Itinerary
After pickup from the central London meeting point, travel by air-conditioned coach to your first stop, Windsor. Here, you’ll go on a walking tour of the city and admire Windsor Castle.
Afterward, continue by bus to Stonehenge. Admire England’s countryside as you travel to Salisbury Plain, the home of this UNESCO-listed stone circle, whose origins stretch back 4,500 years. If option selected, marvel at the prehistoric edifice, now generally thought to have been a temple aligned to the movements of the sun.
Next, continue to the picture-postcard village of Lacock, one of England’s prettiest spots. You'll visit a welcoming, 14th-century pub, and savor a delicious, traditional English lunch.
Duly refreshed, venture onward to the handsome Georgian city of Bath, once home to Jane Austen, the beloved, 18th-century novelist. Enjoy a panoramic coach tour of the honey-stoned architecture, admiring top Bath attractions such as the sublime Royal Crescent and Pulteney Bridge en route.

- If the lunch option is selected, choose from four meals, including fish & chips and a vegetarian option. Lunch is served at approximately 3pm. If The George Inn is unavailable, we'll arrange a similar alternative. Lunch may be served later than usual or replaced with an early supper.
- Windsor Castle is closed Tuesdays, Wednesdays, and December 25–26; on these dates you'll have free time to explore the town of Windsor instead. St George's Chapel is closed on Sundays, with extra time to explore the castle precincts. If the State Apartments are occasionally closed, your tour may visit the precincts, St George's Chapel (except Sundays), or Queen Mary's Dolls' House instead.

It’s a long day, but worth it! Windsor Castle is amazing, as is St. George’s Chapel. The architecture and intricacies of the carved wood and stone around the castle and chapel is so beautiful. Stonehenge is very interesting. We were fortunate to have a sunny day, but still a cool wind (early October), so dress appropriately. Lunch in Lacock was delicious and the town is quaint. Very interesting story behind the town and it is currently run by the national trust. Our tour guide made the trip interesting and kept us engaged during the trip. He pointed out the Cotswolds and other sites along the way. Bath was a beautiful place also. Not a huge amount of time at each place, but enough to get a feel for each. Our driver was excellent. He avoided traffic in London with ease and drove safely. I would recommend this tour. We took jackets and water bottles. None of the stops require walking sticks, but wear comfortable shoes!

Our guide was exceptional! It was obvious Rowan loves her job and the places she shared. She was very knowledgeable and told us great stories of the people and places of England. I originally thought the tour was pricey but it was worth it! Our driver did a skillful job driving us through the small country roads and the ride was very comfortable My husband and I enjoyed this tour very much. Thank you Rowan!!!

Unfortunately we missed this excursion. Allowed 45 minutes to go 4-1/2 miles but our cab never showed. Our Uber driver did the best he could but London traffic was a complete and total nightmare. We ran into the station 2 minutes late but the bus had left. My sister and her husband were on the bus relaying our progress to the tour operator but it didn’t help. Thanks to Viator they were able to get us on the afternoon out and back to Stonehenge which soothed the anger and tears. Would have liked to share the experience with my sister. In the afternoon excursion we waited 3 minutes for two riders who were running late and 7 minutes for the same two riders when we were ready to return. Stonehenge was pretty darn cool.

When I was talking to the gentleman about the tour he gave me some information that was not true. About Windsor Castle we did not go in there.

Not enough time at Stonehenge due to queues to get on Shuttle Buses in both directions. The same issue at Windsor Castle. I would recommend going when school is in session..

This is the worst tour we have booked through Viator. Have traveled to many countries and used Viator always. Great tour company but this one was trying to see too many places in one day (13-1/2 hr tour) but long driving distances between each. It was very expensive and we didn’t even have time to get close to see Stonehenge. After the shuttle bus to get out to see them we literally had 7 minutes to get to them and get back and it was at minimum a 7 minute walk to them and then would need picture time. We were also only able to see Very little at Windsor castle. We did go to the pub for lunch, which was excellent, and to see Bath. This was a colossal waste of money

It was a great opportunity to be able to see many areas such as Stonehenge and Windsor Castle. And also briefly Bath.
Eugene gave us a lot of history about each of the areas. He was also sure to tell us the highlight of each area. We would have liked a bit more time in Windsor and Bath.
Robert was a great driver on the narrow roads.

