Jack the Ripper

Our tour guide Gabby was extremely knowledgeable and took us to the sites where the murders occurred and even to streets that still represented what the neighborhood looked like in 1888. She gave us very good sense of what the victims’ lives were like and provided and a good deal of background about them. There is a lot of walking involved and because of the subject matter there are very gruesome details and photos included, so it’s not for the faint of heart. For anyone interested in these bizarre murders, this is a wonderful tour and I highly recommend her.

Be careful of the date...

Be careful of the date for which you choose your tour as we booked a 9 am tour on a day that the facility opened at 10am. That put us in a very long line. that being said, it was a great tour, we had plenty of time to view the exhibits and the beefeaters were very helpful and informative. I recommend but check the schedule for when the summer hours change.

If you don't Cruise you lose!

This was a great experience and worth the money. We got off at Greenwich and had lunch at the Trafalgor restaurant. Food was great! True fish and chips! Not a fan of their mushy peas. Looked through the Mariner museum and them back to Westminster. It was a wonderful day!!

Have your feet well...

Have your feet well rested and get ready for an interesting evening with (hopefully our tour guy Laurie) the tour guide that we had. He gave out tons of information about Jack the Ripper with a lot of enthusiasm for the characters in the story. He was a lot of fun to listen to and gave extra info when asked.

Wonderful tour

We had such a wonderful experience on this tour! Everything was well organized, enjoyable, and informative from beginning to end. Our tour guide was friendly, knowledgeable, and made the entire experience interesting and fun. We especially appreciated how much information our guide shared while still keeping the tour relaxed and enjoyable. We never felt rushed, and there was a great balance between learning about the area and having time to really take everything in. We have taken many tours throughout our month-long European vacation, and this was definitely one of the good ones. It was a great way to experience the area, and we’re very happy we booked it. "Kat"tastic tour :)

Kat gave us an amazing journey through the dark history of the streets of London. She was extremely knowledgeable and was a great storyteller. I walk with a cane and it takes me a while to walk. This tour allowed me to take my time and I didn't feel rushed. Kat even helped us find the correct underground to get us back to our hotel at the end of our tour. If you're a history buff, you'll love this tour. It's not so much about ghosts (though there references to them) it's more about the atrocities of early England and the monarchy.

Wow, London during golden hour!

It was a wonderful tour with Emma, she was the quintessential London tour guide! She knew all of the history and fun facts and sprinkled in her own experiences too. It was a beautiful golden hour tour and was excellent for photos. We had such a fun time - it was the fastest/most fun way to see London if you are on a tight timeline. Cheers!

A sign from the dead!

Tom was a ton of fun and had great ghost stories! Along the way you hit amazing sites with Easter eggs of history that are very off the beaten path. The icing on the cake for our tour was that a London light drizzle during the unfortunate tale of Margaret Pole produced a rainbow over the Tower of London! (I’m sure ole Maggie was saying hey!!)
