Loved it, just make sure you jump on the right bus. Read the sign on the front says blue or red, our mistake. Also if you can get front glass to see how many people they hit or cars. That's a fun game, tourist are annoying.😁😁😁

I would not choose this hop on hop off bus. The employees were very friendly but gave incorrect information on the routing of each bus. The headsets gave a “tour” with some information about the city, but the material had no substance just silly banter. A balance of more information would have been helpful

Unreliable

Unreliable. We purchased this several weeks in advance knowing this would be our mode of transportation around the city for the day. We received a notice that one portion of the route would close due to roadwork which was understandable. We planned around that and went to a stop that was on the open portion of the route. Many other tour buses and city buses were stopping there but ours never came. We have inquired with a person selling the companies tickets and he assured us it would come. 40 minutes later and it never showed up. We walked to the next stop and kept walking. When we found another person that worked for them he told us it was closed up to this point. Keep in mind that we saw multiple other buses at those stops. We essentially walked from the Tree House hotel to Buckingham Palace. We finally picked up the bus there and used it 2 times the remainder of the day. The bus itself was clean and the driver was fine but overall not worth the money. There are many companies to choose from. I would definitely pick a different one next time

Wasn't worth it for us

Waited 30 minutes for a bus that never came; app said it was on its way, but it wasn't. There was a photo of where the bus stop was, but you could not zoom in so it was not useful. With the awful London traffic it would've been quicker/easier to just walk.

Awful! Stops were cancelled due to the marathon I’ve emailed and called. I need you to refund so I can then proceed to book a new tour for today. I already spent $512.16 . I have invested more than two hours getting this done. Several emails later. No resolution.

Due to extensive construction projects throughout the city, we were unable to take full advantage of the hop on hop off sights we had hoped to see. As a result we missed out on several key spots we had planned to visit during the day. Big Bus didn’t provide any possible alternative stopping places which might have made the experience more positive. London first-timer

The buses might show up back to back and then you may not have another one for a hour. That could possibly be an animal lit but that was the case for my single day use. The bus stops at the expected tourist areas so you can get to a desired site with relative ease. At one point two buses stopped running and people waited for nearly a hour for a bus, only for it to arrive and a school group to jump ahead of others that had been waiting and this was with the companies assistance. We skipped further use and just booked a taxi through the Freenow app. I must also advise that there appeared to be more buses and reliable stop times with other companies (ex. city sightseeing). The river cruise was pretty nice and you’ll get good views of Tower Bridge and the London skyline but the employee at the queue was incredibly rude to several passengers. This was just my experience and I hope that yours is better.

We booked this tour to get the highlights of the city. The audio portion was horrible. The volume & earpieces worked terrific however the content was a zero. Most of the time it was elevator music playing. Called out minimal highlights then the commentary that was made was silly versus insightful. I have done this tour in many cities in Europe & they have been excellent. The London tour was not worth a penny.

Hot Bus and Rude Driver

The bus is very hot. We started off on the top deck and made our way down thinking that the bottom deck was cooler, but to our surprise, it was a hot box. We sat in traffic for the most part and circled Marble Arch 3 times. We eventually asked to get off the bus but the driver was so rude and screamed at us when we got off. We were still able to use our river cruise ticket but we took an uber to the pier instead of the bus.

Got off the bus in London

London is too congested for hop on hop off tours. You basically go around in a circle. We ended up missing stops due to traffic and finally asked to be let off even though we were far from our destination. There was no communication from the driver as to what the issues were. Do not recommend this activity in London.

Rude drivers, mediocre recorded audio tour

Two of our three drivers were rude and not communicative and had zero customer service skills. It was disappointing that the audio tours were recorded. When I took one of these tours years ago, the live guide was the best part. In fact, that was the highlight of the bus cruise. The guide there was funny and very informative.

Diversion chaos

That route changes can happen, however it would have been nice when this happens to have drivers announce stops because prerecord tape gets stops mixed up with diversions. Drivers should also announce at last stop before diversion what next stop will be, again pre recorded tape not sync when bus diverted.

Royal Walking Tour with Emma was amazing!

There was a lot of detours and traffic on the day we took the bus. We were on board for over an hour and had only gotten to one stop. W had to get off the bus and use the metro to get to our chosen destination. Although we understand that traffic is not within your control, it is something people should be aware of if they are using the bus with specific destinations in mind. The driver was very helpful and honest that we would not get to the destination we were looking for in time and advised us how to use the tube to get to our destination. The boat tour was great and the staff on board were entertaining and knowledgeable about the sites.

The canned narration on the Big Bus was totally underwhelming and not very informative. Will not use Big Bus in other cities.

The wait time for buses are longer than 20 minutes. Most buses were full and we couldn’t get on. The workers were rude to us when we tried to ask them questions.

This is not a guided tour. It’s a ride in a bus around London. Saw lots of city streets and few attractions. They gave us earplugs but they mostly played elevator music. The driver never announced stop we were at. It was a disappointment from the beginning. The day we went was July 4th which we knew would have interruptions due to the Pride Parade but the stops were all in different order without any announcement. We simply got off and walked about. It was not worth the fee charged. Choose another company.

We enjoyed the hop on hop off bus. We also did he Jack The ripper tour which our tour guide Emma was very knowledgeable The river cruise was nice but shorter than expected. My only complaint is the bottom of the bus was not air conditioned and too hot to make the excursion enjoyable.
