul 2026

Thank you for taking the chance on us after your unexpected travel change! It's fantastic to know the day turned into such a memorable part of your trip. We'll be sure Muna sees your kind words, and we're especially happy you enjoyed discovering three very different family wineries, along with the wines, tapas, olive oil, and everything that makes this region so special. Safe travels, and enjoy those bottles when you open them back home!

Must Do!

Shannon_C, Jul 2026
What wonderful family owned wineries. Each was unique and beautiful and each family represented their brands in such a special way - especially with the tapas that accompanied the wine tasting. Enrique our guide was very knowledgeable and helpful translating through out the day.

Response from Host, Jul 2026

Thank you for such a thoughtful review. Sharing the stories behind these family-run wineries is one of the most rewarding parts of the day, and we're delighted you enjoyed meeting the people behind the wines as much as the tastings themselves.

Three Great Wineries & an Amazing Guide

Christine_M, Jun 2026
Amazing experience!! I’ve done a few Buy a Tour tours now, and this has definitely been the best one so far. Enrique was our guide, and he took us to three amazing wineries. There was no pressure to buy anything—you can simply relax and enjoy the experience. We did end up buying some wine, and we found the shipping to the USA to be very reasonably priced—ours was less than €100. He was very knowledgeable, his English was clear and easy to understand, and he made the day even better. I’m really glad we got him as our guide! There were 12 of us in the group, and by the end of the tour we’d all gotten to know each other, which made the experience even more memorable. The first winery was at the actual vineyard where the grapes are grown, while the other two were tasting rooms in charming little towns. It was a great mix and made the experience even more memorable.

Wonderful

We love that you enjoyed seeing so many different sides of the winemaking process, from the vineyards and production methods to the historic cellars. It sounds like a wonderful day of learning, tasting, and discovering the wine region around Madrid. Thank you for your review!

This experience was fantastic! The guide Enrique was very communicative, friendly and very knowledgeable. The wineries were all great! We tried about nine wines and each winery served quite a bit of food as well. The foods and wines were all delicious!

Lost Phone.

maxmyers10, May 2026
Great, except Linda lost her phone during this travel experience. Otherwise all was first class. Bravo.

It started rough…. It finished great

Jason_J, May 2026
Well…. This was going to be a barn burner and me going ham being angry. We were left at the starting point because the guide forgot us after we checked in. We were furious. The tour turned around and got us. After I stewed in my juices for about a hour we got to the first winery. The tour guide approached us and apologized several times and even bought us a bottle of wine. The rest of the tour was amazing and I highly recommend. This goes to show that when something starts bad it can end up excellent.

Response from Host, May 2026

Hello! Thank you so much for sharing your experience with us. First of all, we’d like to offer our sincere apologies once again for that difficult start. We completely understand your initial frustration: being left behind after checking in isn’t the best way to start the day, and we’re truly sorry for the stress it caused you. However, we’re glad that our guide handled the situation well and that the rest of your guided tour of the wineries in the Madrid countryside was incredible. Thank you for your kindness, your patience, and for joining us. We hope to welcome you back in the future so you can enjoy a flawless experience from start to finish! Best regards.

Knowledgeable tour guide and great wines!

Chelsea_K, Apr 2026
Our tour guide was great! The wineries were so interesting, we saw parts of the wine making process we've never seen before! The wine options were great and the bottles available for purchase were very affordable with reasonable shipping to America! The food was good, but didn't feel like enough for a whole meal like mentioned. We were happy we ate a big breakfast and got an actual lunch after the tour.

Muna is incredible. You can’t miss this!

taragholmes, Apr 2026
This was the absolute most amazing tour. I have been on so many wine tours and this one was incredible. You visit 3 family wineries in the most gorgeous country side. The wine is delicious as is the food and also Muna our guide was so knowledgeable and a delight to be around. She knew everyone like they were her family. Highly highly recommend. Can’t wait to bring friends back again!

Great fun

Neal_L, Apr 2026
We had a group of about 18. They were adults mostly in their mid 40 or 50s with us bringing up the rear at late 70s. There was plenty to eat and drink and both were pretty decent. It was easy walking with the exception of a couple of flights of stairs into the wine cave. Note: meet in front of the hotel and not the cafeteria.

Marvelous Muna!

rebecca_m, Apr 2026
Muna was a great tour guide. Took us to 3 different wineries, each with different characteristics, different wines. We had a small group which was just enough to share the experience and still small enough to feel like a personal tour. Muna was very friendly, excited to share her knowledge and loves her job. Thanks for a wonderful day.

The best excursion ever!

Ulla_P, Apr 2026
Worth of the money. The timetable was perfect and the guide (Ismael) was very professional. The variety of the wineries was good, little different from each other.

Access exclusive, small batch wines made from local grapes. Meet the families and hear their histories. Learn about cave, clay and bottling traditions. Each stop includes at least three wines and delightful food pairings!

This was a great day to spend with Muna. She is very knowledgable and has a wonderful relationship with the owners and operator of these unique heritage wineries, run by family. The tapas pairings were delicious and the wine selections were fab. This was a fun way to learn about traditional and modern wine-making. See if you can get Muna.
