Will not be booking with Big Bus for tours ever again, will definitely choose another operator. We chose to pay extra for the 48 hour bus tour so we could get the bonus three walking tours, the London Eye ride and the river cruise. Trying to fit all three into two days felt impossible due to the strict time constraints and the buses only running one way for a majority of the loops. And, once we did decide to leave enough time for making it to the last walking tour, we along with many other customers, we're stood up! Spent over an hour of very valuable time waiting at the meeting point only to wait for a bus driver to call the office and we were eventually told they cancelled the tour! Luckily we decided to do our river boat cruise BEFORE the walking tour or we would have missed that as well! Very poor planning, no guide on site at the meeting point stop (should've went with another operator as they had MANY guides bugging us to buy a tour, but at least they were there!), the one young guide standing half a block up the road from the meeting point (like what?) didn't know what he was doing and was dismissive and kinda rude, and the fact the busses only run until 6pm leaves you scrambling to try to fit everything in. Disappointed in Big Bus..

The London Eye experience and the cruise were great. The crew.for the ship.had very entertaining commentary about the London highlights along the Thames. The Big Bus B hop.on hop off though does not have live commentary. You need to grab the headphones to listen to the commentary which is less of a unique experience. The drivers are quite rude as well.

We bought a 48 hr pass..we arrived Monday afternoon so our pass was good until Wednesday. It is easy to navigate and gets you all around London from the National Gallery all the way to Harrods and the V and A or to St Paul's Cathedral. Just be sure to ask what the next stop is at the changeover at stop 12 (The London Eye) so you dont go the wrong way.

Never once did we have a pleasant driver. Yes they answered a quick question but otherwise appeared annoyed to be working.
The audio is pathetic. Not enough explained historical knowledge and facts rather more elevator music than necessary. Gone are the days of an actual MC full of wonderful information and comical "did you know".

Plenty of hop on hop off buses. Could get to most places. Some stops closed due to trooping of colours but they always advised you how to get to where you wanted. The guides were great. Kevin who was our Jack the Ripper walking guide was excellent, very knowledgeable, kept us interested. Going on the big eye & cruise were good obviously helped by good weather, again all staff very friendly.
All in all great value for the money spent.

The ticket doesn't show the stops. The tour company didn't respond to my question. Viator however replied with a full explanation. Once we found the bus it was great. We enjoyed the Eye, the boat, and even the Jack the Ripper tour with Emma who definitely knows the details! The bus was comfortable and I really enjoyed the audio as well.

The Big Bus experience was worth the money. We got the essential ticket which meant we got the River cruise, London eye, and walking tour. We ended up not using the walking tour ticket but the essential ticket was still worth the $. My only issue is the big bus ends quite early, I wish it would run at least 1 more hour because once we finished our activities we hardly got to use the bus. We never were able to get out to ride the blue route due to traffic and the big bus routes winding down for the end of the day.

Start you bus ride early in day as it gets really busy as day goes on. The routes take 2 1/2 - 3 hours…..long long ride. The audio is poor and not well conceived… limited history, etc.
Access to EYE went flawless. Remember you appointment time. River ride ….. ah
But it’s a way to get preview of London….. and get out and walk! Use a map app

This is a great way to see all the sights in London. Buses run about four times an hour. You have three different lines to choose from and can mix and match if you like. All bus stops and sights have a representative in a red vest to help in any way you can. Buses have complimentary headphones to plug in for commentary along the way. We opted for a ride on the London Eye. That had incredible views and was very relaxing. We also opted for a one way river cruise from one end of the sights to the other. We did it at the end so where we got off was closest to our hotel. We would definitely do this experience of London again! Worth every penny.

This particular hop-on hop-off was very poor compared to others I have been on in the past. The 6pm time of the last bus felt super early. It was before dinner and way before sunset. We missed the last bus by 5 minutes and ended up having to take the subway back to the train station. The stops are also very poorly labeled on the street and were difficult to find. There was also no announcement by the driver or the audio tape to get off for major landmarks such so it was major guess work comparing their poor map to Google Maps. Positives: we got onto the London eye and river cruise in 15 minutes. The bus was a great way to see all of London in 1 day (which unfortunately was all we had time for on this trip which is why we opted for the bus tour). I would still recommend a bus tour if you want to see all of London in 1 day. It will just take a lot of pre-planning before hand.

