Good idea but poorly executed

The guide was an hour late, I paid for a 2 hour tour and only had a 1 hour tour. The office staff were not helpful or professional. The guide didn’t know anything about the nature of the bayou or the history of Houston. We really enjoyed being on the water, it’s an interesting to IEC the city, the equipment was fine but there was nothing remarkable about the chosen route. Just rent your own kayak and go! Not worth the $

Blake was a great guide and it was a fun trip. The bayou was very trashy. Not sure if it was due to a storm or if it is always trashy. Viator messed up my reservation. I specifically scheduled our trip at 1p, but was switched to 10a. So the trip and guide were great, but Viator was not.

Sorry about the mix up with your trip! The bayou ebbs and flows with trash to be completely honest. We offer a free clean up the first Sunday of every month and the Buffalo Bayou Partnership we're associated with also has two trash pontoons that help maintain the Bayou.
