What To Expect
Experience the Tower of London’s long and stormy history. Make your own way to the Tower and, once inside, join a tour led by a Yeoman Warder, or Beefeater. Learn the Tower’s origin story of 1066 and how it evolved from William the Conqueror's stronghold to a royal palace, armory, royal mint, prison and gruesome execution place.
Pass under the famous ravens that perch near Wakefield Tower and lose yourself in myth and history as you visit the White Tower and its Royal Armouries collection, the Bloody Tower and Traitors’ Gate. Hear the tale of Anne Boleyn, Henry VIII's unfortunate second wife, who passed through Traitors’ Gate in 1536 and was quickly tried for adultery and executed. Walk to Tower Gate, the execution site where Boleyn and many others met their fateful ends.
Despite its chilling reputation, the Tower of London has also been the cradle for the British Crown Jewels since the 14th century. Get a close-up look at this remarkable regalia, the ultimate symbol of the British monarchy and the centerpiece of coronations since 1661. Don’t miss the famous 105.6-carat Koh-i-Noor diamond.
After you've visited the major sites, stroll along the Wall Walk and head into the Medieval Palace to admire the beautifully reconstructed spaces.

Lines looked extremely long upon arrival, but much to my surprise the lines moved quickly and efficiently. The " Crown Jewels " were the highlight of the tour and worthwhile.
Very good experience. We enjoyed the exhibits in the Crown Jewels. The history of the tower was very interesting.
Rough walkways, if mobility impaired. Lots of steps to see it all. Do not need to do stairs to see Crown Jewels.
Taking this tour with a member of the wardens of the Tower was truly a privilege. It’s so informative with just the right touch of British humor
Not a lot of walking but can be a lot of stairs. Full of History and great camera shots. Recommend following the Beefeater for more history.
Great experience. Could spend the whole day here. The guides in the grounds had amazing knowledge. The history is incredible. Totally worthwhile.
The tickets get you inside to see everything, but there is no guide. Be sure to take the Beefeater tour and see the Crown Jewels. We were fortunate to observe the changing of the guard at the door to the jewel tower/vault. Don’t miss seeing the London Tower!
There’s so much to see we ran out of time to see it all and take in the details. The whole site is amazing.
Good collection of jewels from all around the world, but its little expensive £38, I would still say it's quite unique in that it's a ancient building but its expensive tickets
You may wish to devote several hours for this tour. The yeomen have wonderful stories and are very entertaining. Alot to see!
We loved our time at the tower. This ticket allowed us to go straight to the line, easy entrance. We checked with the Yaoman tour schedule - definitely take advantage of this!! Allow 2+ hours to explore the site.
a fun and easy way to learn a little about the tower, i knew nothing about it going in and felt it was the perfect amount to understand an overview of the history
You will not be met by a Victor guide for this tour, this is a General Admission ticket for the Yeoman Tour, only. This is not made clear when you purchase the ticket.
Hard to hear beefeater on your. They need microphones. Lots of uneven terrain and stairs. Lots to see.
Fun morning exploring and learning. So many things to see. Especially enjoyed the Crown Jewels and armor.
The Crown Jewels portion was interesting and informative. The rest of the attraction was a bit less than expected.
Great tour! The Yeomen always do an amazing job! Best to go early AM so as to beat the crowds. Very worth the money.
Entertaining yeoman tells stories of beheadings and executions at the Tower. Interesting to hear they live there within the walls!
Museum was easy to navigate with a great collection and info. A nice collection of Crown Jewels. The layout was easy to follow to see everything.
Nice relaxing day out of London. The boat ride was very pleasant. Clean and spacious boat with friendly boat staff.
Group too large - hard to hear your guide

Great to see Crown Jewels and White Tower. Crowded but still worth the visit. Can spend as much or as little time as you want.
A very good day out.
Would highly recommend it.

They did a really great job making it interesting for kids and engaging. The YW was excellent and the grounds are very easy to self navigate.
Self guided. Entrance tickets. Simple. Efficient. Just as advertised. The site itself is very interesting with lots of historical relevance.
Never got in. Viator tix weren’t allowed to enter even though correct date. Very disappointing. However this is first time that’s happened w Viator. I’d still use them anywhere.
Lots to see and the tour with the yeoman was great! We went in August and it was extremely crowded. Viewing the crown jewels was somewhat of a challenge because of the amount of us there.
Interesting experience. The headphones fit poorly so it’s hard to hear the information unless you hold them to your head with your hands. I would think the beefeater tour would be much better. The amount of history is amazing and the exhibits are good. Plan to spend at least 2 hours and most likely more.
A fun and informative tour with a Beefeater! We had a great time learning about the gruesome past of the Tower.
This was a fun excursion. Lots of walking and beautiful things to see. Experience the beauty of the jewels.