I had trouble finding the pick up spots and even then the buses didn't come within 20 minutes. I sat at one spot for well over an hour and never saw one bus from this company but numerous buses from other companies.
I finally was able to get on the bus and was going to ride it all the way around and I understood the driver to tell me that I would be back at my original stop at the end of it, but that did not turn out to be true and every bus driver that told me which bus would get me back gave me misinformation.
I had to miss my booking for the eye on the first day because I never could find a bus to get me there on time. Luckily they did honor my ticket the next day. But I ended up using other options to the hop on hop off bus after that first day. Very disappointing experience.

The Hop On Hop off Bus is a great way to see a new city and the London one is no exception. This one has 3 routes and 55 stops so there are plenty of things to see.
London Traffic is such that there is no chance of being able to see it all in 2 days, so dont even try.
If you plan it out though you will be able to use this to see plenty of good stuff or even just stay on the bus and do a full loop to see the city, which will take at least 4 hours to do.
The River Cruise is a nice option and worth taking and we also did the Jack The Ripper and Harry Potter Walking Tours which were really good. Kevin was a great Tour Guide
If you research the days for the changing of the guard at Buckingham Palace the Royal Walking Tour will take that in as well.

We took the 2-day bus as a way to see what’s where, so we could decide what to do. But the bus tour itself was amazing entertaining and informative. As was the river trip. And the Eye has both stunning views and a great narration. Highly recommended.

The ticket includes the hop on hop off bus, London Eye, River cruise and 3 walking tours which is a great deal. The bus was great for the most part to get us around town to different sights. The commentary always seemed a little behind as we drove, I am sure the traffic did not help as it always had a lot of traffic around. The buses did not come as frequently as the other companies so there is a wait. The London eye was spectacular and worth the price and line (which moves quickly) views were so beautiful. We are traveling with our disabled son and it was a great activity for him that did not evolve walking. The river cruise was pleasant and we had a live person commentary that was fun and entertaining. We started the changing of the guard tour but our guide was a very fast walker and we got left behind so never made it to actually see the changing of the guard. We did not attempt the other two tours as we didn’t want our son to be disappointed again not being able to keep up. All in all this was a good purchase.

It was very difficult to get the bar code to work. Had to go into customer service which took quite some time. By the time we came out line was super long. The actual Eye experience was great. But again delays backed us up for river cruise also.
By the time we were able to do hop on hop off bus it was 3:00pm. Not much time on bus and there were not able to punch our ticket for the time we started our 24 hour period. This resulted in not being able to prove what time we started to give us our 24 hour period. We could not get on the next day because our ticket was dated 4/16 and it did not indicate what time we started the day prior. Been on many Viators and never had a not so good experience. I guess there’s a first time for everything. We have more to follow and looking forward to better experience.

Hop on/off bus was really good! Allows you to see things & places that you may want to revisit at a later time. The bus ride is about 2/3 hrs and it really covers a lot of areas. I did the 48 hrs pass which included the London eye and river ride which only goes in 1 direction it’s not a rd trip tour so fyi. Overall no complaints!

Even though there was a long line, it moved quickly. They take your picture while waiting in the line. You can purchase it later( I didn't). It moves very slowly and you have many opportunities to get great pics of the city. Overall a very nice time. I had beautiful weather, too!

I'm glad I got the package instead of buying each item individually. The bus was easy to use and took us everywhere. We listed to a pre-recorded audio tour, which was totally fine. Kids listened and learned stuff. We also got the option of three walking tours, a visit to the London Eye, and a quick river cruise. We only did one tour, which was great as our tour guide Kevin as quite knowledgeable and friendly. Wish we had done the others but we had so much to see and so little time in London. The London Eye was great for the views and we chose sunset which made it more spectacular. The river cruise was pretty lame, though, as it was just a quick trip down the Thames. I'm glad that we could say we did that but the experience was nothing special.

Takes longer. Very less big bus employees at station to help answer
Biggest disappointment is river cruise. No body told me where to leave the cruise and I remain seated and dropped somewhere else. They charged me additional $24.00 to drop back. I want $24.00 refunded. Please let me know
