Versailles Tour

We had an excellent tour of Versailles by Viator and specifically our guide Anastasia! We were greeted at our designated meeting point and provided additional guidance on using the train from Paris to Versailles. She walked us through the town to the palace and ushered us through the entrance and congested areas. Even though there were crowds our wait was less than 5 minutes to get in. After that we went from room to room where she pointed out the highlights, told us interesting French history, and even offered to take pictures of us for our memories. She had a small microphone and each of us on the tour were given a radio and an earpiece so that we could listen clearly. We then walked the gardens too which were amazing! There were 12 people in our group so it was customized for our interests. We highly recommend this tour and Anastasia!

Versailles makes all other palaces look like the “Hood”! Be prepared to be impressed and amazed! You’ll need to do a lot of walking so wear comfortable clothes and shoes. The gardens are great for kiddos - the palace not so much, but if you go on this tour the time and sequence of the visit is set. If you have children - just purchase garden admissions and let them explore and run around as the gardens are spectacular and are a must see for everyone! Allow more time to see the rest of the palace to include the desk where they signed the treaty of Versailles, more fantastic beautiful rooms, apartments, the gift shop, etc. The gardens do have golf carts for rent if you cannot walk the vast long distances. Ask for Laetitia as a tour guide. She was so knowledgeable and gracious (even when a guest was inappropriate and rude to another wheelchair guest!) Don’t forget to tip your guides!

The golf cart tour at Versailles was an amazing experience and a fantastic way to explore the vast gardens. Riding through the grounds made it easy to see so much more than we could on foot while still feeling relaxed and immersive. I took this tour along with my 10 year old daughter. Highly recommend as a way to get in and out of a very busy Versailles and learn a few things! Versailles - Perfect Tour

Our mini coach arrived right in front of our hotel. Only 4 guests total and Viator did not cancel. Comfortable ride. Emma, our guide, met us at the van and tested our audio devices. We could hear her perfectly. She was completely sensitive to the needs of the small group, understanding how to convey so much fascinating info in a compelling way, while finding rest spots here and there and always taking us to elevators to avoid excessive stairs. She was charming and attentive. After the palace visit she accompanied us into the gardens in a path that was the easiest to navigate. She saw us off at the stands where we were able to buy tickets for the tram that drove us in a loop around the gardens with just enough time to get back to our meeting point of the van by 2PM. We were safely dropped off right at our door. Big success! Bravo Viator. .

Great tour with Anne-Sophie!

Our guide, Anne-Sophie was fantastic! The meeting point is easy to find. The Get Your Guide Office is right across the street from the train station (Versailles Rive Gauche). The office is to the right of McDonalds. Incredibly friendly and helpful staff there as well. Anne-Sophie made French history come alive as she explained different points of interest in each room. She navigated the crowds flawlessly and provided headphones so we could all hear well. She answered all of our questions and even encouraged them. We freely explored the gardens and Trionons after (as we booked the garden ticket that included them). It’s a very vast estate so make sure to wear comfortable shoes. I had about 20,000 steps that day and that’s with using the “petit train”that goes between the palace and the Trionons. Thank you for a great tour, Anne-Sophie!

Dave's Awesome Hidden Gems and Versailles Castle Tour

This tour was definitely one of the highlights of our trip to Paris! Dave was a fantastic guide, knowledgeable, hilarious and genuinely kind. We were able to see so much more of the Castle grounds and hidden gems on bicycle as well as enjoy the beautiful weather. The Castle itself was amazing, but we actually liked seeing Marie Antoinette's cottages and private spaces even more. This tour was awesome. We highly recommend it!