Excellent tour and history lesson from Eugene. It's alot to get into 1 day but with Robert knowing back roads and routes around traffic and Eugene keeping the entire trip interesting. It was great.

Our tour guide, Tom, was great! He knew so much about the history, but also added some etymology about different words that we so commonly use without thinking.

We had the most amazing day with Rowan and Ricardo! Ricardo drove us through the glorious countryside while Rowan shared history facts and stories about all the sites. She was the perfect combination of facts and fun! The day gave a taste of all the locations and left us craving more. It was a great way to see a variety of sites. We cannot wait to return and spend more time in each of these areas.

We had our tour with James on 5/30/26. He was very knowledgeable, walked a great pace, had a very soothing voice to listen to on the 12 hr day/drive, and was very friendly. He was also perfectly clear about where or what time to find him or the bus after we were allowed to venture and take photos. Stonehenge and Windsor were incredible but definitely rushed for the full day itinerary.
What would’ve made it even better. We wish:
- his references were a bit more up to date. My party was in their 30s and 50s and most references didn’t land with either generation.
- more bathroom breaks were more incorporated into schedule or more clear to prioritize on your own time vs. expecting to have time do so built in. We rarely had a chance to use the on-board facilities.
- It was clearer in listing that Roman baths are not visible from outside to simply look at. You must arrive before 5pm, pay, and enter to see any Roman baths. If you do the full 12-hr itinerary, apparently you won’t arrive on time to see the Roman baths themselves, as part of the trip to Bath.
- 12-hour day’s full itinerary and how long we’ll be in each area was shared and more common knowledge so we understood ahead of time how much time we have in each area or before the activity.
- For example: We had to use the restroom while in line for Windsor and ended up (purposely) in line from 8:30am-10am with no bathrooms open in the town yet. We wish we were told to use toilets on bus before we were intended to wait in line for 1.5 hrs. Every time we asked about a restroom, it was a surprise to the guide.
Also, a party of 2 missed the bus and we + the larger group was never notified, never impressed to implement buddy system or let him know if we notice groups missing or trailing behind. Seemed odd to not mention or help the remaining guests not suffer the same fate.

It is a wonderful day trip seeing 4 different places. Time is restricted at the venues but you get a taste of each place. The guide, James, was very knowledgeable and the driver ,Robert, excellent. There is a lot of walking but it is all worthwhile. The lunch at the pub was a perfect addition.

We absolutely loved this day trip. Stonehenge was amazing to see as was Windsor Castle. Rowan was an awesome guide and provided so much history and interesting information. Walking around Bath was so cool - such an amazing place. We ended with dinner in the charming village of Lacock. Robert did a great job driving and the day stayed true to the timeframe mapped our in the detailed plans.

The trip gives a good short experience at every location. A long day for sure but with the lunch/dinner experience in LaCock made the trip that much better. Rowan, our guide, and Ricardo the bus driver were a perfect pair for the day. Rowan’s depth of knowledge and friendly demeanor were perfect! Definitely a good trip to get a lot of English experiences in one day.

It was very nice. Left plenary of time to explore on your own. Get the upgrade to include admission Stonehenge and Windsor castle and the dinner. Well worth it. Ethan and Robert were awesome!!!

Fantastic tour guide. Robyn was so informative, fun and engaging. Bit more time at Windsor and Bath would have been ideal. Especially our time at Windsor wasn't sufficient to enjoy walking through the state rooms.

Rowan, our guide, was very sweet and knowledgeable. She was quite funny too! She had a dragon 🐲 umbrella to make it easy for our daughter and I to find her. Trust me when I say, with that many people around - from her own group to other tour groups - it was a brilliant idea. We were always able to locate her in no time. Our driver of very little words, Ricardo, was great. Very smooth around other vehicles plus made great time without fail. I've been on other tours where it truly seemed like it was that driver's first day handling a bus. Ricardo definitely seemed like a seasoned pro at this: exactly what a mother wants when traveling with her daughter. A++ experience all around!
