We had an amazing time. Countryside was absolutely beautiful architectural designs were incredible. Our only regret was we were only there for one day Could easily spend weeks there. Highly recommend if in Europe to visit Edinburgh.

Walking is extremely difficult. Over a mile an extreme incline to reach castle. Hop on hop off bus ride was OK but it was so crowded. We didn’t use it hardly at all. Food on train was disgusting. Don’t waste your money on first class bring your own food.

The train had a delay and we had on 4hrs to explore. We couldn’t go into the castle because the road was closed and there were family members who couldn’t do the long hike up to the castle. Waste of money for such a short time. Just buy a train ticket and go on your own time.

The experience in Edinburgh was great, especially during the holiday season. The only shortcoming was actual time available in Edinburgh. The four hour train ride each way ate up a lot of time. This did not include riding the underground to get to and from the hotel to the train. Reality was only approximately five hours in Edinburgh. We loved the castle and went there first. Afterwards we found a nice pub and had lunch. We then walked the town a little and spent a fair amount of time in the Christmas village. Due to time constraints we then had to consider getting back to the train station for the 5pmish return train ride. Due to time constraints we never got to use the hop on hop off buses. While we really enjoyed the experience I would definitely do more precise time planning on exactly what else to see beyond the castle. Overall we were glad to have done this.

Great experience from start to finish. Train was smooth, slight delay due to an accident but we were well informed and moving quickly. Edinburgh is beautiful I opted to walk vs bus as city is so convenient. Glad I went!

The train rides from London to Edinburgh were way too long and tiresome. My family and I were a bit lost at first with the directions. However we really enjoyed the trip and the scenery in Edinburgh is breathtaking. The hop on hop off rides were great though the timings were too short to cover all the places as we have to rush back to the station for our train ride back to London. Overall, we love it. There was a slight delay with our return train ride.

Great experience. Easy to transfer using the Underground to get to Kings Cross Station. Hop on Hop Off bus had all the stops required to see Edinburgh and its castle. Train ride was comfortable. Able to see much of England’s country & costal side.

Had a great time on this trip. The hop on hop off bus came with headphones that you could plug in to learn about the history of the city. Edinburg Castle was also lovely. The only downside is that we spend 9 hours in the train but only 6 hours in Edinburgh. I wish I had time to go to Dynamic Earth or one of the other museums.

Do not get 1st class. If a couple, you share a table wiyh 2 others. Fight for leg room all the way there. Not worth it. The time in Edinburgh is way to short with 8 hours on the train. Bearly get to see anything but the castle.

Even though most of the castle was closed due to a “police incident “, what little we saw was wonderful! The entire city of Edinburgh is gorgeous even in the rain! Also Viator returned part of the entry fee without being asked due to the incident. Viator has always been the best!

On Saturday October 21st, I was scheduled to take a first class train w/reserved seat to Edinburgh. Once in Edinburgh I was to have a ticket on a hop on/hop off bus, then an entry ticket to Edinburgh Castle. Storm Bebet was pounding Edinburgh. The train I was supposed to be on was overbooked. I had a reserved seat, but someone else was sitting in it. They also had a ticket for the same train, same seat. Cancelled trains caused them to overbook. Edinburgh Castle was closed that day and I don't know what was up with the Hop on Hop off Bus. So, I couldn't get transportation to Edinburgh due to "Fear of Death" travel warnings. Edinburgh Castle was closed. Viator is refusing to refund my money.

We really enjoyed this tour. There is a lot to see in Edinburgh in just one day, but we were able to see everything we wanted to. There was good communication with the tour company. The only issue we had was with the vouchers that we were provided with. We would arrive at a venue and provide them with the vouchers, only to find out that they needed to be printed before being used. Since we didn’t get the links for the vouchers until we were on our trip, we were unable to print anything before going. Everything worked out though the way that it should have. Would definitely recommend!

Read this adventure details carefully we new going into this it was an unguided tour and was perfectly fine with that.
First and biggest issue was the train seats they chose for us were rear facing on both trips there and back meanwhile they coaches were relatively empty so we relocated ourselves. If you book this trip on your own you can choose much better seating.
The Hop on Hop off bus pass completely useless just not enough time to even consider using it.
Edinburgh castle was enjoyable but exchanging your voucher for a ticket was not clearly explained in the information packet so we had to get assistance for local staffing.
I would not do this tour again nor would I recommend it to a friend.

The castle museum was very interesting and the bus tour guides friendly and helpful.
Communication as to the exact train station in relation to the other stations was confusing.
I did not receive our downloads of the actual tickets for the train, bus and castle. I had to call after already purchasing another 2 train tickets to get the situation resolved. This was very distressing and a huge cost. However, once I was able to contact the vendor to address this error… progress was made and issue was resolved. To have avoided this situation prior to potentially missing out train would have been much more clear. Train personnel don’t have knowledge to effectively help with these scenarios. Overall improvement in communication with clients throughout process leading up to use of tickets would be ideal.

This is my first time using Victor, I did not know what to expect but I loved it. I got all the documents, tickets, etc. within 24 hours before my scheduled trip. The hop-on hop-off bus selected was great, I learned so much during the drive around the city. I got to see the castle, well worth including entry into the castle with my trip. The only issue I have is the time for the return ticket back to London Kings Cross. It would have been great if we had time to see some of the other sites that were recommended. There is so much to see in the castle, that it was difficult for us to make stops at the other sites and make it back to the train station for our 17:30 train back. Overall, I would definitely recommend this trip to friends and I might even do it again in the future.
